Oh and water is a solvent of course but a safe one. I do not prefer bubblehash with BHO oil added because while increased in potency the smoke is harsher.

while hexane is dangerious ..but no heat is used...so no way of fire...as long as u do it outside there is really no contamination since it is a no residue solvent.. u also dont have to make a BHO extractor since the butane is gone when u spray the hexane into the jar.....and while u say there is no cons to bubblebags..the price is 1...gettin them is 2... i have a 12X12 kiff box also... it works very well but it takes a bit to shake that thang...but i have not tryed bubble bags...and are not doubting there abillity...i will try them someday....

We are made of water so even though water is the most common solvent it is also about the weakest. How should Bubbleman have said it if not chemical solvents vs. water. What is the argument here.

I Make BHO oil and it is lovely but perhaps not as good for your health as bubblehash but I could be mistaken. Just my opinion. BlueMoonRocks oil sounds nice. BOG

I have smoked his super melty bubblehash and his oil added hash oil and believe me he doesn't need to add oil to his bubblehash to make it Jelly. Never doubt Soma's word. BOG

As far as the cost of Bubble Bags, they are now made of Gore-tex if I remember? You can get different grades of hash, and above all all u need is ice and water. There are no efforts to construct a tube of whatever to get extractions. C'mon guys WE GROW WEED and where I live weed is worth its weight in gold (literally) and even for those who dont grow to sell, give some to a friend in exchange for an order off bb.com :wink:

well said bogmanddude, but just strive for purity in all solvents used, as water may not be too pure either. i sometimes wonder, but not much, what residue from mediocre quality city water, or high ppm well water will put in your hash. probly fuck all....<>

actually i dont think water is a solvent, is just as medium for extraction, the crystals are knocked off by ice and agitation. but it still is in the mix. so its used in the same proximity as a solvent to the medium, allowing equal contamination of possible constituents.

same with butane. but after well treating it i would say not very little, but virtually none. i hate the taste of oil with butane in it still.
the bottom line is, everybody can make nice hash with bubblebags, with a little practice, but unless you leave you honey oil for at least 2 or 3 days in a warm environment, it takes much more practice to make clean oil, devoid of solvent residue. much more practice for excellent results.

Dry sift - difficulty of process? ...lol.......I'd have to say that making flat screen dry sift is the fastest, easiest and safest hash making method available
the beauty of dry sifting is I would be loading up my pipe and smoking a bowl of kif about 3 or 4 minutes after I decided to make it .....and it gives a superior taste and high to all other hash methods ( the down side is hash from kiffing contains more contaminants and is less efficient because it leaves behind more trichomes than other methods.
no cons for Bubblebags.....lol...what about initial cost in the hundreds of dollars?, the long involved process of making it is not entirely idiot proof and keep in mind that water and electricity can be a dangerous combination! The process takes hours and the hash is not smokable for a few days!....and pros - it's the most pure product, but lacks taste/flavor

I feel comfortable with the opinions I gave because nobody will get hurt with bubblebags and the cost is really less than other methods. After water is free and the bags last practically forever. Other methods require the purchase of solvent every time except dry and I like dry seived hash as it has little potential for causing injury either. The other methods are fine too but I am not going to recommend it because I am teaching mainly newbies in my book anyways. BOG
