I thought this thread was about Bubba Kush?? Seems like we got way off base with so many other kushes. But then again they are so differnt from one another its hard to say one without getting confused. Bubba bubba bubba

I was under the impression that Bubba Kush was Hindu Kush X Bubblegum... or has some actual kush in it at the very least. Damn good herb either way.
I remember reading that the OG Kush is actually some relative of the Sour D, can't seem to find it now.
How do the mint and purple specimens stand up to the original Bubba Kush?

Looking real good. I got some OG about 5 weeks in. They smell wonderfully lemony but small popcorn buds. Lower than the yeild on your bubba. Best of luck bringing her in.

I don't think you can say for sure that "None of them are actual Kush". No one knows for sure. Most beleive OG kush and Sour diesel come from a strain called "Dawg"...except diesel is crossed with some strains like Mass super skunk and NLxShiva. However, you are correct in stating that the guy simply named them after Kush cuz they reminded him of actual Kush.

IMHO so cal kushes ARE related to kush plants from the kush region. I've smoked quite a bit of Hindu and Master Kush and there are DEFINITE similarities that simply can't be overlooked.
agreed OG...I love a good heated kush debate but it's been played out and archived LOL many a time. I'm inclined to believe chemdog's and joe-b's version of the story but anything's possible. Now if we could only hear from the guy in Reno or wherever it was that renamed it... (again don't quote me on this) Bubba Kush is OGxBubblegum???

some people like coke more than pepsi i prefer pepsi. people have there own taste buds. but its all good so who really cares.
i think thats the best part. Im finding my self not to be much of a fan of the Bubba kush.... Taste like Lemon pie~ Its good to mix with other weeds. but by its self. it gives you this clear headed type of high.... Then a few hours later you get pretty tired.. Now i smoke about a 1/8 a day. so im no light smoker... and thats being nice to myself... could smoke a quarter.

I could see OG kush X bubblegum ....the only problem I have with OG and Bubba being related is that my OG stretched ridiculously and my Bubba stayed perfectly short and squat. Other than that they are very similar IMO.

scf, u are smoking the purple bubba kush pheno. its quite evident in the pic from my growing experiences. the purple finishes around 8 weeks and gets those little tiny white hair clusters popping out the tops. pretty frosty, purple tinges all around.
the green pheno of bubba is phoenoemenal. if u have ever seen ograskal's pics his is the green pheno. frostier than the purple pheno with more pointed buds rather than the club headed purple (north valley s1 i was told) and the green has a lower yield.
Ogstradamus.....if/when u get to try the green pheno, ur opinion on bubba will change drastically. the purple pheno is only good after a good 6 month cure, IMO. later folks

for me dudes, the og and bubba i smiked was only during night ours. i found to smoke 2 bolws and i was falling asleep on my chair. litterally falling asleep! Pretty strong weed for me and verry body inclining w/ a good head high too!

And here's an update peepz.
I'm guessing this is around day 60-63...I don't really keep track anymore. Just chop 'em when they look right. I'm gunna give these babies maybe a week to ten days more to let em reeally ripen up.
