I GET IT NOW!!!!! just got done smoking the second quality sample of chem4...this one was finished out and when the nug was broken apart a very pronounced lemony sweet sharp almost amonia dankness was in your face...doesnt taste remotely close to chem d...sat there w a nug shoved up my nose for about 3 minutes and it actually opened up my sense of smell, made it sharper, kinda stung a little..when i smelled a nug of chemd right after, my sense of smell was still sharpened by the 4...the taste was very nice, my attitude about this sample finished the last 110 degrees or so of my 180 on chem 4 haha...the high, well i cant really discern much...it was smoked on top of outdoor chem91, chem d, ogkush, sourdubble and an excellent sample of cush, but i can say this: at the point i ripped a big bowl of chem4 through the bong, it took my buzz another notch, which is very impressive considering it was literally last over about a two and a half hour session! very medicated rant over..
subrob, yes... it's not the most obvious pot smell to be falling in love with because it's pretty light compared to stuff like Chem D or Sour Diesel... But that lemony candy scent with that heady high is just the BALLS in my opinion. You can carry 10 pounds of it in a car, stored in turkey roaster bags, get a traffic ticket, and go on about your business without the cop ever smelling your stash. Try that with Chem D and you'll much more likely be in a different situation by the end of the day! Chem 4 is having your cake and eating it, too!

I still say Chem #4 is one of the most potent "grail" clones out there. I smoked a j yesterday and stayed stoned for several hours... spacey... nice. Chem D is right on par for the most part... but for some reason the Chem 4 does it for me better. I'll smoke either one, happily, any time. Chem 4 is a better smoke ride plant because it won't stink the countryside up like Chem D will.

Sub... ECSD is one of my all-time favorites, as well. I am flower some right now.
For overall taste, yield, bag appeal, grower appeal and potency... ECSD is really up there on all lists... But ECSD's potency is not quite up to par with the likes of the Chems IMO. Don't get me wrong... I will never complain about ECSD's potency, but when I want to be fried fantastic, I turn to a well-grown Chem 4. I really love me some Sour though! I haven't smoked ECSD in a long time... let the clone go by accident... didn't try too hard to get it back for a while... absence makes the heart grow fonder, etc. But I have it flowering now... about half way done... and on track for a MONSTER yield. Looking forward to it. cc
