Chronics Headstash Garden

Piff Coast Farms it is. They have a website, that's about all I know.
Thanks for those link I will check them out.
I haven't watched Mathew gates yet but I guess I won't have to now. I did catch a few random vids about aphids on YT, one had decent macro footage showing the aphids being attacked and infected by bassiana and the *nematodes
Also a vid by tad hussey interviewing this scientist here I can't remember her name but theinterview goes askew at crucial moments and questions went unanswered but I could gleen a few things.

Have a couple strains in mid veg that are worthy of some attention Id say. Im working on flipping my pheno hunting plants into flower earlier to keep them small and more manageable. It can be a bit tough to get a full picture of how the plant will act in production type settings. But im able to sift through based on the final flower quality, and then rerun anything that I deem worthwhile to see how it performs in production.

Anyways...

here is a little bit of "older" tonygreen gear.
(please excuse all the clear Mg def. i need to improve my airflow...)

SSSGB (SSSDH s1 (from OJD) x Gorilla Bubble bx3)

Super Lemon Haze f5 from Ethos

picture.php

bigger kinda thin leaved

small thin leaf

super mutant 6 leaf clover looking thing

Ive got plans for these... oh Ive got plans...

a) I wouldnt mind finding a nice production keeper with clear lemon terps. PErsonally, I'm not the biggest fan of lemon terps, its not that I dont like them, its just I usually prefer my weed to smell like weed not lemon. Its a nice novelty. but not for the everyday toke. but thats just my preference. I have some buddies who die over lemon terps, so shit, if it makes them happy...

b) shes gonna get passed around the house if ya know what I mean...

def wanna hit the SLH and Kosher together. Start with a strong growing highly productive, lemon terped base, and add the raw power of the kosher... Prob the larry bear too cus that shit is loud and already has the background lemon... Also wanna hit the subcool JC2 and Lemon Penetration (lemon tree x snow lotus) from bodhi to get some pure lemon lines to search through. **edit also gonna hit the Hazeman White Grapes, which is pretty much a 98 Aloha White Widow bc1...

Right on.

And thats pretty cool. I guess he probably helps some people so maybe I shouldnt be so quick to call him out. But I find him to be uninformative, unhelpful to the extent of making things harder than they have to be , and get the strong impression he is more interested in self promotion than anything else.

in contrast, Ive always enjoyed listening to tad hussey. its been a while but iirc he seems to be helpful and informative. Albeit he runs KIS... but I dont get the feeling he tries to market his shit too hard.

Yeah! I get the impression with a lot of free content that people will half answer questions to incentivize people to follow them or whatever.

Talking about IPM and insect ID. one thing I think a lot of people worry about (i did too) is root aphids when they see some movement in the soil. and i think there is a huge thread "root aphid or fungus gnat."

Once youve seen both its crazy how different they are lol. fungus gnats are skinny slender and black, look like little mosquitos that fly all around. root aphids are these fat roundish extremely slow moving things, the ones i saw were a reddish brown but i think they can be that pastel white aphid color, maybe those are the larvae? . and i mean they move at sloths pace. and they are thick. once they hit a high enough threshold they will start crawling around on the outside of pots.I saw winged ones, but never actually saw one flying. they seem lazy as shit. squishing them is actually very gratifying, and it would leave a little smear on the pots. I was pretty fortunate to work at a greenhouse that had a lot of insect problems back in the day and I got first hand experience seeing pests in action, not in my personal grow.

All in all id say the movement is the dead giveaway, even if youre not great with insect id.

hypoasis miles are smaller than root aphids, and again, the give away would be their movement. hypoasis miles move quite quickly.

Well, I checked on my living soil plant late last night and they looked amazing. Super perky and happy green. Then this morning they look kinda droopy and sad. It almost seems that after some time in the light they perk up, and during dark time they get all droopy... which is kinda counter intuitive. Idk ... i think i just need to let them run their course without taking any heavy handed actions that could potentially be detrimental. Sink or swim time I guess.

And an amended update to the cookie seed germ... I was mistaken when I said I killed a Rozay... theyre all still fine. It was a Cookies and Cream f3 (made from the f2 stock) that was accidentally killed. Im kinda surprised to say that the Grease monkey f2 seems extremely runty from seed... idk. I was expecting strong growth... The rozay f3 seems to be chugging on nice for her young age.
Excited to see how this al turns out...

