while the soulshine x jack cures and I do a proper report I'll share some of the other chimera genetics I have in flower. below is a cross I made with some highland Oaxaca x BB pollen that has proven excellent so far in everything I have used it in. Here, I have it crossed with an Island PurpxSS and have two different but very good plants. this is the second run with the first run really surprising me with its taste and effect. the plant on the left has a good balance of head/body effect and is as close to being a middle of the road plant as I currently have. The effects are super chill mellow with fantastic energy without inducing paranoia. With friends or by myself it has a great vibe and is very euphoric and happy. The taste carries the Island Purp terps with a very good dose of blueberry in the mix. Very tasty and pleasant and my friends call it happy blue weed...a name that fits perfectly. the plant on the right which is just going into flower is her sister with a completely different effect and taste. She is electric, clear and a bit racy in the beginning. This plant is all head effect and she swings from clear focus to disorienting with thoughts jumping all over the place depending on how much I smoke. Very very strong head on this one and I has caught me off guard a couple times. It has more of a fuel kush type flavor with just a hint of berries. Both plants produced very good resin that gum up the tip of my joint after a few hits.

This is one of the Mountain Jam plants from last run. This is the outlier of the 3 sisters not sharing structure or nose. This one had a pronounced citrus smell and flavor which reminds me of the Citra Paradiso line I grew out some time ago. Flower set is larger than the other two which have tighter nugs on medium sized flowers. The other 2 have a very fruity kush type smell which burns really nice in a joint. This particular plant is more branched and grows out like some equatorial hybrids. the effect is also a touch more heady and clear and after a cure has a strong floral taste when it burns. Very different from the other two. I am only running 2 of the 3 with hopes of just selecting one for my summer smoke this year. So far it between this and the #2 plant which was the most flavorful and terpy.

HazexSS/CongoxBH

This is one of my pollen chucks that actually yielded a worthwhile plant. Excellent effects from this cross with a hazy/congo taste. While the congo side is subtle smell wise, the flavor really comes through. The plant has a strong lemony incense smell that is very aromatic when burned. Unbelievably potent to boot so a winner all around. Not a clear mind journey in effect so not something I smoke if I need to focus on a task. However, if I want to get lost in thought, enjoy nature or listen to music this is what I reach for...I respond really well to this cut.

Has the hazxss flower structure with nice branching that thicken as the flower matures. Can usually harvest this before week 10 if run right. Also doesn't mind a good guano/alfalfa/compost dressing at week four to get her flowers thick, sticky, and stinky.

BC OG x Jack.

below are my two bc og's that I have currently around week 5 flower. I wasn't going to show these because they were planted into a medium that was not ready (compost still too hot) and didn't think they would thrive but they proved me wrong. They were also somewhat neglected because I sprouted way too may seeds around the same time these went in the ground. These 2 gals didn't seem to care and once in the flower room quickly started making flower with minimal stretch. Both plants have swelled nicely in the last week or so and one seems like it will finish perfectly around week 8 or sooner. Even though they get leaf curl after each watering due to the rich soil they are performing much better than expected. They have a similar structure but if you look close enough you can notice the flower structure is a bit different. The plant on the left (#1) has a bit of a cone top and plant #2 (right plant) is flatter and thicker. The plant on the left has more of the fruitiness the Jack can impart but I will reserve a full description until they are fully ripe and ready for harvest.

Thank you Lordovdabuds. These have been a super easy grow. Looking forward to the smoke.

So continuing my pollen chucks adventures featuring Chimera stock, I have some new crosses to show. Below are some Fighting Buddha I dusted with my Highland Oaxacan male. I made these last year but had to wait to start exploring. The cross is Burmese Sativa/BB x Guerrero/BB. I expect some heavy BB traits to predominate but the mix of the Burmese and Guerrero sativa genetics should produce some interesting phenos I'm hoping. The Burmese female i chose had a real nice high. A buzz not often seen these days with some of the newer high THC varieties i find at the local dispensaries. For those that have not tried Chimera's fighting buddha line you are really missing out...especially if you prefer heady feel good weed you can smoke all day. Anyhow, below are my seedlings just starting off and I have my fingers crossed to get just a couple females to enjoy this summer.

