I use a cake mixer/blender on high for 15 minutes straight to mix the trim and the ice chunks.

The min. needed for clear domes is the 220µ,160µ,120µ,73µ imho
After the hash is mostly dry yes I also use a grinder to powderize my bubble, to further aid the drying, and also makes futur smoking easier.

My chum with the biggest bubbleman bags(the dustbin ones) only uses Kali mist and he gets FMCD with a hand mixer-lowest setting for less than 15 minutes.... obviously with the smaller ones it would be even less mixing....

the new 90 bag is a great bag....for really pure shit I use both the 120 and the 90....though it is heavily dependent on the size of the trichomes, which bags you can skip, thats why I always rec doing a smaller run with every bag, that way you can get a better understanding of your trichomes
i think thats the whole difference. working with small bags maybe a wooden spoon is enough, although i would use a plastic or metal spoon as the wood will suck up the trichs and water lol.
the point is that a 20 gallon set of bags takes a hell of a lot of material to fill, in this situation a mixer at low speed works great. i think i would prefer the bubble now or later to do the mixing, but i get fmcd with my 73 too, despite mixing with a cake mixer on low for 12 minutes for the first run and on high for 15 minutes for the second time. also remember my trim is fresh frozen and requires a firmer mix then some brittle dry trim. i have experimented with an ultrasonic toothbrush with a plastic spoon attached and the bubble was good but not better then with the mixer. basically it maters not, each of us has his own way to do it and the important thing is that it works for them. the interesting thing is hearing how others achieve their best results

Gaius - 20 gallon bags. Sheesh. Yeah, a mixer would be necessary then for sure.
I tried the ultrasonic too, but the battery went TU, so I never finished it. I will after the new harvest, and a new toothbrush.
I'd also like to try an ultrasonic cleaner. It just seems like it would do a great job, but I've never read of someone doing it.

actually bubbleman was gonna send me a 90 bag for my 20 gallon 7 bag kit. but he must have forgotten about it. in a way i would like to try it, just out of interest. but really when i do everything just right my 73 is so good and tasty that i really wonder how the 90 could improve it? specially with my big trichomed WW. but when it comes to PP i think the 90 might make a world of difference?
funny you mention the toothbrush running out of juice, lol. the same thing happened to me when i tried it the first time lol. after only 3 minutes it gave up on me as i hadn't loaded it up before hand. but next time i tried it i did the whole mixing for the first run with the toothbrush with a plastic spoon wired to it. was an interesting experiment, but didn't make fmcd. the funny thing was that, the run where the toothbrush ran out of juice after 3 minutes was the first run which made full melt clear dome, even though i used the mixer to finish off the mixing for 10 more minutes.

Yeah, I get full melt using an electric mixer all the time. I usually set it on low or medium for the first run, then I crank it up for the next run to get everything else.

I am fairly new to IC, but definately not new to growing or bubblehash. I have made full melt bubble with several strains; however, the special strains which retain the valuable and precious terpenes are few and far between. I am personally partial to hand stirring my bubble, because i believe it limits the contaminants and plant matter from entering into the final product.
My favorite strain for making bubble is an old S.S.S.C. cutting i was gifted 10 years ago from my mentor before he passed away called M27 (a.k.a. beatrice choice.) Her lineage is Acapulco Gold male and a Afghani/South African female. The bubble she makes is exquisite to say the least and here are some shots of what her product looks like. I hope you enjoy!

oooh yeaaaaaaaaa...u got that shit right hilli...use the cleaner bags, then the 120 is super tasty(my fav next to 90), i usually dont get much 73 but a bunch of the 90 and 45....the 25 hardly ever turns as white as ive heared..its usually very dark for me but its very tasty(by far no where near my fav).
