Chem D day 60.

Glad the Chem D turned out nice for you Hummus Monk, strange thing is after taking cuttings and growing her again she's showing no signs of the yellowing leaves but the Sour Diesel has retained the trait really is a mystery.

Great plant my friend so i guess i go back to page one and watch the show as it seems iv missed a good one. That Chem D is the strongest iv ever been close to. Just a half and iz sleepin, i would not try it at night, maybe a walk in the woods would be cool, but thats me. I think for me different strains for different desire though, but most fr pain and the D takes it all away, awesome.

Killer pics too man, thanks!

Keysersoze, you have this trait on your sour diesel? Is it from seed or cut?You might consider a tmv infection if you have signs of the "ugly" on the sour or perhaps just a deficiency of some sort.Interesting...

The strain I had this problem with is the sd. Maybe it's not just me then, its part of the genetics. Funny I was thinking to try cal- mag for the problem too. It sucks to have suck nice nugs on plants that look like ass. Also, as I stated when its ran in soil the problem is way less. IDK?

Thats from flushing early or flushing period.that happens to most every plant when you stop the nutes and go to plain water in hydro. You said the plants looked healthy and green before you lowered the nutes, so the plants had no uglyness before you flushed? The Chem D cut we run has Ugly bult in from the start, No other plant or cut I;'ve ever seen has had this trait, your sour went ugly because you flushe, unless you have some veg pics to show the uglyness we're speaking of.

Does your sour look like this when in veg? This is what my chem d cut looks like in veg, it looks better with organic soil with loads of compost but it still looks like this but to a lesser degree. If your sour doesn't look like this leaf coloration in veg then we have a diff problem. This problem does not go away although the newer leaves after the 12/12 switch can be quite clean. Good luck!

Here's a lower bud from the same plant above. You can clearly see how much less ugly shows on the newer flowering growth...

Chem D trees.

Chem D trees.

I have 2 Chem D trees going at the moment. One in this isolation chamber with one 600WHPS in a cooltube. This is normally my Sour D closet. These trees have been receiving up to 3tsp cal-mag per gallon of mix and you can tell that the leaves, all the new growth since the start of 12/12, is pretty clean.I'll update the leaf variegations throughout the grow.My other D tree is roughly the same size but has a much different lighting layout.

Yes indeed, its the same old boring chem D but these pics can help people who are growing the same cut or some crosses by showing pics on certain days of the 70 day cycle so people can compare.I know when I first rec'd this cut I had a fairly hard time finding accurate photos that weren't from 3 inches away from the bud, there's no need to fear the uglyness!! This is day 34 of 12/12 and the closet has seen some chilly nights...

Merry Christmas, Chaco. You are one of the hardest workers I know and your grows continually prove that. Now smoke some hash and go to sleep, it's Christmas, you crazy bastard!

Chaco the leaves on the Chem D looked exactly like your photo it shows right through veg into flower the healthier it is the less it shows. The Sour Diesel is a cutting appently it didnt have symptoms to start but after the same scapel was used to take cuttings from the Chem D it passed the symptoms on to the Sour Diesel its passed on to a couple of other strains as well but only Chemdog descendants.

Thats strange, I have one razor I've used to make many, many cuts and no other plants have ever shown the trait.Other growers I know in my area have the same experience, only the chem D showing symptoms. Its a mystery to me, I'm led to believe that there's TMV somewhere in your garden as it spreads via razors, scissors and plants coming into contact with eachother.Does the ugly sour finish out alright or does it foul up?

My chem D cut has the same "uglyness" but it has never passed it on to other strains.

3 tsp. of calmag is crazy but she looks a lot darker and healthier then mine. Maybe you are on to something.

Hummus, the only time I've seen buds go like that was during a summer grow when it was hot AND the buds were too close to the lamp.I've also seen it under high temps when using smaller containers, it happened to one of my Mangos last summer.None of these seem to apply to your situation though, I'm going to go out on a limb and say something in your soil mix wasn't quite right...the plants looked great at around day 45 so the problem began in earnest very late into flower...Bet you still took down some dank ass buds!!:tiphat:

Wow your D's are looking great bro!! I finally got my mom of D to start cleaning up a bit with extremely high Cal-mag and High N feedings..... I am getting a round of cuts off her now and then finally I can flower out a table of these!! So excited to finally get this crazy lady into the bloom room!!! I hope I can get mine to turn out like your Chaco!! You are a Chem master!!

Will put some photos up of the mosaic leaves on couple of different strains they all finish fine just like the Chem D. The biggest mystery to me is why the Chem D isnt showing the trait at all this time.

First 3 photos are sour diesel hard to pick out the mosaic leaves as they look a lot healthier this time.