Above: Burmese Sativa/BB x Guerrero/BB

I also made some PureKush/BH x HM/BB I am currently growing and some Hightest x NL#1/ChemDbx seeds I recently harvested. The pure kush plant pheno I chose leaned heavy towards the og style with a vine like structure, super tight golf ball nugs and a terp heavy profile where the piney smell and taste were the star. I'll post these soon once they grow a bit.

Wow, always great to see you pushing out the good stuff here Jah.
looking forward to seeing what your FB x HM/BB cross holds. You’re totally right about the FB being a great feel good daytime type. Fantastic for creativity and socialising with that happy euphoric vibe.

Week 8 of the ip/ss x hm/bb. I believe she has another 10 days or so before harvest. She is using up all her food and fading nicely as she finishes. Strong burnt rubber odor and rotting berries that somehow smell sweet up close and from afar, skunk and fuel.

next up: BC Og x Jack @ week 6 flower.

below are my two bcogxjack plants that are looking like they will finish before the 8th week. Resin production is really good considering they were all but neglected and not given any extra flower boost this cycle. The soil was a bit hot but they still managed to grow with only minor tip burn and some clawing. They both have an earthy but sweet smell with one plant also having a slight fruitiness on the nose and slightly better yield...most likely the Jack contribution.

Sorry for the lack of updates to this thread. I had hoped to regularly post updates of current runs available from BR offerings plus some stuff I have made using Chimera's genetics but honestly got lazy and just needed some time away. I'm back with some new seedlings and figured I would share while I grow them out. I still keep a couple older plants like the XL I've had for years and a few other plants but let a few go after I made seeds. The last run of mountain jam x jack yielded some fine plants and I kept one but I didn't flower this cycle so can't show but I still have flower from the three so ill do a review on those soon. I will restart the thread with 12 seedlings from seeds I made at home. I have currently growing hightest/ss x nl2/chemdbx and oaxacan/pck x hm/bb.

20210929_144246.jpg
This is the hightest/ss x nl2/chemdbx. so far 2 plants have the leaf structure of the nl2/chem pollen donors so I'm happy to see that. I have 3 really fast growing and lanky plants which I have put next to the room fan to strengthen the stems a bit.

Below is the purple mexican x highland/bb mix. they are generally more stout and a couple have tighter node distance than the ht/nl2 mix. I have grown a couple of these and found a really nice plant I enjoyed smoking but let it go so I would be forced to explore more.

From the new seedlings I have 6 verified females. 4 HT/NlChem and 2 Mex mix. I took cuttings and transplanted the plants in bigger containers for a couple weeks before they head to flower. I will keep them small since I am hunting for something interesting and will cull them unless they are spectacular. In the mean time, I have some mixed crosses i made with Chimera's genetics and some verdant green lines. Some plants I have shown before. In this photo:
pure kush/bh x hm/bb
island purp/ss x hm/bb
haze/ss x congo/bh
white rhino x pre98 bubba
bc og x jack
medina x ss

Haze x Congo. I hope that's killer.
yeah she is fine smoke...I've had it about a year now. I will post a closeup when she nears harvest.

Below will be one of 4 plants I will be harvesting soon. this ipss/ hmbb cross really liked the soil this time around and put on weight even on her small frame. the plant also developed a more pronounced spiced berry scent than before with notes of clove and even cinnamon...really wild. I figured her out quickly and fed her heavy (top dressing only)up front and eased off half way through flower. unlike the xl plant which feeds light in early flower and halfway through she is ravenous till about 4 weeks before the chop. if I don't feed her when she first signals me I miss the boat and she won't produce. The ipss cross is a much easier plant in that respect. Here she is finishing strong at day 60 today.

She looks fantastic. It's hard to even see any of the HM in there. I'm just going to guess that something may come through in the smoke.

Yeah this looks nothing like I expected. I grew a few plants and only got 2 females. There was another plants that flowered past 11 weeks that was more representative of what i anticipated, greater node distance with less dense flower on a multi-branched plant, but it was just ok smoke for me. I suspect the pollen donor hmxbb plant leaned towards the bb side as the progeny all seem to have the blueberry taste to a certain extent and in this plant the island purp afghan heritage is hard to ignore. I have a pure kushxbh plant i used the same pollen on and that one is showing that equatorial type effect nicely...nice head with a mild touch of psychedelia in effect. This plant however still smokes super smooth and has a 60/40 hybrid effect leaning towards the mentally stimulating with a very good social aspect to it. The new spicy terps that have shown themselves in this run promises to expand on that...fingers crosssed. I used the same pollen on a fighting buddha plant but only got one female that was mostly bb in flavor with a heavy effect so i culled it. I have hundreds of seeds made so im confident the highland trait will show itself eventually.

