Thank you so much for your support @Sensistar42 :smoke:
Your welcome! I’m really hoping it will end up being a good indica to cross my sativas too. Do you find it to make you groggy at all like the afghanis?

I’m looking at the Pck for more winter crosses and the China to give the more shorter times to sativas for side stash, while being more bodied of a high for the gf. I Like the thought of being able to have a hybrid done when the others are halfway to be able to make sure I can have some meds with the sativas in it.

Most pure Chinese Yunnan plants and phenotypes generally produce clean and pleasant effects @Sensistar42 only the most extreme purple indica phenotype can be more intoxicating, much like most Afghanis selected in the West.

The best selected and most refined Chinese hashplant white-green side was captured in Orient Express Chinese indica expressions, while best of purple side of Chinese was captured in Kali China, but breeding for healing meditative pleasant effects instead of intoxicating.

Thank you for the information dubi! I’m glad I’ve gotten to coincidentally try the China leaning orient express. 🤣🤣 For the males, do the purple expressions show on the males? I would be mostly selecting for the white/green side for crosses. After an open pollenation.

Update, out of 6 of the China yunnan pack I have 2 females and 4 males.

The 2 females are on day 5 of flower and I will put in the males at 1 to 1/2 weeks of flower.
The 2 females were topped before flower and 1 has started to have side-branching start to grow faster then the other. Also more of a stem rub smell and what I’m thinking are male preflowers on some of the newer branches. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ I’ll monitor them closely and if they are I’ll take it out of the open pollenation plans. Though it could be the topping that stressed it so I’ll keep it to try and and see if it shows those tendencies again on a different run.

The males were also topped because I want them in a small beer cup to pollenate then I will discard them after they have done there job.

There will also be a honduras, Ethiopian, nepal and Violeta in there as well. I debated the orient I have as well but I think I would just get more packs to look through them if I want a better version of that. And I didn’t feel like and modern hybrid mix would be worth the time to toss in because I don’t have anything that I really love along those lines.

Saw this on one of the 4 males open pollenating yeaterday. This guy is about to open and a bit quicker then the other 3 and the only one to show a herm. My first male herm. 🤣🤣 but it’s leaves are so jagged and different then the rest and looked like a quick finishing pheno and I I didn’t want to axe it because of the open pollenation but I’m sure I probably should. 🤣🤣

What do you think dubi? I don’t want to go eliminate traits and genes. That being said it might be better to axe it and grab another pack in the future for open pollenating.

My environment conditions are a bit rough right now from the cold. House furnace hasn’t been ran much and it’s definitely cool in there. It will be better when the furnace keeps up consistently in cooler temps. So it definitely some testing grounds along with them in solo cups and about 12 in tall. Rootbound/temps could be the culprit. If I knew if it was enviromental I would be bothered as much. 🤣🤣 other boys look fine and the lone girl does too.

I was wonder since he would drop some pollen first that I would let some pollen sacks open and do a light seeding and then removing him. Then let the other continue till the end thinking that he will have some seeds of his but the rest be from different pollen.

I ended up pulling that male, and we are down to 1 china female and 3 males. I didn’t want to end up compromising any of the other crosses being made at the same time.

I know I’ve been slacking on the pictures, I still haven’t gettin my previous runs of hond. Nepal. Ethiopian, up. 🤣🤣 I’ll try and get my ass in gear this weekend with them.

Also the current China female has a berry, chocolate smell to it. When turning the fans off and smacking the males all over the females, this female smells more of a old fruit in a garbage can smell the day after it’s in there.

My gf says the males smelled of strong pine when they were chopped up waiting to get tossed out.
