How is that not what happened. Why did they ban online gambling then then relegalize it as soon as they dismantled the big players? It's kind like the EPA just giving waivers to certain polluting power plants while shutting their competitors down. How the EpA just arbitrairily changes the radionucliatide levels after Fukushima but they say it has nothing to do with Fukushima. How about McDonald's getting exempted from obamacare but the competitors aren't. Are you really that programmed that you don't believee that a few folks who make the Money and have been in power for hundreds of years wouldn't conspire to keep that position? I don't understand why people have such a hard time seeing the bigger picture.

I didn't say that's not what happened, I just balked at your claim of it being at the hands of murdering, drug dealing, gangsters. As I said, the world and the US is being run by the top 5% that own 90% of the wealth. They do what they do because even though they have more then they'll ever spend in a lifetime they still want more. Now one could possibly spin that they're murdering, drug dealing gangsters but this is not true. Personally I think we'd probably be better off if things were being run by murdering, drug dealing, gangsters.

if?

marketing works. besides the nice clothes and the (respectable) patina, we see here in the US the "mature" organization of crime. we call it congress. and it's power is the cartels wet dream.

Mexico ain't--:tiphat:

So, we're not Mexico. All I meant though is that at least with murdering, drug dealing, gangsters you know what you're dealing with and you can count on them to behave the way murdering, drug dealing, gangsters behave. Whereas with the people running things now (politician's and the top 5% that pull their strings) they'll tell you whatever you want to hear and then do whatever they please.

That's your opinion. Mine is that Congress is merely a bunch of puppet play toys for the rich and if you don't play their game they'll take all their toys and go home.

if every american could get a seed and plant it in their front yard..... just to show government who is really in charge. that would be the day.... do "americans" today posses the back bone to do something like that? its been said more than a few times already, our government needs a clean house. i have not a clue how that would transpire, but i do know that im all for taking back our streets, pitchfork in hand....

http://www.sacbee.com/2011/12/05/4100240/some-california-medical-marijuana.html

It's the twilight hour for medical marijuana dispensaries in Sacramento County.

Eight marijuana stores – from as many as 99 dispensaries that opened – are left. Dozens have closed in recent weeks amid fears of federal prosecution and aggressive actions by the county that include litigation and fines for building code violations.

The city of Sacramento has frozen permit applications for existing dispensaries, but has allowed most to stay. Sacramento County's crackdown in the unincorporated areas, by contrast, is having a dramatic effect on California's quickly shrinking medical marijuana industry.

The United Food and Commercials Workers Union, which launched a drive to unionize pot workers during the California dispensary boom, estimates 20 percent of marijuana stores statewide have gone out of business in less than a month.

Dan Rush, who directs the union's medical cannabis division, said letters from California's four U.S. attorneys threatening dispensary landlords with loss of their buildings put a chill on the trade.

"There is a high rate of people closing voluntarily," Rush said. "They didn't want to cause trouble for their landlords or they're closing to get a chance to figure out how to come back in compliance."

In San Diego, nearly two-thirds of some 220 dispensaries have shut down amid threatened federal property seizures and city lawsuits.

Three well-known San Francisco dispensaries closed after receiving warning letters from U.S. Attorney Melinda Haag. California's oldest dispensary, the Marin Alliance for Medical Marijuana, is fighting to stay in business and preparing to pull its cannabis products after a federal suit to seize the property. The dispensary offers other services, including magnetic massage therapy, physician evaluations and counseling.

"We need to move the marijuana very shortly. I don't want to get the landlord in any more trouble," said operator Lynette Shaw.

In Sacramento County, Chris Dean said he decided it was too risky to continue in the medical marijuana trade.

A former real estate agent and mortgage broker driven out by the market by the housing collapse, Dean opened the Paradise Wellness dispensary in Carmichael with two partners in May.

Yeah if anyone can copy and paste the article done by High Times Called "Obummer" this outlines what is going on and why ... They are as slimmy as they come and need to be stopped and if this doesn't show ppl that Obama is not who he said he was I don't know what does. Nice vta for bringing this to everyones attention now if the lawyers would just do the right thing here and take over all would be right with the world. Enough is enough with picking at the bones of the sick for the cash it's pathetic.. Headband 707

PS ..OH yeah the "DEATH PENILTY" are they serious??? about that 60 thousand plants and they will kill you LOL really where is that EXACTY?? That shit is priceless that in this day and age they can still say that with a striaght face!!! Sell some more Morphine and Herion to the masses... and then get back to me about cannabis...

