I have been wanting bubblebags for a LONG time.. I tossed most of the trim I have been saving but there is always more to come.. plus the jars of little buds, I dont want to smoke stashed away.. The money that should of went to bubblebags, just went to the volcano vaper that is on the way I figure once I get it and play for awhile I will either really want bubble, or maybe see no need for it.. may kief.. but if I am going to vap in a volcano, and will just have the containments to dump out after the smoke session ??

Saying that making bubble is free of risk isn't exactly accurate. Many people use electric mixers or electric drills to ease the agitation process. Suspending an item of electrical equipment over a 5 gallon bucket full of water, while reasonably safe with proper precautions, cannot be deemed a method with no risk at all. I should point out that although I'm new to this site I have been making hash and oil for many years so I can hardly be considered a newbie. While I hate to disagree with BOG, for whom I have nothing but respect, I feel the 'pro' and 'con' list is a little oversimplistic. For example one of the disadvantages of the bags is that you need fully mature plants to get any appreciable yield. You can make ISO and BHO from leaf regardless of its maturity though of course quality is far higher with better raw material. For me the easiest system for pure ease is a tumbler. It can be set to run with no supervision and I honestly can't think of any way it's possible to come to harm using one. With the bags you have to stand over the bucket for long periods of mixing, this I'd call a considerable drawback (though admittedly the end result makes the effort worthwhile). It's possible to obtain full melt from a tumbler with minimal experience providing the right strain is used, which is of course also a limiting factor with the bags.

Master Hash, the old schoola, aloha again.
The water is a solvent argument is a red herring.
The oil can only come from chemical solvents is also mistaken.
I make oil (not full melt and we know the difference) from water.
Here's how ----
1. Separate Trichomes from cannabis by placing cannabis in distilled water and putting some ice in and placing whole container in freezer.
2. Stir every twenty minutes with utensil until semi frozen. Keep in freezer till semi-frozen.
3. Remove from freezer and continue to stir till ice is mostly gone.
4. Grab and Squeeze the cannabis over the container.
5. Strain through a regular kitchen strainer into a pot.
(note... at this point if you strain through a fine mesh (available online) and scrape remains from the mesh, you have bubble hash or Ice Hash, depending solely on the physical characteristics of the Trichome and the quantity of stalk matter or other cellulose)
6. If I'm in the mood for oil, I can use heat to my advantage.
7. Simply boil away the water on a medium low heat.
8. After the water is boiled off, guess what, you are left with an orangish, reddish, brownish goo of trichomes.
9. Collect the Goo Oil in a spoon and let dry a little further.
End Result, (and here I will insert a picture for all you non-believers as soon as I get my digicam back in a few days) a non-toxic, natural water extracted oil that works just fine and impresses all.
The trick is not missing the critical boil-off point and charring up your oil. Do not be high or you'll get stoned and you'll miss it. I did this once a was left with a charred pot and heavy weed wreak throughout the neighborhood.
So BOG, please update your book to include the boiling water method for oil.
Also, please let me know how your try at this goes.

As a book targetted specifically at newbies i'm hoping that your book will be suitably accurate BOG. Targetting newbies makes you an ambassador for our fine society. Let's start the knowledge clearly and accurately, not as a result of commercial force.

No commercial interests influence my opinions and the book is clearly my method and opinions of course. Yes a Ground fault plug should be used I guess and you could drown too. Less risky though.

Naaah, by all means link some of my threads if you feel people here would be interested but I'm not about to get into a dick showing contest over here where I'm a mere guest As I've said I have nothing but respect for BOG, after all I've been reading his posts over on OG for what seems like years as a lurker. I admit I don't agree with some of his statements on hash extraction systems and the safety of them but then I also disagree with some of my closest friends on some things.
I'm currently working on a couple of new toys you may be interested in though mate, a fancier (though sadly much more expensive) bubblehash system is first, then I'm making a variable speed mains powered tumbler with a steel mesh screen. Then I'm making a lovely 3 or 4 ton hydraulic press. I'll post them over on UKC when I finish them but god knows how long it'll take, like keeps getting in the way for some reason!

we use a 12volt trollin moter in a garbage can for agitating our mix.All i have is the 5 gallon bags now,so we mix a can full ,then transfer through the 5 gallon kit.Just leave the trichs in the bags untill there is a good amount to remove,at the bottom of the garbage can the trichs really start to add up
I found this the most efficient way to use the 5 G bags ,with large amounts anyway.
And the trollin motor does away with the chance of gettin electrocuted

Its funny how since i've been doing this water hash thing, that they're have been people promising to improve on the design. One of the first to do it publicly was jason king in his cannabis bible two. Still havent seen anything from jason, nor from the many many others than email me almost daily.I look foreward to anyone comingout with improvements on hash making technique's, but i say these people better be making something better, and not just getting a lower quality with more quantity.

It wasn't a monetary interest when you sent me the free bubblebags my friend and my book was written from my heart.
I recommend some of my friends stuff and some products in my book but I swear that I would never accept any recompense. My book has no sponsors and my recommendations are pretty safe actually.
My basic methods have been used by myself and others for many years and are tried and true. Much care was taken to indicate when something was my opinion or a fact and of course everything is my take on things. After all it is my book and I did write the book. None of the material is anyone elses and it provides information on my strains as well.
Some will call that advertising my strains but so what? My book is about my method and myself. My methods can hardly be debated as they aren't rocket science but I descrive what BOG is as a method like SOG or Scrog. The facts are correct but some errors could probably still be found. I have never read a book that I agreed with every fact and this book isn't really that long.
A person could read it in about an hour but it is very readable because the pages are ultra white, the print is large and the spacing is double. Us old folks will like it and the young uns will find it easy to understand. The book isnt a bible of cannabis but a guide to how I grow. Mrs. BOG says she can understand the meaning of every paragraph and that was her standard.
Bubbleman, I have an autographed copy of the very first editions to give you in return for your friendship. It has nothing to do with anything I owe you. What I wrote about your bags is very true and your bags are the best on this planet. I don't care who else that pisses off because I have a friend with a good product. Soon you will be able to say the same.
I always admired the way you took on this business because you found your niche and went with it. Hopefully my little contribution will be all the better given the info provided about your bubblebags. That is my hope. Other than that I know that we will always be fast friends because I love you man! That doesnt change with me once it happens. BOG
