buddhism is as a Tom watts put it.. the religion of no religion.. it considers praying and worshipping and the such as superstition, it is a highly philosophical religion. not just stories and rules.

hiya Bro - to say that Buddhism considers praying and worshipping as superstition is not just inaccurate, it's completely wrong... in fact, I can't think of a single Buddhist tradition, institution, or temple which supports your claim

no where in anywhere in a buddhist text is there mention of worshipping "higher beings"

really? where did you get than info from?

I think it would be pretty difficult to find a traditional Buddhist text which doesn't mention, as you put it, "higher beings"... what are you basing these generalisations on?

there is no god in buddhism.

what do you mean by that?
God has a place in the traditional Buddhist cosmos, as do deva-s and devi-s of various kinds, as do hells, spirits ('peta'), and so on

in Buddhism, God is known as "Brahma" - the traditional Buddhist belief simply being that it is not Brahma(s) who has/have the last word on wisdom and liberation, it is Buddha(s)