BC Og x Jack day 30 flower.

Here is the bc og i kept from last run. Very fast development with more stretch than the other plant. Its relatively low odor compared to everything else i have flowering but once dried and cured takes on a very nice piney kush flavor with a touch of sweetness and very good potency making it worth growing. Oh and the resin production is very respectable.

XL, Pure/BH×HM/BB, Congo/Bh×Haze/SS about 6 weeks.

These 3 plants have about the same time in flower with the congo haze maybe 4 days less. I wanted to show the effects of transplant shock in development. All three plants were showing great vigor before the flip. I typically give the plants about 10 days in veg once I plant them in the bigger flower containers but this time I up potted the day of and stuck them in the flower room. The plants immediately slowed growth and stretch robbing me of precious flower development. I have grown these many times before and the XL for years so I'm very familiar with their nature. At week 6 the XL is flopping over and here she looks sub optimum. The pure cross develops beautiful cone shaped tops that are really dense and here development was retarded and the plant has more amber trichs than I would like at this point. The Congo haze cross may be the only plant that develops ok simply because she is a longer flowering plant and the extra time may yield better results but she hardly stretched and usually at this point I'm tying her down. Terps don't seem to have been affected however as the three are stinkers but quantity did suffer. I have gotten away with doing this in the past but my soil while composted for 60 days is still very rich and its taken a bit of time for them to adjust. Unfortunately the adjustment came during flower and it has cost me product. So boys and girls use my experience as a cautionary tale and remember to let the plants acclimate. Anyhow, happy growing.

So out of 12 seeds I grew out 11 female plants. 5 purple mex/hmbb, 6 hightest/ nlxchem. The lone male was from the mex mix. 2 ht/nlxchem plants were culled earlier for slow growth and another for producing pollen under stress. the fastest 6 plants were flowered at around 8 weeks in 1 gal pots to keep plants small while I'm selecting something to keep. The Hightest/NLchem plants were very vigorous and 4 were ready after 8 weeks to flower but only 2 made it (culled), and 2 of the purple mex/hmxbb cross. below are the 4 plants showing some initial displeasure with the rich soil but ultimately powering through and producing decent flower despite my skill.

ht/nl2Chemd #4,5
these were the only 2 from 1st batch to make it. Plant #5 on the right is by far the better plant in every respect. She has a sweet citrus and chemmy aroma with something else i can't quite figure out just yet...its loud. plant 5 also grew better, faster, and her stacked flower is covered in resin. Plant #4 is slated for the chop...its just mediocre.

Next up is the purple mexican / hmxbb cross and the mother plant purpled nicely and it seems her offspring are no different. Below are plants #1, 3. Both are a bit different from each other but smell fantastic. #3 had a sweet chocolate smell that stands out while the #1 has a fuel/ cedar thing going thats lovely. I've been going back and forth as to which one I like more but ill have to smoke to pick my fav. I would be happy with either one for sure. #3 has more of a paki/wld structure and aroma to to match.

these are the other 5 plants: 3 pm/hmxbb, 2 ht/nlxchem. these are at week 6 now and were 3 weeks behind the first batch. They are more developed because they vegged longer and a couple were cut back and grew quickly. These plants have had nothing but water since they have been in flower and my soil mix has been too strong for the ht/nlxchem plants in general. the Mexican mix has adapted quickly with only one showing nutrient burn and seems a bit off with the pH. My temps are very low at night dipping into 62°f night and only 76°f lights on...I run into this every winter grow. Anyhow, even with less than ideal conditions, they are packing on weight and getting nice and sticky.

left to right: #2, 5, 6. The 2 plant is the only mex mix plant that stayed green. it also branched much more than her sisters. Both 5,6 show wld heritage in structure and flower set. This seems to be the dominant pheno from these parents.
