Yeah I get that now & didn’t really understand his point of “after the fact” of his warning & not “before the fact” … Anyway the reason I’m upset with the Cambodian cross is because I spent at least a year growing them out selecting them outdoors taking clones and then bringing them back indoors only to be really let down with the potency…I wasted a lot of time and more importantly a lot of precious grow space (which cost me a lot of money)
hey fp ,
was that a hybrid with cambodian you were growing??
theres a lot to be said for selection with landraces , they are not all the ants pants ,
in fact you may have to sort through quite a lot to find something worthy to breed with ..

Not my cross I don’t want to mention any names but you would recognize where the Cambodian seed originated from & then whom subsequently made the cross… I was told that
out of 25 seeds only two actually sprouted ..they were very old and I think it was only one female I’m not 100% positive they might’ve been both females but it’s the end of the line No Pure Cambodian was made …and no selection was available to make them from anyway …

@Donald Mallard … my keeper from your Nev Haze x C5 Mango blew it out of the water …I’m not pimping you & don’t really know the kind of results that other growers have gotten , but i guess got fortunate & that cross you made has the best flavor and the best effects of just about any weed that I can think of currently ..and the yield is pretty good now that I know how to treat her and I’ve been growing her for a long time now

oh thats a shame ,
ideally one probably wants at least 100 to sort through and find the best from what ,
the more the merrier , its a fair bit of work to do and not that many are up for it.

the other you speak of has obviously had intensive selection applied to it for several generations ,
making it easier to find a winner , and im glad you found something you liked amongst it ..

(You have to open the video on YouTube ....)

@willydread you're open minded dude...
That was a while ago we have an issue because some Thai people came to Cambodia to instigate the Cambodian farmers to grow cannabis for them to buy so they will smuggled it back to Thailand through the jungle... But we took care of that long ago. In Cambodia every KHMERS can grow a couple of plant with no problem... Because it's an ancient tradition down here as long as you don't sell it to the tourists.

People wanted to see the KHMER KAGNCHA structure...in Cambodia for sure we don't claim to have more than one type... just KAGNCHA! Otherwise just KAGNCHA LEOV(LAOS CANNABIS)and so on... to define other strains from surrounding countries.

The Flower the steam the seed the plant is now completely legal in Thailand the plant has officially been removed from the Thailand's narcotics list.

Extracts cant be more than 0.02 % THC flowers dont have that restrictions.

The law about offensive smell was there before cannabis legalization.

People local or tourists can walk off the street and purchase flower in dispensaries.

A house hold can grow 6 plants and have up to 6 kg is what i hear,
Sounds and looks legal to me.
"OFFENSIVE SMELL" that's a good one!
so with the "SKUNK" it would be more than offensive for fluffing sure!!!!!

This quote from Gypsy first post of the thread...It was about 15 yrs ago...Good thread!:smokeit:

"The plants are a beautifull green colour with large skinny leaves typical of many tropical sativas.. The locals call it khmer gold, because of the golden shiny glitter effect of the resin on the buds when flowering."

In Thailand, the Public Health Act of 1992 does not define objectionable odor but generally states that any premises or activities generating malodor so as to be injurious to health or likely to be deleterious to health constitute a statutory nuisance [8].

Thailand will soon ease its rules on cannabis and allow people to grow the plant at home – but recreational use is still discouraged, and officials have warned that anyone who creates a smell by smoking it in public could be charged.
