So I just jarred it on friday afternoon. Smoked some this morning, WOW. The flavor, even thus uncured, is far stronger than anything I've grown.
I'll give a quick little smoke report ( no ratings yet...too early for that ):
Appearance
- Dark green/purplish with above average trich coverage...but not necessarily the most resinous bud in the world. Nicely formed calyxes and nice contrasting colors.
Smell
- This is an interesting one. So many complex smells it's hard to nail it to just one. Diesel, Earth, Kush, Mint, Hint of spice, Dankness. The smell is very apparent when the jar is opened and pretty much fills the room. I was commenting to my brother about how I could tape a nug to my upper lip and smell this shit all day lol.
Consistency
- Very sticky bud, almost feels moist even though completely dry. Hard to handle as it seems to frustratingly stick to every thing that touches it. It is quite dense, but easily cherries up under a lighter and snaps extremely smooth. Very good expansion, but not overwhelming.
Taste
- Wow. Immediate taste overflow upon exhale. As my friends said "It feels like it coats your mouth with its taste and leaves it there". Tastes pretty much like it smells.
High
- I let her go a little long, so the high is VERY mellow and relaxing. It almost instantly hits you behind your eyes so you can't help but look extremely blazed. Your face kinda nunbs up a bit and the taste seems to morph with the high. It still has some trippy qualities to it despite being a little couchlocky. It has that classic "kushy" feeling high...that one where the back of your eyes feel very relaxed.

Also, I'm kinda sad...This bubba pretty much blows my OGS1 outta the water to the point where I don't think I'm going to run the S1 anymore and make more space for this Bubba. I've had the real OG a lot and I know it can be better than the Bubba...Makes me wonder what I could do with the real OG cut

These pics are from my Bubba Kush clone, picked up from a medical club in S.F. (New Remedies on Mission St.). It's at day 40 of 12/12.
Grown in a one-gallon pot with Fox Farm soil, sharing 150 watts of CFL light in a very small cabinet. I applied very light amounts of Fox Farm Peace of Mind dry fertilizer at day 15, and day 30.
I tied the plant down about a week ago, because it was getting taller than my other plants, and I wanted to even things out.
Trying to keep things simple, and it seems to be working. I'm coming to believe that over-fertilizing is the #1 problem that we all deal with, so instead of worrying about pH and Magnesium and EC and deficiencies, etc., I'm just putting my plants into high quality soil and then lightly fertilizing twice during the grow cycle. Seems to be working...
Any advice on how long this plant should run?

ya 70 days seems to be the sweeeeet spot for the bubba.....cant really agree with the light feeding though, my bubba S1 gets feed every week and i have had no problems with her at all.......
