Butte County

"Hahn suggested it was possible for Butte County growers to have to follow Measure A requirements and obtain the appropriate permit from the state."

What a county. They legalize it, and the effect here is that on your own property you have to obtain a state license to grow not enough to smoke. Conservative values at their best.

Code enforcement and a sheriff at Lakeside market again now. They are sure busy lately.

They see the final days of September ending quickly and with it an end of their self-worth. Should be interesting to see what the county does with Code during the off-season....

yea they are pretty unknowledgeable, maybe someone needs to go there and let them know that no additional permits would be required under any new regulations because measure A is stricter than the proposed state limits!

They hit at least one grow near Railbridge in Palermo too. Its hard to imagine who was being bothered by a grow out in east Palermo. Not exactly a sought out destination.

I've been out in this area for awhile and rather enjoy it: only large parcels, lots of flat land, and for the most part zero fucks given. Runs hot for sure, but it's chill in mindset back here.....or it was chill, they hit the entire area. Interested to see how hard they will follow up....has there been any new info on pushing back the notice violation if you lawyer up and contest?

The great debate now of whether to chop, pay the violation if they come back as 2 to 3 more weeks would make a big difference, or try and push it back with legal counsel.

butte county has not abated one garden. The only gardens abated were deemed to be criminal operations. Do not cut your plants. Call charnel james retain her. They haven't even started abatement hearings and they will not abate any garden this season. There is no reason to cut your plants. The article states as much.

Highly skeptical of their figure for fines issued - almost like they're generating fake fines to match their expenditures. $1.14M in fines and an assumed $1M in expenditures. With only 7% of issued fines collected it seems something is grossly amiss. Cooking the books to sell Measure A as a victory to the public.

They have definitely been cooking the books. 11 inspection warrants? I know that's a lie

just talked to charnel

butte county has just pushed back the first set of hearings almost two weeks! they are delaying delaying delaying on their OWN hearings to get the fines collected.

also from date of abatement notice until the county can actually abate on their own is at least 40 days!!! and they havent even attempted to meet that 40 days in fact some of the hearings requested date back to may!

big CE presence in bangor/palermo this week with 29 properties visited and over a dozen citations issued.

same number as last month so they are claiming no new warrants have been issued. which sounds like new tactic in butte with simply putting letters and cards on gates. however the opposite in yuba county where they are starting to do inspection warrants. either way, EVEN AFTER AN INSPECTION WARRANT AND CITATION, 40 days until county forces abatement. and at this point in the OD season most strains will be done in a month. DONT CHOP SHIT!!!

I have a contact in eugene that's part of a pac with multiple lawyers and a lobbyist. He told me to wait until next year as the political landscape is still changing. Oregon will start accepting applications for licenses on January 4th, but that might get pushed back farther.

Possibly marching on the Capital to protest AB 266 & 243!!
Need a headcount of people willing to come down and join this.
Print Media & Television News coverage is certain...are you in?
Date and Time TBA. The 26th is what's being discussed, right before they revisit and possibly vote on the 27th. Carpool are already being organized in multiple counties. Come on down and help us out butte.

If you read the Oregon fine print, it requires 2 years of Oregon residency to apply for commercial licensure on January 4th.

Thanks for sharing prop, that's awesome news! They came through our area hard and basically threw up the notices on almost every gate even the few spots where there are no grow activities. Straight canvasing like they were at a fucking concert passing out flyers. I'll be around all next week if you're in the area man. Hope your other spot is working out for you and your GH's didn't get too beat up with the fires.

We have been getting flown hard in Yuba. Our whole hillside is about to get wrapped up I think. Neighbors who have been growing for a long time here are spooked and cutting early. The fine is $100 per plant per day which makes it too expensive to leave the garden up. We got a letter dated september 10 that we had until today to call to schedule an inspection. we chopped about 80 percent down. my buddies ranch just got rolled up yesterday. fuck me

I heard they're following up really hard out in Yuba, sorry to hear about your struggle OP. How assertive have they been on checking back up in your experience? This year has been a real kick in the balls around here. I hope you can at least finish off your 20% till the end.

Every lawyer told us we had zero chance of making it til harvest and they were right. From what i can tell they are on a mission and i took the letter real serious. Im under the impression that its a matter of days before they show up at the gate.

Something not right with their records. I have not seen much of anything for Forrest ranch. I have spoke with numerous different people up here that have been posted. They flew over again last night.

you're getting wrong information from your lawyer, if you are under 99 plants and dont have any felonious shit around like BHO, KEEP YOUR PLANTS!! they are not abating anything, and charnel can buy you 40 days from date of citation until they do anything and by then the year will be over. also was the letter from Yuba Sheriff or Code enforcement? if its sheriff, yes you need to contact them or they will execute an inspection warrant. if its code enforcement ignore it…thats basically what everyone at the YPC group learned yesterday.

where is your buddies ranch that got rolled up on?

they have traditionally been very very strict in the flatlands this year around linda, olivehurst, beale AFB, etc.
