more mountain temple testers , love the cola,s of the ssh behind these

~~~~~
who's flopped over in the pic on back right? massive colas.
So great to see all these wonderful plants in their full glory and pride.
The super late mountain temple F2~~ they are both gorgeous plants, one on the right seems to have a considerable amount of chunk going.
~~~totally get the gravel, but i have a certain disdain walking/working on it. Used to work greenhouses/tunnels as a young person, transplanting and pruning. Worst job for me was the petunias, just the smell of dead heading a whole GH of them got sickening after a spell.

thats the ssh female with the cola,s flopped over . she's a shorter girl i picked that budded faster then her sisters . we all know we want the funk without the long wait :) theres a full blown girl in her pushing 8 foot . actually stacking quiet fast . we are going to get to them all . sooner or later .

and yes i,m happy with the mountain temple . they are already putting out the funky smell . theres some really pretty ones . we will see all them at the end . as all the late testers will finish last . theres quiet a few in here tucked away .:)
some nice summer breeze f2 . i,m pumped . i,m making space here and there with odd ones heading to the racks . i feel like i,m getting some space back .

Those bay lotus are loving the new soil mix bb. Fucking ducks nuts mate

yeah seems to be doing the trick .( the soil ) i want to work on it with the soil guy though . i want like twisted pleasure said , hi brix. as you know its a lot harder to get soil here . its not ring a yard here comes your coots mix . which would be awesome . but i,m sure i,ll get there .

the soil tech couldn't understand why i,m after such quality for vegetables . considering the cost to add all the bio char and amendments is so expensive . but i,m getting him there :) he may think i,m fucking nuts but that ok , cause he,s right :)

love this thread!

these seed plants had a huge stretch!

thanks man , the dragons blood was the big surprise , over 8ft in 3 mths . it will be nice to go all uniform next season though . i,m thinking all black lime . the smoke test comes back trumps . that exactly whats happening . well in the gh .

B

BAKED_BEANZ

yes it all hinges on the smoke test , your right .

but its not going to come as any surprise that the black lime is potent . i was just looking at the bud nearly dried . very solid chunky . will be great bag appeal too . its certainly ticked every box right from the start . where other aficionado has not . not because the quality not there . its mold susceptible in my climate . i,d love to be growing there red hindu kush . its a gorgeous plant .

actually the red hindu kush and the in the pines aren't suitable for me . the long valley royal kush is though . so i have 2 out of 4 strains .

i,m not a tight arse when it comes to buying seeds , i,m in it for quality and aficionado has got it . theres no real pheno hunting . its all done for you . its as close to clones as you are going to get in the seed market , as far as i,m concerned .

i don,t get hung up on the price also , cause i turn 10 seeds into thousands . its good money spent in my eyes .

i think you could find 3 or 4 keepers out of one pack of aficionado and be going through several packs of someone else,s . i,m interested in how the f2 and f3 of some of these turn out . i don't think its going to be any surprise when its a great example of the parent plant . with minimal pheno,s .

i,m just growing out atleast 40 strains and they are ranking up the top ( not just one strain , all of them ) . so think that says all there is to say about aficionado . i don't even need to go into the amount of plants i see every year . i know quality and good breeding when i see it :)

its a dam shame i get mold in this climate , because the IN THE PINES from them is funky as also , they are 150 a pack .i don't base my opinion on price , i base it on quality . bodhi has great quality too some of the best . but theres a lot more variation there for sure , no real refinement . but quality none the less

aficionado aren't just supplying potency here , there strains are all definitely based around flavour too . smoke test will provide the rest of the details in few weeks .

^^^^ oh i was coming back to edit the post above . but i guess folks read it and liked it so i will leave it .

i was simply going to change it to .......
anyone who says aficionado seeds aren't worth the money . doesn't know there arse from there elbow . lol

best breeder seeds i,ve had hands down . the end .

ps , i just deseeded 15 different lots of f2 and crosses , black limes , in the pines , long valley royal kush , thousands of seeds . i went bananas on the aficionado gear . and there still 2 of the better black limes to go that have the lower branches done . :) i,ll put all the pic,s of the packs up when they cure in a week . atleast the same to de seed tom morning also . then i,m onto the next batch thats already hanging in a cage in the green house . seeded headbanger plant comes out tom too .
have some crazy whitdawg crosses , as there was no male . the white dawg was harvested few days ago , no mold .

pulling plants in the morning also , headbanger , in the pines, jungle spice , and truth serum death star pheno , i already have 2 pounds dry of that plant , no mold . i have hopes its fairly potent , all the truth serum are , but this girls def got more frost smaller tighter nuggets . i,m going to try some of her seeds i made , prob the crosses with the black lime and the fruity pebbles . think the buds go together well for a good cross . the fruity pebbles cross will be very interesting .

