Y'all won't believe this....but I still have a Mango in flower in the grow room...she's been flowering for....hmmmm.... :chin:....82 days now

The others have long been chopped, this one is taking her sweet time and I'm not happy with it. Three plants, three phenos...and dammit 90+ days is not what I bargained on! As you'll see from the pics the buds are nice and fat, and I've cut the light back to 10/14 to make the damn thing finish. Can you say sativa? LOL :D

She's been bent every which way because needless to say she was the biggest of the three, 6ft tall and she looks like an octopus. Don't know how she'll smoke, the trich production doesn't look up to par with the others I've chopped but she may start packing them on now that I'm forcing her to get on with things. Ornery bitch....I'm teaching her some manners :whip:

Here she is, plus a pic of a dried Mango bud right before going in the jar to cure

Nice plant Blue, time is all we have! Love those SaTiVa's, :joint:

Thanks Higlhander, nice is that gorgeous plant of yours in the pic of the month nominations. This bitch is ugly as sin :D As long as she smokes good I don't much care :D

Thanks for dropping by all, I'll soon be posting more bud pics of the dried plants, got one that's going in the jars this evening. That thing in my grow looks like she has a good 3 weeks to go, if she doesn't die from the heat first. So far we've been lucky here and its still fairly cool....but that's going to change very soon methinks

GD, I have 28° near the top buds (which are at just 10cm more or less from the lamp and only 30cm from the roof of the grow), outdoors its only 22°, indoors 22.5 - 23°, in June I get 36° temps under the HPS with cool tube and blower. In winter I run 25 - 27° in the grow, perfect

Thanks for the invite...I wish it was that easy

Hey blue nice thread. I love the pic of the LUI bud/leaf mutation. I'm looking forward to hearing what you think about the LUI too.

I just germed a pack each of the freebie sk#1 and durbanxsk from the cup in my backyard. those babies are tough. i accidentally used a watering can that had weed killer residue in it but today 5 of the 10 have poked through the soil. i love growing cannabis

Just popping back here to shed some light on the Puna Budder germ issues.

I just received a very nice reply from Adam, breeder for TH Seeds. I mainly shot him an email because of the immense difficulties I had with the germination and seedling vigor of this strain, below a quote from my email:

to your knowledge have you had problems with a particular batch of Puna Budder seeds? I've been told this strain is quite special, but if the germ problem is typical to all of them, that puts me off from buying another pack.

Adam provided me with the following reply:

It looks as if you may have got a batch of older seeds. The puna budder is over 10 years old and we only do two runs a year as it is more for personal stash than a commercial plant; the original hawaiian female is quite finicky with fertilizers ect. i beleive that you may have received a batch of seeds that could have slightly dried out resulting in the mutations that you experienced

I made very clear to Adam that I wasn't asking for my seeds to be replaced, just an answer to my question so I could buy another pack with some peace of mind. Adam offered to replace my seeds anyway. That in my book is more than good business, that's kindness. THSeeds stays right up there with the finest of breeders who care about their customers. Big props from me , y'all go ahead and purchase anything THSeeds has to offer, you won't be disappointed with the strains, and the customer care is top-knotch. Took him a while to answer but when he did he apologized, rightfully stating that he's a breeder, and computers aren't a major part of his world :D

hopefully no hermies Dr. D, I can deal with a Moose but I've decided hermies make me feel like someone peed in my cornflakes :D
First hermie I've seen since I've been growing....damn, now ain't that something? I guess either I've been buying the right strains from the right breeders, been giving my plants minimal conditions of stress, or a combination of both.

I had the grow so crammed with those Mangos I can't believe the Puna didn't pollinate all of them....she was chock FULL of seeds, right smack in the middle of the grow with the fan blasting....and out of the other plants I only found 1 seed in the LUI. Needless to say I'm gonna give the cab a good wipedown before firing up again in September

why thanks bartender, its always a pleasure to have you stop by.

The first Mango plant went in the jars on May 11 along with the LUI. I am a stickler for a perfect cure, and usually won't smoke them until at least two weeks have passed. yesterday, at day 9 in the jars I snuck a tiny little popcorn bud of the Mango and smoked her in the hammer to see what she'd do. They're still quite green, I could clearly feel that sort of hay taste that pot has when its still losing chlorophyll (I do a very slow dry also). It wasn't harsh at all, just kinda "green" tasting still. I took three hits and I must say its very promising, got myself a whopping buzz on from those three tokes. In about a month she'll be very good, in 3 months she'll be perfect. This evening I'm sneaking a taste of the LUI. The Mango plants were 3, and I had three phenos. I expect the effects and taste to vary quite a bit. The last Mango went down only 2 days ago at 92 days flower  The others took around 70 - 75 days or so.

Smoke Reports beginning in a couple of weeks, I want a full 1 month cure on them before I write up a report
