Cancel Culture

Well, Fox News just cancelled it's wildly popular Business Insider/Lou Dobbs show because for his support for trump and conspiracy theories.

Looks like Fox may be turning more towards the center, might be tempted to tune in and check this interesting situation out. :dunno:

Cannavore said earlier that Liberals were the new conservatives and I think he may be on to something 'cause 'something' is going on here! ;)
Thanks to the Anti-RINO movement on the right
Moderates flocked to the Democratic party for several years

Soon the patriot party will be left blowing in the wind and not electable nationally for decades

HR127 is an attempt to cancel the 2nd Amendment for low & middle income citizens.

It's possible they over-reached. I can't see the current Supreme Court allowing it to continue.

"Requires an $800 annual government insurance fee for all current and future gun owners, to be paid to the Attorney General EVERY YEAR." ?

That almost sounds like a scare tactic, something from Infowars.

I have a feeling that it was one of the things Biden was installed to oversee.

It’s a bad, bad bill. It has no sponsors, no support, not even “right”-wing paranoia will get it passed

"I have a feeling " is no proof
...not even circumstantial

Here's the article. https://www.wellandgood.com/cancel-culture-examples/

I'm saying, before Cancel Culture really ramped up, I quit using products (MONSANTO, yikes!), or refraining from going to certain establishments where (to me) there was social/economic/ religious right wing references or beliefs that I boycotted any association with Monsanto and others. Man, oh, man!

That's what I, as one person, is doing in this CC. I know they won't go bankrupt because of me, that's not my intention, but to pay for products (and I have to sometimes do research) like Monsanto, Cracker Barrel, and others...they just don't get my business.

I'm not asking anyone to join me. It would be interesting to have a discussion.... others of what of the FOUR areas are as pertaining to post or article.

What/why do they boycott or call out/call in?

In education, rarely yet happened a few times, I'd have to call out behaviors or mind sets in the classroom- we're talking adult learning as well as lovely 7th graders.

I engage with municipal, state, federal representatives to make our state better.

I prefer not to buy (I guess out of habit now vs. taking a stand) products that do harm or they unsaid practices that are offensive. Although inequality and police walk/protests were in our area, due to COVID, I didn't participate.

I guess ur cool with blowing up babies...
Otherwise U would be boycotting joe Biden’s administration right?
Or are you a grimy hypocrite?

So how do you feel about the practice of blowing up women and children with bombs?
You are pretty fucking complicit in that...
Or is mass murder morally acceptable to you?
The hypocrisy is strong with this one

It's CHOICE, and knowing where my products come from, and the harm caused.

Yes, Who we choose to associate ourselves with is a choice....
That was my point exactly.
I for one don’t voluntarily associate with mass murderers but to each their own

Still wonder why kids in the middle east aren't as valuable as those in central America, wonder if those pesky slave wages I've been hearing about are a factor in any way.

Too bad the founding fathers were not so perfect as every 'true american' wishes to believe.

The Founding Fathers, the framers of the Constitution, wanted to form a government that did not allow one person to have too much authority or control. While under the rule of the British king they learned that this could be a bad system.

The Founding Fathers did not originally intend for American politics to be partisan. In Federalist Papers No. 9 and No. 10, Alexander Hamilton and James Madison, respectively, wrote specifically about the dangers of domestic political factions. Much like what DJT is trying to do, a political faction is a group of individuals within a political party that share a common political purpose but differs in some respect to the rest of the entity. A faction or political party may include fragmented sub-factions, "parties within a party," which may be referred to as power blocs, or voting blocs.