Awesome Baked...Quite the collection of yummies..I'm in awe. I'm digging seeing the Truth Serums too. Sensi Star was the second pack of "real" seeds I ever bought. Via seedbay..Right here baby. The first pack was Serious AK-47. I decided I HAD to have them after seeing a picture in High Times that a reader sent in of their four Sensi Star plants that they got 30 zips from indoors. Remember this is 2003. The plants were gorgeous. I spent the 60.00 and got a pack of 10 regular SS. Unfortunately I didn't make seeds and to this day I don't remember m/f ratio but I did grow 3 outdoors and they were potent.
Fast forward 10 yrs and a friend shares a nug of Morningstar with me. Sensi Star x El Nino..Been trying to duplicate that one ever since. I grew some of Cannarados Deathstar x Sour Dubb last summer, as you know, and they were potent and tasty.

air Movement

air Movement

guess you,ll have to wait and see , :) chunky

we don't like cages , its a different ball game here . if it needs a cage then , chances are its not for me . stem structure is a big factor here . cages stand out for helicopters (outdoors). i,m not going into my techquie i use . i already shared my planting seedling method :) but don't think i don't have it covered :)
i,ll just stake what i need to in the gh . cages were left of most as part of the test for how practical they are for outside .

i think i,m actually going to be going with a strain for the gh next year doesn't need cages either . keeping there size down too . not trying to grow the biggest thing i can . practical easy maintenance is what i need . won't know till i,m finished . there may be something super nice but needs a cage . we shall see

Awesome as always Beanz...I don't like using cages either. I do however use big natural wood stakes. What do you do for air movement in the greenhouse? I know you are concerned with reflection.I like to have a lot of air movement to improve stalk strength as early as they can take it.

i have the 2 big horizontal fans for air movement up high , the air actually pushes the whole length of the gh . i get a lot of wind through the sides as i,m on the peak of a hill . theres tonnes most days .

but when i revamp in winter i,m getting another 2 to put down low blowing through the plants or i may attach some industrial fans to circulate through the plants . i,m defiantly working on beefing it up air movement through the plants .

though i don't think thats the mold issue . its the strain and climate . also using a nice soil mix for extra plant health will definitely help . as i,ve said i,m basically limping through on this soil . i few beds are completely shot now . i can't fert anymore than i have either or i,ll add to the problem . just limping it home .

moving to a way better system next run , with the smart pots . i can use fresh soil each year then and will have my soil mix sussed out also . can we fast forward 6 mths so i can start again :) i,m ready to go

i,m going to sink some money into the gh , i,m sure it will pay off . time for a revamp . now i,ve had a play . i know what needs to change .

i,m working out what i can put the smart pots on . i don't want to use pallets . ( or should i ? ) is it good to have the air underneath or do the pots dry out too fast . i want to be able to move them out when i,m finished with them and put fresh soil in them . without having a mess in the gh . it will have a fine gravel floor in it by then . think thats the only problem i,m working out atm . i know one of you guys will have the solution for me .

and should i do 200 gal or 300 gal pots . i,m thinking 300 gal . but they won't fit on a pallet ( if i need to use them ). i,m not looking for huge plants . i,m going for 3/4 pounds younger robust plants . i,ll hold back on planting and go late . i,ll be ordering these soon ( the pots ) soon as the gh is empty

my smart pot options :

grassroots
smart pots
root pouches

i,ve never seen any of these in the flesh , they don't sell them here . so please give me your insight . whats the best . the root pouches will save me a shitload of money in freight . but i,m not too worried i want the best pot for the job .

ok de seeded today , drying in there takeaway containers . all the crosses weren't all made to use or go together . some were some weren't . but you don't really know till a plant finishes , who,s going to suit who . so they were made with that in mind . that some wouldn't be a match and some would go well . but you can't turn back time and i didn't want any chance of i should have done this or done that and didn't . so i made all sorts of crosses to decide later who,s a match :) if that makes sense .
how i decide is ( as i mentioned before ) i look at the female buds of both strains , then the structure and growth traits . then picture a marriage between them . what sort of outcome is likely . depending on how much the male brings off course . thats the short version anyway . theres a lot more i,m thinking about though .

in the pines f2
black lime f3
long valley royal kush f2
fruity pebbles f3
pink lotus f2
ancient og f2
apollo 13 f2
silver lotus f2

in the pine x apollo 13
in the pines x silver lotus
in the pines x choc trip

pink lotus x ancient og
pink lotus x silver lotus

silver lotus x ancient og
silver lotus x pink lotus

ancient og x silver lotus
ancient og x pink lotus

white dawg x ancient og
polaris x black lime

truth serum x choc trip
truth serum x locktite
truth serum x ancient og .

another round is drying no idea whats in there , about half way through i guess of the seeds . as soon as the dragons blood start popping up , i,m coming to an end lol. i,m in seed heaven right about now :)

ancient og , not great pic,s but i uploaded them now so may as well use them .

malawi , one i,m keen to see out of everything here :) she,s a big girl . i only made f2 of these . i did cross the malawi male with a few things though . like the romulan haze , real outdoor strain right there . the rumulan has is turning into a frost monster too .( love pisces genetics )

dank vader needs to hold on a week , hang in there buddy lol its a decent size plant too , prob go 3 units . minimal mold 2 spots chopped out . not bad . i,ve taken out a lot of the trouble makers that kept molding . so i,m hoping mold problems will start to slow down now .

only have one in here , had a few outdoors . they took a pounding though with mold . not one i,m likely to grow again . sad cause i think theres some nice pheno,s to be found in them .

enjoy your holiday :) not too much sun , if you do get to much , make sure you have beer with it :) keeps you hydrated
