Only if you're purposely trying to distract from the topic at hand......busted again.

Why are you so paranoid debating someone that often does not see things the way you do? What issue am I distracting from? If it is the questionable legality of an appointment of an ambassador, a single judgement like this does not happen in a vacuum. I believe it is about trends in a President’s judgement. Which I believe I have been discussing. You referenced an inaccurate historical event dealing with this same President in question and I corrected you, deal with it.

"They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety."
- Benjamin Franklin, Historical Review of Pennsylvania (1759)

I believe that because of 9/11 a majority of American voters were all too willing to allow this very thing to happen. Bush and most of congress were willing to oblige them for the votes. The voters/American people are to blame for the Patriot Act along with the architects like Bush.

Funny you would say that. How are the american people responsible when they have no choice who goes into office or what laws are written? I was referring to the Kerry election, btw. Our electronic voting system does not allow for a fair vote anymore. It's constitutionally illegal to count the votes behind closed doors with armed security, and to randomly toss people's votes out.

The truth of that matter is factions have been working to tear our country apart from the moment it was founded. The enemy is within, and the evidence is everywhere.

Defend the demons for their actions and blame it on the people. How noble.

What was that "....deny the pacifists for lack of patriotism...." Yeah, I know the score.

We are responsible because liberty entails constant vigilance. If the the powers to be in office our corrupt its is up to the people to revoke their right to govern over us. We hold the power, we just need to wield it. Whether our not our voting system is fair is a another huge politicized argument (not goin to argue with you on that point, it is definitely in need of reform).

I agree that liberty requires constant vigilance. That's why people like me are born. However, to say me or you are directly responsible doesn't work anymore. Not with over 6 billion people and the majority with their head up their ass. The actions of one or a hundred men are simply ignored. Not even written off, just completely ignored.

Until we reach a critical mass that is actually willing and able to make a stand, even give up everything they have at this point in this world for liberty it will never happen. The oppressors have full control of mind, body, and soul of 99% of the population through material means. Who's gonna give up their Escalade with 24's on it just to get some freedom? Who's gonna give up their match-stick half million dollar homes for freedom? Who's gonna give up shopping at the mall for freedom?

It's going to take at least 5% of the population (critical mass) to reach a point where liberty means more than life itself. Until then, I say the ignorant masses are responsible. Not me. I'll die today to give my children freedom tomorrow.

How bout you?

Consistent with everything else he does

Just look at the chimp now - he wants democrats to come meet with him about the war funding bill, but only on premade conditions that there will be no compromise on a withdrawl date - he wants absolutely none. Democrats want compromise.

That's the story of this fool's presidency - no compromise - my way or no way - he's an arrogant piece of shit with an ego that is too big for his minimal brain capacity

I don't blame Bush.....I blame them ALL. Congress can stop his actions at any time, but they don't. Aren't they suppose to keep him in check and aren't we suppose to keep them in all check? Doesn't happen.

I see it happen even in local government. A new law goes to public vote. The law is unanimously voted down and they pass it anyways. Public gets outraged, local government tells them too bad and that's it. It goes no further as everyone sings, "well, you can't fight city hall." No? then burn it down. Embrace the spirit of Bastille Day with the French. What safegaurds did Thomas Jefferson give in such a situation?

But, I digress, we're really nothing more then a modern form of serfs serving the nobility. The titles have changed, but the concept is the same - no matter the flag or alleged pieces of papers that claim otherwise.
Anything congress does bush doesn't like, he'll veto it. What else can congress do?

Dems are FOR SURE better than republicans, without a doubt.

Dems actually stand up for the constitution rather than rip it to shreds and piss on it like the republicans have done.
