Hello Leeroy, immortal, Rolando, scientist, budgrinder and Big Toke (hubba hubba) :D

Time for an update! Plants are too big to move out of the grow now, except for the LUI and the Puna Moose. The Mangos are staying where they are . Pics taken as soon as the lights went off. I have no more vertical space, but thank the lord the plants have stopped stretching and are concentrating on the buds. Etimated done time was supposed to be at 420 (59 days) but I think they'll be running at least a week late. Pure nitro 1 week before putting them in flower WILL slow them down :D

40 days flower for all of the plants :joint:

Pics, pics, pics, oh JOY!

LUI...uh-huh

The Puna Moose has had her pistils changing colors already from very early on in flower. Though the plant isn't near done, she has about 65% of the pistils ranging from a shades of gold to burnt orange, huge calyxes, the buds are just now beginning to put on some weight

I love it when people start yelling for updates and then don't check the thread :biglaugh: stoners..................... :D

blue you think its rweally worth shelling out the money for some puna budder seeds?

Scientist, supposedly the quality of the finished product is top-knotch. But if you ask me now, in all honesty I'd have to say no, its not worth it, unless you are a big-time gambler. I shot THSeeds an email explaining the situation and asking if they had a run of bad seeds between January '03 and January '04. Until I get an answer I don't feel like I can reccomend them, no matter how good the weed is. A 1% germ/survival rate is not fun

I agree with HOG, the journey of were she was to where she is now is a testament to your green thumb Blue.

A 1% germ rate would suck though :/
In anyones books.

Moose budshots....44 days flower

but before that to my surprise I saw one of the Mango buds has a seed developing... same with the Puna  I thoroughly examined the Puna and she does not have any nanners, but thoroughly examining the Mangos is a different story  None of them are full blown hermie, and I didn't see nanners around...but the pollen must've come from somewhere , and my bet is one of them. Poor ladies have been stressed to no end trying to contain their height, I'm actually suprised none are full blown hermies. Now I have a Mango x Puna Budder seed :D...Mango Budder anyone? You can see the seed in the bottom pic

And on to the Moose:

hiya blue ,i can see the seed on the last pic ,but if u look just down from the top of the bud ,,,isnt that a male flower ?

Oh damn

hazy, yeah...just pulled her out and looked her over again. Found that nanner and a couple more....arghhhhhh! Now what? I've never had a hermie plant before....I guess whatever damage she had to do at this point has been done.

Important question: Do the seeds from a selfed plant in turn hermie when grown out? Because I'd be VERY interested in seeing if my Puna seeds will do better than TH Seeds Puna seeds

hermies?

hermies?

hiya again blue
the reason i noticed it was cause i just had 3 pine tar kush do it too me at 4 weeks flower,,,,in the bin they went apart from watever bud was on them (this will be bubblebagged)
i also had this happen on a caljax a few months ago and so far the seeds have all been females with no report of hermies or males,,,u never know u might have just accidently made a puna female (fingers crossed )

cya soon :joint: :canabis: :friends: :biglaugh:

oh btw ,,i have no light leaks at all ,my room is as black as pitch when lights off ,,just in case someone was gonna suggest i /we might have light leaks ,,,although i cant vouch for BV

Hazy, I found two dried up open male flowers on the plant, and removed the nanners with tweezers. I have 4 other females in there flowering, and aside from a seed on one of the Mangos the others seem to be seed-free. Would you advise me:

1. to leave the Puna in the grow so the seeds can mature (they're very green still as you can see)

2. take her out and put her by a window hoping the seeds will mature

3. Chop her and use her for bubble

Help me please! I don't know what's the best thing to do. Damn I'm pissed, I lavished so much love on this plant!

I had a possible light leak at the beginning of flower (first 10-12 days), which I promptly fixed as soon as I became aware of it. I wonder if she could have hermied because of her mutations? :chin:

Thanks for the help.

Choice #3...

Kill it and bubble bag it...

These seeds are no good for something nice and it gets worse...

Light stress can cause hermies...

I am very sorry to tell you this but you are going to have a lot of seed/undevloped seeds, which will give a woody taste to the pot..

I'm chalking it up to experience HOG, never even saw a hermie outside of pics until now, after almost 5 years growing its about time, huh?

I'm going to dry her and cure her normally, see how she smokes. If she's no good I'll save her for the bubble session with the rest of the trimmings.

Thanks for the support HOG

Morning Blue sorry to hear about the nanners, i had a plant hermie on me a few months ago, i let them finish, ended up with about 30 mature seeds from 3 plants, no underdeveloped seeds (those suck) and did not seem to affect the taste. That Puna better be damn good for all the trouble it is to grow. Just my 2 cents. peace, Bonzo.
