I'm with Gypsy on this one. For rare and unique unselected untested landraces you have to go there. Or luck into some 30+ year old seeds and crack them. Travelling is a great experience and you'll gather more information about what you seek.

If you really want to get a strain and you don't throw the towel, you will eventually get it.

But I am still looking for a giant pure Congolese landrace since 2003 hahahaha

It seems since some entrepreneurs visited the zone and spreaded hybrid seeds there among the local rastas now it is even harder to find.

Scavengers Daughter by Rare Dankness is a Cambodian Landrace x Neville’s Wreck. Long flower of 15+ weeks. I’ve got some as I too love the old Cambodian and Vietnamese varieties from my travels that I experienced. Good luck in your search.

This has sadly happened to most places..I seen some guy in Jamaica at some annual festival and they wer all raving about some outdoors sour diesel that had flooded the place...saying things like "things are getting better here now..and wer finally getting access to some real genetics and champion plants" the plants didnt even look like real sour diesel...it was really sad to see..and wen I asked them wat had happened to the true lambsbread or Jamaican blue mountain they wer baffled by wat I asked..

It is really worrying! It is happening everywhere! They replacing the real weed for cuchlocking modern Kush hybrids so fast they don't realize what the great loss. In some countries which it happened several decades ago as Mexico or Jamaica most people have never smoked the pure sativa they used to have there, and they are unawared about their old lost landrace as it happens in Mexico and Jamaica.

Ahortator, I have read that "red blood" Khmer thread many a time, Great read :)
I envy his result, and I desire those Gypsy Khmer Gold seeds, I rally hope some will still germinate.

Scavenger's daughter seems like a reasonable sativa hybrid, it has been on my list ever since i found it searching cambogda on **********. Same with arjans ultra haze nr1. Both plants have cambodian in the mix, but even better would of course be a pure cambodian ibl.

Ronni, Mekong has been impossible for me to find. Every where I have looked it is discontinued. Where have you seen it available?

I emailed Delta9 today. I was told they indeed have Mekong seeds in stock..
I was also told they are quite a pain to germinate and keep alive, though. They seem to be extremely dependent of the cambodian climate to which they have acclimatised.. I will still buy some seeds, I just need one seed to survive to completion and I would be happy. I will do what I can to keep this cultivar alive. I may have to cross it with something more indoors-friendly although I would also like to self it..

I haven't been to Cambodia, but I have been to its neighbor Vietnam from the mekong to the north...it was hot and ugly humid (typical se asian climate), so you should probably grow them seeds in the summer time and use serious wattage.

I think they will be old seeds. When they took them out, they germinated badly. Now after so many years worse yet. There are hardly any follow-ups of them anywhere.

What price do they have?

I also bet they are old as hell, thats why I was offered them as a freebie option if I bought one of their other strains. They don't want those seeds to be my only impression of their work, understandable. Otherwise, they are listed ontheir website as similarly priced to other strains.
Despite low succes rate I think they are worth a shot, as they are closer to pure landrace than other available options. Something to work with.

Well. I have ordered some seeds from khalifagenetics, excited to get those going. I will also ordet from gypsy and delta9 and hopefully those seeds will germinate. Khalifa seeds have good germination being quite new, but they also run the risk of not being 100 percent pure landrace. They are still handpicked in Cambodia and carry all the traits of Cambodian landrace, so I will be please with then, I'm sure. I will have to order a whole lot of seeds of Khmer Gold and Mekong Haze to ensure germination, but I cross my fingers. I will keep you updated on how the seeds work out. My plan is to grow out and keep some nice plants indoors while also working on making an auto or early hybrid that will finish outdoors in Scandinavia.
