Hey all!
Here with an update! Weather is starting to change fast around here, and due to that and the harvest season paranoia I've become so familiar with, I've started taking most of my plants early. Today is all about my WOS Afghan Kush! I absolutely love this plant! Has some really good resistance to spidermites and botrytis, builds nice, thick, and heavy buds, and smells like fruit loops! Haha I took these two down last week, and they could have easily went for another two. I would put their flowering time at around 9-10 weeks, and that seems well worth it for the quality that I am seeing in this plant! I think she will definitely become a mainstay around here, but the ultimate test will be the smoke after a good cure! Here's to hoping she is a winner! Although, with the trichome production that I see already, I am inclined to think that she most certainly will be! Here are some pics of the harvest! Enjoy
Starting off the morning by trimming the tops of this beauty! She is one of the Heavy Berry or Restoration, but got mislabeled during planting. Either way, she looks great (early, but I digress) and has put on some nice nuggets! Also, a friend of mine made this painting for my room and my mainstay, Hermit's Threshold! It's pretty funny, and it takes some of the hospital-feel out of the rooms. Back to it!
This year has been great, except for this last week and the one coming up for weather, hence my early harvests. I'll have a few go the whole way, but these ones gotta go now if I intend on being able to trim it all haha. Last tops for the day, Heavy Berry #5
It must be the year of fruit haha. As all the plants were fed the same, Happy Frog and Humboldt Big Up, they all have a similar fruit/pineapple tinge. Some have different accents though. For instance, Afghan Kush smelled almost just like Froot Loops cereal. Hermit's Threshold smells a little more citrus and skunk. Heavy Berry is that pineapple/fruit smell, with something else that I can't quite decipher. It almost sticks to your nostrils and sinuses. Maybe menthol-ish? Restoration is more citrus/lime, but still has a majority of the common fruity smell that I'm getting on everything. *Here's today's haul of tops. The big top is Heavy Berry #5, the first rack is either Restoration or Heavy Berry (pretty sure it is one of my Restorations), Second rack is Restoration #2, Third is Heavy Berry #5