Just like any well organized gang would do is to simply wait for the lanes to be set up the people to get hooked THEN you swoop in and take over.

I mean hell guys this is simply big business being big business. How many times have you gone to Wal-Mart to get let's say a bag of sunflower seeds or something like that. Your favoroite brand is lets say Mr. Wags Sunflower Goodness, You love these damn things and you have bought them for years and one day you go into Wally World and in the same place where you usually get your bag of Mr.Wags Sunflower Goodness has now been replaced my Wally's very own Family Values Brand.

Now guess what. They are the same damn seeds folks. What Wally does is when their computer system let's them know what brand is selling well in it's stores they will go to the supplier and say we are buying this factory or else we won't sell you sunflower seeds anymore and offer me a shit pot pile of money to sell it.

BUT

Me being Me I had a great benefit package set up for all of my employees to make sure they got rewarded for working hard. Wally on the other hand (once the purchase is complete) will lay everyone off and re hire (usually Temps) under a new benefit structure to save more for the bottom line and if I had a Union in place well that's gotta go to Wally don't like unions.

Now that the labor part is handled now we need to move on the the actual ingredients. Mr.Wags used all natural ingredients that costs and additional 12 cents a bag but made the flavor what it was. Wally say's fug the flavor 12 cents is 12 cents and as long as the sheep get seeds who cares because since we bought the maker where the hell else are they gonna go.

Now understand folks I'm simply stating facts and not trying to rag on Wally Mart but simply trying to explain the current business models that are being used to control the sheep.

So it's legal but if you sell it we will arrest you but Jesus is Illegal and he gets a check ever month and spends it in Mexico little Julie down the street makes more pumping out babys than actually working a job and even they are raised by her parents and lets not forget poor ole Steve the temp worker at the factory. He got hurt on one of the machines and the Doc asked him "well Steve it's gonna cost $50,000 to reattach all of your fingers but since you have no insurance your only gonna be able to get $8,000 of that so out of the 4 fingers you lost which 2 would you like me to put back on?"

Only In America
Mr.Wags

I would like to add a true Midwest story to this same scenario.

Midwest farmer raises turkeys and has been in farming for generations, small farmer getting by and keeping family tradition alive.

wally comes by and says we like your turkeys and your price of $X/turkey we would like to buy some turkeys. The farmer says great and the year goes just as planned turkeys are raised and the farmer is happy to sell wally some of his turkeys. Wally comes back next year and says I want to buy all your turkeys. The farmer is hesitant because he sells turkeys to many different people and he would have stop selling to them and he has done business with them for years. Wally tells the farmer," you know how many turkeys we buy every year and how much we can help your business grow it will be easy to keep the farm in the family". Farmer cuts his ties with all other buyers of his turkeys and sells just to wally.
One year later wally is his only customer and they come to him and say your turkeys cost too much we need you to sell them at 1/2X$. The farmer says I can’t do that my profit will be almost nothing but wally tells him go pound sand or sell for $1/2X. The farmer has no choice because all of his other buyers no longer exist and he sells for $1/2X and in a few years he’s out of business.

Was this just capitalism it seems to me people confuse legality issues with morality issues just because its legal doesn’t make it right especially because these guys write the laws.
Big business equals big crime to me this was a well thought out brilliantly executed plan that has been done over and over again to screw anyone in the way of the almighty .$01. That’s right I said 1 cent because there is reason for that.

There’s a ongoing joke where I work on how much money can one person need and answer is always “just a little more” and the sheep see it as just that “just a little more wont hurt right its not like he wants it all, why should I worry about 1 cent”. They keep taking small bites and telling you it s ok until you have nothing.

Well I heard a week or so ago on the news that a representative of Rhode Island I think is trying to get marijuana changed to a schedule II drug so that it can be used in the medical industry by states that want to do so without fear of the Federal government. It'll probably get shot down but this is the way things need to go if dispensaries want to stay in business.

Important information to understand as to why storefronts are being shutdown

Davidovich working for Sd-ASA sabotages efforts at Reasonable Zoning for Storefront Collectives

Is Don Duncans pot monoply behind SD-ASA VIOLENCE AND INTIMIDATION?