I like the sounds of this one. Maybe cos I'm a lil dubd out after running the dreaming dubbles. And I'm itching to pop these gbbx2.
I was passed a killer SLH clone years ago. Rank gym socks and lemons, vigorous frosty fast and structure, 12/10 bag appeal green purple thick with gooey resin. Creative high. I would've liked to reverse my old sour bubble bx4 keeper and crossed them.
I'm with you I'm not the biggest fan of lemon but I do appreciate it. I have produced plenty from Hawaiian Superskunk X 2 pounder, very dominant lemon. My favourite lemon was from Magic Bud from paradise seeds, lovely trichome coating.
Get outta town about the gorilla biscuit, that was top of my list. But I passed on them and grabbed chunkys dub X cookieboi.

Yeah, both the LGB and SSSGB should be interesting. I hope I can find a big heavy yielding sour in the SSSGB. I imagine the LGB will be more headstash material.

Hell yeah! run those bx2's.
I have the bx2's as well plus the unbroken chain from mycotek , which is a gg4 bx3 that is planned to be in my next seed drop. The seed drop is gonna be heavy on chem and og... mainly chem... gonna run those VG C4DD's... looks like youve been doing phenomenal work with those.

And oh man, about SSH. I have like no experience with the SSH or other hazes for that matter... but ive got some cindy gear going on, and one of them is a c99 bc over a SSH from duke diamond and it is turning absolutely beautiful! ive been more thoroughly documenting those in the C99 and friends thread, but i should probably drop a couple pics over here.

Ive been really lagging behind these last few weeks to be honest... im not sure whats going on...

Lol about the Gorilla biscuit IX, thats one that has been sitting in my stash for a while. I kept on planning to run it, but i have so many other stardawg outcrosses I just couldnt find time. glad i fianlly got her in. seems like we have similar interests in genetics... :dance013:

And I actually have some chunky in my cookie run going. Some chem panties f2... Im deadset on hitting those with the cookies and cream f3 to make some "cream panties"... lmfao **edit, going through my seed stash I have the sour dubb x cookieboi too... dubbie baked? im stoked i got the chem panties, but I wish I had picked up chunkys scout breath too (2.0 x cookieboi). I have the 2.0 bx1 from mycotek (2.0 x (2.0 x 3 chems) ) , popped half the pack a while back to make f2's and saving the rest until I get the clone so i can make some bx2's, bx3's and onward...

oh hah! my bad. I need to check my glasses... lol.

Hopefully I find something that good... how was the yield on the girl?

also I guess the ethos release isnt directly related to the Greenhouse one. Ethos says that apparently they were told by Greenhouse that the genetics of the SLH are Lemon Skunk x Jack Herer, not Lemon Skunk x SSH. Idk...

Anyways, so Ethos took a SLH clone, and hit it with a (Jack Herer x Lemon Skunk (i think) ) of their own. and then linebred that to f5.

Whatever, Im happy to try it out as Greenhouse only has their SLH available in fems... and ive heard that their genetics have kinda fallen by the wayside. And ethos is fairly highly respected.

Living soil plants are looking good and straight exploded this last week. Im thinking a couple have about doubled in size. I was wanting to give around 3 weeks for the plants to root in before triggering into flower but im already thinking they may be too large. Gonna flip tomorrow... right at 14 days.

that being said, I most definitely could have done a better job this run...

1) plants were already a bit too big when they were uppoted into soil because i was waiting for soil to be ready.

2)I didnt do the best job at orienting and spacing the plants during planting. I shouldve spent more time...

3) I drastically underestimated how much the plants would grow with the larger soil space. I'm used to plants more or less halting upward foilage growth for about a week after uppot, as I imagine they dedicate their energy to root in... not in this case I guess. It also exacerbated the varietal differences with a couple plants being significantly larger than the rest...
I also think that the 2 - 50 gal SIPs are way too much for a 4x4 area. not enough actual canopy space for the plants to fully utilize the soil... I guess maybe if you train plants into only a couple main tops it could work...but I think a 5x5 area would be more appropriate for this level of soil...

all these issues componded into plants being overgrown and shading problems.
oh well, ya live and ya learn.

Think I figured out how to post pics. so were getting somewhere.
will get to updating this thread soon.
also wanna make a new thread for the living soil plants, which are growing like nuts.

in the garden, veg plants are starting to show sex. so im moving males to the male area. and uppotting and taking cuts off the females. so thats happening.
also made a bunch of diy CO2 bags. I bought one (a co2 bag) at a grow store the other week and have been letting it inoculate since. it finished filling in the other day, so i cut it up into like 6 pieces, filled up some of the plastic mushroom bags with coco, threw a chunk of the fungus in, and sealed them up. so now i have 6 co2 bags haha.

the SLH have some daaank stem rubs. texture is very slick oily, not sticky. smell already has a clear lemon note but with an added heavy pungent tone. I couldnt get any clear stem rubs after cus my fingers just smelled of the SLH for the next while.haha
