Can they confiscate my house?

Yeah, I know that one of the money, this happens also if you are leaving the union and travelling to other countries. But I can freely travell around the country with cash. they can only tax you (and the tax is pretty high) if you cant prove where you get your cash from. Or take it from you only if they have serious evidence that you got it from a criminal act. They cant just suspect that you stole it and take it from you.

Heres an example....I live in a house thats property of my parents. but I have an apartment in another city that was bought with some money my grandfather gave me (money that was earned in another country), so I cant prove that It was bought with clean money. But nobody gives a f*ck, I pay an annual tax for the appartment and nobody can take it from me.

If you can't prove that the home was being purchased with legal money they will file forfeiture papers.

Forfeiture laws don't require proof of legitimate gain in some cases. (Keep in mind this happened in SC.)

My coworker lost the family homestead. Been in the family for two generations, paid off decades ago. Apparently, dude transported enough to lose it anyway.

Yes this happens alot. The key like I said is to keep grow houses heavily morgaged. Law enforcement usually dosen't seize properties which have huge loans. After you get arrested alot of the times they freeze all your accounts and assets. If they take all your cash on hand and you have a heavily morgaged house your probabily better off fileing for bankruptcy.. Either way your not loosing anything. You should just assume that the grow house is going to get seized.. That way you plan for it in the begining and if it does get seized you only lose out on the down payment and the bills you were paying while you used the house..

You are correct. Some states only need to prove that the home was being used for illegal activities....

growing a couple of plants to support your own habit should make total sense to anybody with half a brain.the grower doesn't contribute to organized crime.the grower doesn't support the yo yo punks who sell on a street corner.and the grower who grows for himself, usually stay pretty low key, pays taxes and harms nobody.so FUCK OFF YOU COCKSUCKING PIG PIECES OF SHIT!!!! go catch some worthwhile criminals that sell crack, meth, and heroin.the huge wasted resources spent on busting harmless little grow ops could easily put a dent in the shit drug trade you fucking moron cops.or do you enjoy taking down a dude whacked out on p.c.p.i would say not.cortez says...fuck off leo. all your doing is creating costly court backlogs that enable rapists or pedophiles togo free because you had to ruin some poor innocent dudes life for growing a couple of plants to smoke for himself.

Yes they can and yes they will. Under Federal law any property used for a crime is subject to seizure, doesnt matter how it was paid for. Most state forfeiture laws follow the Federal guidlines.

Law enforcement views paid off property as jackpots and one reason for busting you is to steal your shit. Don't assume because its a small grow that they will have sympathy, they won't, the war on drugs is ALL ABOUT MONEY.

I've done a few small grows at my house, no more than 6 plants at a time. I've heard from people that if you get busted growing that they can potentionally take your house. I know that if you keep it small and following the rules of growing you shouldn't ever get busted, but theres always that possibility. My dad asked me if for some crazy chance cops did bust us would we loose the house and I told him no. But I'm not really sure if thats the truth. This is a house that has no mortgage and has been in my family for thirty years so the possibility that it can be confiscated is a very scary thought! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

if its paid off sure thats a bonus...

but most likely if its asmall amount they will have to prove the house was bought with drug money
