As long as there is wood and granite shards i'm making fire. On a mountain i have the luxury of choices for clean water so thats covered. If there's wood i can hunt aswell as make fire. Clothing will have to be moss tied with green string until i can skin my kills. That's food, water and heat covered. Only the most important thing left which is shelter from the elements and we have this covered thanks again to the tree's. Shoes for transport is tree bark stuffed with moss.....

I may not be super mobile but i'm surviving and have the tools to carry fire so i'm surviving.

Something I haven't seen mentioned that is almost as important as clothes is footwear.

You are talking about dropping a person with soft feet into that environment. Heck I bet they'd be more ****ed up and miserable, quicker, from bleeding, splinterered, and bruised feet than they would be from the no clothes part.

Tree bark covered with moss works well but you gotta watch the toes, they are the first to suffer the cold. Once you got a few kills under your belt you can work the skins to be waterproof but as we only got ourselves and our environ i'm using the granite to work some clogs up and using the moss for warmth.

He does express his racism through his avatar.
A good skinhead is a dead skinhead and i fight every single one i meet.
FUC K SKINHEADS

EDIT ironic but true, last fight with a skin started over smoking MJ in the street at night. These people don't support our agenda, and i sure as hell hope we don't support theirs. Having a skinhead organisation avatar and not being a supremacist doesn't mix, i think we can all see that.

I see, so to survive on the mountain side there could not be any skin heads there. I guess they might want to hunt others down for their hair to make string for their bows.

Their has always been a strong tie between skinheads and Meth it seems, also...Hitler was a Coke adict!

When I was younger, I used to want to believe that anyone who smoked Cannabis had to be at least a little good/cool, but that was very naive thinking on my part.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to ThirdEye again.

i believe i could survive since i've been getting lost in the woods since i was a child. after a while i would wonder off for days before ever finding my way home again. i grew up playing in the woods because there wasn't much else to do. didn't have a lot of money and there wasn't anything else around so when we were younger we made forts, played war, etc. in the woods every day. when i was a teenager i would wonder into the woods for days before returning. my parents didn't care either. they didn't worry like most parents do these days. most parents wont even let their little johnny cross the street without asking first. kids aren't able to be kids anymore. thats why most people wouldn't surive if they were just dropped off in the woods like i can. parents teach their kids to be ****ings stiffs these days who can't do anything on their own.

however... i don't think i could survive with no clothes. i'd atleast need the proper clothing plus a few small tools or otherwise i believe i would be fine. in fact, I KNOW i'd be okay. i always say 90% of survival is completely mental. most people don't have that mental capacity to surive. once they're lost they freak out and things go down hill from there.

funny thing is... get me lost in the woods and i thrive. get me lost in a huge city and i'll probably freak out.

Rule number 1 - Don't panic.

Well, since it's Aspen then your probably north of the equator so moss would probably grow on the North side of anything with moss on it. 2nd, Pine tree branches make pretty decent shelters. 3rd Shards of Granite would probably make a decent weapon like an arrow head. 4th lots of bugs & stuff live under tree bark so at least you've got some bugs to much on short term. Usually after big forest fires Aspens seem to be the only thing left so I'm thinking starting a fire with the pine would be the way to go. Find a couple of sticks and a couple of peices of flat wood. One peice of flat wood as a base, the other peice of flat wood to apply pressure to one of the stickes. Break up the other little stick into small peices. Gather some scrap peices of dried grass palnts materiesl etc and lay it on top of the base. Apply pressure downword on the wood on top of the stick with your chest and rub your hands together with the stick in between them to start your fire. Now that you've eaten a little bit and have a warm place, it's time to go looking for some clothing. Those areas of water should provide some mamals to use your granite and stick weapon on. You might try to fashion some flip flops out of some tree bark and some grass or fiberous plant material. If your lucky enough to kill a couple of mamals you can eat the meat, and use the fur to fashion some clothing. Drink only the water running in the small stream as it should be pretty good. Avoid standing water. Also more than likely that stream is running flowing south too, but not always.

Now you have food, water, and shelter at least. Most little creatures like rabits ...I'm thinking rabit fur, come out at night, so if your stick and granite arrow didn't do much good during the day, maybe you can use it at night when the little critters come out. You might even see some places where they have smashed down the grass or something where they normally travel. If possible you could use some weeds/grass/fiberous material to make something like a rope and fashion a noose across one of their trails. Remember to stay downwind as animals have really good sense of smell and you could freak them out if they smell you in the area. Try to find what they're eating and use it for bait, probably some of the scrub brush you see in the area. And remember they have to drink too so those water holes are for more than just your drinking.

Anyway, since it's getting dark and your tired it's best just to go get warm in your hooch with the fire going. Staking up some rocks in the fire and getting them warm and then moving the warm rocks under you will help keep you warmer than laying on the ground ...or maybe even a layer of rocks, then a layer of pine branches. You'll also want to have your hooch and your fire as close together as possible so you can take advantage of the heat.

You may not sleep all that well, but that works to your advantage a little bit. You'll be able to hear animals, and hopefully you'll hear some squealing when they get caught in your trap. You may even get a chance to kill something with your spear if it gets curious and comes around to check out your fire.

So you survived the night. If you caught some rabits etc in your traps then you need a hat first, then better footwear. And you need to travel South, and down. Once you find a stream you need to follow it to a larger stream or river. Then follow the river. Keeping in mind as you travel that you need to continue to do the same things you did the first night, every night. Add to your wardrobe, eat grubs and berries when you can find them, and meat when you can catch it.

To chek out berries get a berry and touch it to your lips first. Don't eat it unless you know what it is. If nothing happens in 15 minutes, take a very small bite and chew it only ...don't swallow it, and spit it out. If everything is cool (you haven't passed out, gotten a headache, crapped all over the place, etc. then go ahead and take a small bite, chew and swallow it. Same thing here, if you last 15 minutes, then you can probably eat those berries without having too much to worry about.

Always head south, always head downstream, and if you're unlucky enough you'll eventually run into civilization.

Oh, and if you see a bear back away from it slowly don't run. If it comes after you play dead. If it's a small enough bear, kill it, eat it and wear it. Also take some with you for later so you'll have something to eat.

Well did I miss anything? As long as you have food, water, and you can keep your core temperature up you can survive.

hey gg have you ever made a fire with a hand drill its not just that simple also you need to make a nest with your dried grass and put your ember in the nest once you get the ember going i mean you cant just throw the grass on top also bow drills are a hundred times easier matter of fact the only time i was able to bust a fire with a hand drill was with pine and it was a two person effort we would switch are hands back and forth on the drill it took over an hour

I would also like to point out that the hairy hippy has a distinct advantage over the skinhead seeing the hippy will experience less body heat loss thru the head.

Strange but true I started reading the first post or two and since I was just researching the history behind the use of the swastica symbol it struck me odd that someone would choose the same color scheme of the nazi flag behind what I assumed was rezdogs avy.

Amature historian? Seriously? Thats like dressing up like Hitler then grabbing a cane and telling everyone youre Charlie Chaplin.

Okay, I was watching this special on the national geographic channel the other night on skinheads in america. They had a segment on the group called the Keystone State Skinheads (http://www.kss88.com/main.html). They had these flags with black, white, red and a pitbull in the middle & I was like I know I've seen that before then I just opened this thread and there it was Smokin' Chopper 's avatar is their flag in the middle of PA state symbol.

If you go the website go to media section, click photos and there it is. Also the 88 in their web address stands for HH (Heil Hitler)

Check out dudes gallery and click the bubbler

Just thought you all might want to know what type of dude you are taking to.
