What are these results for? Oil, wax, shatter, or whatever they are calling it now? It can't be for flowers.....
:ying:

I like that you got it tested for pesticides. How much do these tests cost? And if you had done a terpene profile, what would that have cost?

Sorry. I see it now. It's THCa @ very high levels, NOT THC, which is what I originally thought. I was thinking "Wow, that's good shatter".....
About THCa, from Wikipedia:

Tetrahydrocannabinolic acid (THCA, 2-COOH-THC), is a biosynthetic precursor of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the active component of Cannabis. THCA is found in variable quantities in fresh, undried cannabis, but is progressively decarboxylated to THC with drying, and especially under intense heating such as when cannabis is smoked.[5] While THCA does not have psychoactive effects in its own right, it does have antiinflammatory and neuroprotective effects. Despite the ready decarboxylation by drying or heating ex vivo, conversion of THCA to THC in vivo appears to be very limited, giving it only very slight efficacy as a prodrug for THC. Consequently it is believed to be important in less-psychoactive preparations of cannabis used for medical use, such as cannabis tea. It is also commonly used as a biomarker in drug testing along with THCV, to distinguish between prescribed synthetic Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol, such as Marinol, and cannabis plant material which may also be used by patients."

The anti-inflammatory effects are what interest me mostly. Sounds like good medicine.

Looks like some dank, smoked some banana kush when I was in CO for the cup that tasted amazing. Probably not your cut but was delicious none the less.

Hey Retro, the costs vary substantially depending on how long you've been a client and how often you are getting samples tested. Just potency for flowers is $40 for me (usually $80 I believe), then you can add terp profile, pest screening, and microbiological. Potency and RST for concentrates are around $100 for me (usually $180 I believe).

I will have potency and terp tests for the Chiquita flowers on Monday, as well as the GG4.

Man you west coasters sure are spoiled. Take a stroll on down to the local Weed-Mart... ;)

I'd love to know as well - more so about where the flowers end up. I may have to call in a favor to a west coast friend...

I'd be so beyond over joyed if this is what I came across in '06 labeled as something completely different in the mid-west... Been looking for so long...8 YEARS...wow.

Still stands out in my mind like it was yesterday...funny how cannabis does that.

People used to get mad at me...ask if I remember going to...or doing such and such - and I'd tell them, man...I wasn't with you then, must have been someone else. Then they'd say - yes, you were - remember, that's where we got ______ and we smoked ______ and then it'd all come back to me...OH YEAH!!! I REMEMBER NOW...we did this and that...

But sooooo many of my memories revolve around the herb found and enjoyed that it just naturally became the highlight of pretty much anything and everything. It's crazy to realize just HOW MUCH I really love this plant we all grow!

One smell .... one look at the flowers ... is all it would take to let me know if it was the same. It's that imprinted on my memory. That long search for "monkey paw" - which I've been convinced for years it really wasn't "monkey paw" I came across - but something being called what it wasn't, as so often happens.

Could it be....that my search is coming to an end!!!?!?!?! :respect:

what clubs are getting that banana wax?

Elemental in San Jose and Canna Cruz in Santa Cruz are stocked up as of yesterday. Kind Peoples (SC) and CHAI (SC) will be stocked on Monday. Flowers will be available exclusively at Canna Cruz starting Monday. Only one catch, you have to tell me how you like it :) I may decide to enter it into the next High Times Cup.

I'm not sure it is, but I'll take some dried pictures for you. It's getting trimmed as we speak so when I get it back I'll post one for you. I hope it is what you've been looking for, that would be a very cool ending to the story!

I may pick up a clone of banana kush from a guy in my area. Suppose to smell like bananas. He got it from cali so I hope it's the one you have.

Nose: Absurdly loud, fresh baked banana bread

sick dude!

it'd be nice to know which terps are responsible for the the banana smell and taste.

I've never had banana herb before... if it tasted like some laffy taffy or something like that is would be insane! especially if it were as potent as I would imagine 30% is!
