Can THC get into your system by handling buds?

My Brother hasn't smoked in 30 years, but loves to trim. He gets "Perma-Grin," no doubt about it.

There really doesn't seem to be a 100% total agreement on the answer, some do get high while trimming, some don't. I haven't smoked in weeks and when I did it was only a small hit. I'm gonna do a dollar store drug test tomorrow, I'll report here on the results.

personally just me mind ya if i was on probation you wouldnt find me anywhere around the plant untill i was off paper.

is your freedom worth it really worth it if so then by all means keep trucking along. just remember this if they violate you your gonna spend everyday of your sentance most likely. is your freedom really worth it!!

You can't get the tests at the dollar store (not that I've ever seen). They cost $1, but you order them from Amazon. Here let me nudge you a little closer: Click this to search amazon for THC test strips. You won't find a single one for $1; I order the 10-packs for $10. Trust me, you want more than one anyway.

But one little hit weeks ago you were probably clean within 72 hours.

Thank you for your concern Maj.P. I do realize there are risk in what I do and will accept the penalties if all goes wrong. I grew a few plants outdoors this year, I trim and store them at a friends house and also help him trim his harvest. I have 3 years of probation to do yet, with a year already behind me.As soon as I'm off paper I'm moving to a med state to be a caregiver.

Thanks for the link qupee, but they do indeed sell those drug test strips at the local Dollar Store, they are in the aisle with the pregnancy test, I have a fried who swears by them.Thank you also for your concern, i only smoke on rare occasions and only lightly then. I agree I should be clean from the hit a couple weeks ago, so the test I take tomorrow should determine if thc does in fact absorb into the system from handling buds. I'll post up the results.

I have seen someone piss dirty from just handling dried buds. He started wearing gloves after that and it never happened again.

Your skin is releasing sebum(your natural oil) throughout the day, I'm sure that allows some THC to be absorbed through your skin.

this is purely anecdotal but Ive noticed that even after many hours of hand trimming (without gloves) that I do not get any hand cramps but if I'm doing other similar hand tasks my hands cramp up fairly quickly like I said just my observation
