You always have some healthy plants, all the hard work with the soil pays off.
Loving the shape of the tied down one and nice to see the comparison to the male growing traditionally. Are you just collecting pollen and brushing the female or is the male close enough to do his deed?

Thanks to the excellent advice that I've received from you (and others), and with God and mother nature's cooperation.....I'm confident that I'm going to harvest enough to get me through next year. I'm looking forward to having enough experience/success to eventually be able to help others the way you people have helped me. Of course if I fail....it's all your fault.

The first frost is usually the 3rd week of September. On a really good year we can go into October before a killing frost. But it's not so much the short season up here, it's the long daylight hrs. Hard to find strains that can trigger with about 16 hrs or so of light at beginning of August so they even have a chance before killing frost comes. You have about 13 hrs at the beginning of August at 23 lat.
Finding those strains is even harder when you like the Sativa's .
The Bangi Haze and Tikal I tried last yr. didn't even start to flower before they froze.
I have auto's and some Canadian breed semi auto or light sensitive strains this yr so should be a lot better, but most lean to the Indica side of things.
Always on the hunt for a pure Sativa that can trigger early, But it may be a pipe dream without some auto genes in the mix.

P.S. if you have something you think may have a chance up here, Keep track of your the length of daylight when it starts to flower.

the male is being used for a few things this time. reproduce the bomb and chemdog, kali mist, gg4, chocolope just a few things i'm thinking about.
hell yes it's been like 105 index here. you can grow year around for sure just need a good 12/12 strain or veg indoor and throw them out to bloom

so to my surprise today the male has started to spew pollen . female has no pistils yet so seems like a pre-mature thing to me.
i wonder if i should/could strip some branches off to be able to control the pollen into a bag from just a couple branches. any suggestions.

is the male in a much smaller pot than the female? maybe the roots have filled out the pot which can lead to earlier flowering. good looking plants bro. yes you could cut lots of branches and put them inside near a window into a short/wide vase so the flowers are hanging over a mirror, then scrape it up like yay and package for storage in the fridge

little pix show. cherry bomb female is stinking more than the gg4 i have in veg. and this is a surprise from all the reading i have seen about the glue. this girl is getting wide and a little on the tall side. need to get my bracing done in the near future for sure. she is much more impressive than in the pix's. i think she loves the mix i have her in