ASA and the Federal Connection – Goal ASA Pot Monopoly

When you break it down it’s not that hard to see why Don Duncan and Steph Sherer making deals with the Federal Government to enact a plan for federal distribution of medical marijuana.
Failure to achieve zoning for collectives is vital to understanding the next steps. This failure is a direct result of the “California Cartel” based out of Oakland, CA., a lobby group calling themselves “Americans For Safe Access”. This group allegedly started with organized crime money from Amsterdam, which founder Don Duncan brought with him to set up Berkely Patient Group and Harborside in Oakland, a city known for gangs and drugs, where $politicians$ were easily had. To dominate what they saw as a lucrative commercial pot market, first calling themselves the Berkley Patient Alliance, they lobbied to have themselves a “restrictive permit” which would forbid other collectives and eliminate competition. This worked and just those two stores bring in well over $70 million per year.
Don Duncan then moved to LA and set up several stores, one of which is LAPCG. Sources say this store brings in about $30,000 per day. Duncan was quickly able to secure a local politician in his back pocket and carve out a “restrictive permit” to keep other stores out of West Hollywood. Duncan also operated under CannBe Corporation and Harborside Management Associates with a new blueprint strategy and began his quest to get the federal government to allow him sole and his investors sole distribution rights.
Americans for Safe Access is a front lobby, not a social movement. They hold groups and operate like a cult, insisting that members never question, but only follow orders. Follow leaders around with signs, stand behind them, as the leaders go in the back room and make deals for themselves and their wealthy investors. ASA is not about medical marijuana. Not about medical patients. Not about ending arrests and prosecutions. ASA is about greed. ASA leaders and followers will do anything to secure their right to sell marijuana, including threaten murder, commit assault, set people up, conduct smear campaigns, disrupt meetings and threaten people in groups working on zoning or rights for all medical marijuana users. There are no limits. ASA is a front for organized crime, pure and simple. It is important for us all to watch Don Duncans stores to see if they are closed, as the government is threatening to do to the average citizen. These stores are Berkely Patient Group, Harborside, LAPCG, Mother Earth Cooperative – El Cajon,Desert Organic Solutions store in Palm Springs, Santa Barbara and Venice Beach. Combined these stores bring in an estimate $150 million per year. So why are you being told you are violating the law while the largest marijuana dealer in the state of California remains untouched?
ASA – Don Duncan has a blueprint which has worked successfully in numerous cities. This is a blueprint where he creates chaos, undermines all attempts at zoning, and then walks in and offers himself as the solution to the chaos he helped create in order to secure himself an exclusive liscence to sell marijuana in that city. This has been confirmed repeatedly and has spread to other states where they use $$$ mega money to lobby politicians looking at medical marijuana to reject allowing patients to grow for themselves and instead encourage governments to allow 4 stores for which they negotiate at least two of those stores for themselves securing their marijuana millions."

United we stand, divided we fall. Never rang so true.

The cannabis scene in california was divided on 19. We all know prop 19 was not perfect but it set the stage that californians were divided on the issue. What this does is open the door for division and those who are masters at manipulating and destroying those that are divided.

Same thing happens in neighborhoods across the US. Neighbors are not even neighbors. When something happens in your neighborhood, such as a fight, what happens? do your neighbors go and try to handle the situation themselves or do they call the police??? 99% will call the police instead of trying to exert themselves and attempt to remedy the situation themselves. Even with their own neighbors. So you can see the disconnection is far beyond just that of medical marijuana. Entire neighborhoods are divided because we really don't have the communication nor understanding that we are the protectors and in charge of our communities. Instead we choose to hire enforcers that use their own discretion at our policing communities half the time they don't even live in. So how can we expect this method is going to succeed in our favor?? it wont.

As long as communities out source their protection and authority to the "police" (no longer "to serve and protect" by the way -- its now "in partnership with community"-- which I believe is a nice way of saying we run your community and you have no say as the little guy)
we as the community will have no power. People need to learn to exert themselves, call community meetings, devise more ways to give more power to the individual and less reliance on police or big companies to provide security and food...

With so many people glued to the fear pushing television and the phara xanax tranquilizers that are everywhere I dont see change happening soon enough. It surely may be 2011 but feels like 1984...

Be the change you want to see in the world. You are stronger if you can stand up for what you believe in, in spite of all that stands in our way today...
