Well what the hell else can come next? I just got back from the hospital two hours ago. I almost broke my freaking back today. I will be in bed for a week and require physical therapy after that. They are talking a recovery time of weeks.
But nothing is going to stop me. Nothing.

Bud! I will be fine as long as I can deal with the pain. It's too soon to tell. Right now I walk like a 90 year old and can't sit or walk without a brace on. I really did almost break my back. I couldn't move or feel my legs for a few seconds. It really scared the shit out of me.
While the bone didn't break, I pulled all the muscles out so that there is a strip across my back from side to side right at the kidneys and just below the rib cage where they're gone. I'm like jello; no strength left there.
Luckily I saw my massage guy who is the chi master and he worked on me for three hours last night. He may have saved me weeks of rehab. We'll see!

Ok, I almost go paraplegic, and know there is tons of unavoidable pain ahead of me. Am I bummed? No! AND THAT IS FREAKING ME OUT.
I just toughed it out through an hour and forty of Daimoku sitting upright in my brace in front of Gohonzon. I'm going to kick ass on this thing and use it to encourage everyone around me as much as I can. Yes, I've had a serious accident, but through this experience I can prove the power of the Gohonzon.

I am a Buddha eternally endowed with the three bodies and I can do anything. If I don't, I have no one to blame but me! I know the Devil of the Sixth Heaven is freaking out at how far I have come thanks to all of you. You all inspire me to be everything I can be. Thank you! Let's kick some ass! Fundamental Darkness is NEVER vanquished without a fight. Fight and win! Washoi!

Hello my Friends, Oh man T! Boy do i know the feeling! Take er easy brother, glad the Chi Master helped. Dude the first time i threw out my back, i was walking from my bedroom to my Kitchen and bent over and picked up a lil piece of paper in the living room, well by the time i was coming back through the living room i was crwling on all fours, i couldnt believe it! A piece of paper!
Sorry it took me a day to say get well soon and im with ya as im sure we all are sendin' all we got your way, but i started popping the breaker that runs my computer outlet, it was maddenig, i would reset it after having to restart my computer and POOF! it would go again, this went on and on untill i was just laughing like a lunatic. so im running temporary power with extension cords.
Any way sendin' Daimoku and love your way BIG HOMIE! Hang in there! im so glad you can post, that had me bummed that we may not see ya for awhile, but i knew that wouldnt keep you completely down.
Main thing though is your recovery!!! Take care of yourself first.

Finally saw the spine doctor today and started physical therapy. Now that he has looked at the xrays closer than they were in the ER, he can see compression of the disc and suspects ligamant damage.
Bud. Someone accidentally stuck their leg out behind me as I stepped backwards and I fell backwards with my oldest daughter riding piggy-back on my back. To protect her, not only did I not have my hands free, but I also leaned forward from the waist as I fell to keep her above the contact zone.
I went down quick and hard, hitting rather high on the buttocks sort of the top of my hips. But bending forward with her weight on my back, my spine kind of flexed and didn't break, but the soft tissue shit associated with that point got broken loose and sprained. The muscles have become much better, but it seems the pain had more to do with ligament damage than pulled muscles.
FYI I am in continuous pain, but you get used to it and they wouldn't script me anymore meds today anyway. I was shocked. But they started electric stimulation today and that along with my special herbal medicine (which tastes about as bad as drinking a BM), my chi dude, and all my daimoku and the gracious daimoku being sent my way--I am sure I am already ahead of the curve on this thing and will continue to be.
I already drive with the assist of wearing my brace so besides being very slow and faced with major decisions on how to proceed when presented with the challenge of bending to do anything not in the range of my arms from the shoulder, I am dealing with this and trying my best not to be a burden to anyone.
With so many kids there are already enough dependents in this household.
My prayers go out to all those who need them!
