Bubba Kush nugs...70 days...

bubba has some seriously light-blocking fan leaves. nevertheless, the hidden nugs, deep under the canopy of my 3-6 ft plants (yep, 6ft indoor bubbas), always end up frosty and potent, but more green than the purp upper buds.

so while the light doesn't reach all the way down, bubba seems to distribute the results of photosynthesis at the top effectively to the lower nugs. I ain't complaining.

I can attest to that as well.
My Bubba lower buds are just as dank .
They are just usually more green and not as dense.
BUt still real nice considering the amount of light that gets blocked by those upper fans.
It's all because of where it orginated from.
Must of been real hot and dry. Would be my guess.
Top fan leafs shade the rest of the plant from too much light.
And big fat leaves to collect as much moisture as possible when it is available.
Kush mountians are a bitch.lol
It can get cold up there too.
My buddy grows his OG Kush all year round out here in the desert.
I think this year that frost ruined a few months.
BUt the rest of the year he grows the same original OG Kush I have outdoors.

Very nice pics of the Bubba, man i cant believe you let yours go 80 days, i chop mine at 56 days, but it does have a big window to chop at. i love organics, it really brings the flavor out on the Bubba

It was a big bush you know.
I was going off of what the plant was telling me to do.
And it said wait a whiloe.
I think a few days earlyier would have been the perfecttime.
I waited a tad too long. BUt it's cool, it's still killer Bubba. IMO

Depends on which one you have.
Mine is usually a 70 day plant.
But it was a bush which in my opinion take a little longer to finish all the way to the bottom .

I here some Bubba S1's can be pretty good.
I've also heard of them finishing faster.

I don't have an S1, i got one of the 3, i don't know what it is, but its not the mint, mines strong coffee smelling and verry tasty. just look at the pic

This plant went 60 days, and the trichs were full and cloudy. your right tho, on the plant tellin you when it should come down

almost all bubbas, S1s or 'originals' will look mostly done by about 55 (pistil wise).. and alot of mersh Bubba is taken before 60, regardless of which cut.. Leaving it till 70+ is to let the trichomes mature more, as Bubba takes a long time to amber up..

After 60 days Bubba doesn't put on much at all for weight, so it's a waste of time commercialy, as you'd be better off 15 days into your next crop..

growkind, i would experiment with taking her longer next time, you may find the high improves alot.

It sounds like the same one I got.Which I guess is the same as the Katsu or the 2001 or 98 or whatever.But...
...Mine looks done at around 56 days with the naked eye.

just a reminder that soil vs hydro makes a big diff in harvest timing. i cut at 53-57, but i have 10% amber trichs at that point, in hydro with CO2. When i go outdoors with bubba, i wait and wait and wait...at least 70 till i see amber.

interesting THCV, a friend just got thru with some dwc Bubba at it took at least 65 days to amber up.. 53-57 is hella fast for amber, I wonder when my DWCs will amber..

the friend that jus ran Bubba did so with a dif cut than I run, but i'm pretty sure it's the same as yers..

i know temps and light intensity can make a difference aswell.. and there's nothing wrong with getting her to finish faster, jus unusual to hear..
