So my first one poked out of the coco today. It was a little confused because it had the tap root going up. So I gently dug it up and saw the root was about a quarter inch long. I flipped it over and left the seed end just flush with the coco.

it's funny when that happens ...i've had plants come up backwards before like that ...fuzzy white tap root sticking up

That seems to happen to me with these og kush seeds I've been trying to get going the only one that cracked was stuck in it's she'll lol but at first grew it's radical upward towards the light I luckily caught it in time and did as ichibod crane did and stuck the radical in the soil and left the seed side to grow towards the light before I had to get the shell off with a thumb tack and a finger nail hahaha seeds can be tedious to germ successfully sometimes especially that quantum kush

the scary part is when you have to help the shell off a growwing small fry
Ive cut the head of those stubborn seeds before trying to get the shell off. Sometimes they are almost impossible to get off without damaging the plant. Other times, not so bad. If I have alot of beans of that strain, Ill just pop a new bean if its being stubborn. If Its a one off, then Ill do whatever it takes, gently, to get the shell off.
Ive had an 8" white taproot with the catlydons(or whatever there called) grow downwards instead of upwards and had to dig it out and replant it.

i spary the shells w/water before i de-shell them (if needed) it helps with the birthing process

It looks like all 5 of my seeds are going to break out of the coco tomorrow. There are cracks in the coco surface on the 4 that did not pop up yesterday. The one that came up up side down yesterday still has not pushed up from the coco surface but has moved slightly. So I expect them all to be up tomorrow or the next day.
So since they all look like they are coming up I took them out of the humidity dome. Sorry I dont have pictures but my camera wont get that detailed.

How about this then? This is less than 3 days since I put them in cups and 3.75 days since I started soaking them.

With this past summer being so wet I was told by a local vegetable farmer here in the finger lakes of ny that with the pm this year, it had invaded his veggies on the average two weeks to a month earlier than it did in previous years. That really sux!!!

Yeah been here since I was knee high to a married grasshopper like the 70’s Star. Grew up in northern Jersey.
nice part of the state to be in Drum ! i like the finger lakes area , some nice camping spots out that way

Stars nearest neighbors are cows & cornfields lol , to far out in the woods for me
but nice if your an outdoor grower like he is .

but nice if your an outdoor grower like he is .All five are out of the seed shell. I had to clip the leaf tip on one to get it to spread out. Part of the shell was stuck and preventing it from opening fully.

Well Dansbuds garage is 1000 feet or so off the road. Wouldn’ ya call that close to cows and cornfields. lol!!! I also do outdoor grows been doin it for bout 30 years. Definitely 2 very different styles of growin.

i'm backed up against a nature preserve ..... turkeys & deer galore ! but no cows or cornfields lol
