After having some personnal trouble, i'm ok now...

All the Mangas are turned hermie so nothing to say about them...
I smoke one because it shows male flowers only at the end and the taste was not so good but I think i will re-make it if I can...:tiphat:

I know somebody who grew the manga rosa, he didn't say anything about herms, that sucks that yours did Rasta. I've been wondering how the mango vermelo that kc.brain's used was. That bg x angola looks/sounds killer blan.

the manga rosa females i've worked with were hermie free, the males did show hermie traits. great product from bsc. loves hot humid conditions. long lasting delicate up energizing high. you realize its duration of high when trying to go to sleep.

Taste: Strong mango juice, orange peels
Aroma: sweet mango

luiz is still getting some very interesting seed samples from his grower friend sergipe.

here's some of what he recently got in:

aracaju red:

Angola Red is related to Aracaju Red as sisters. You can expect a long flowering sativa with X-mas tree shape full of red hairs ( blood red color). Vegetative stage very vigorous and easy to make clones, growing a lot until 3 meters heigh. LOng fluffy buds with a citric smell of tangerine. Clear uplifting high.
Hope that help you out.
L.
fire fox tail ( rabo de rapaso de fogo):
Fire Fox Tail is a redish haired sativa with long flowering period of 16 weeks that gets good resination with a fruity smell and citric taste. Nice uplifting high very psicoative, very energetic one. I remember the first I had a toke of FFT and I got so many thoughts flying on my mind that I couldn´t sleep
I had Collected Fire Fox seeds long time ago in the 80´s from buds coming from Pernambuco and I was thinking that none of them will sprout but for my surprise some them germinated after speding 15 yrs in my stash. I forgot them and when I tried them out I could get 4 plants going on and was astonished for her electric high.
^ this one has me very interested. i need something akin to a good electric psychoactive red haired mex.

racha coconut:

Raxa Coconut is an old school strain from the 70´s and 80´s and it is a nice smooth weed that grows naturaly wild in Bahia and Pernambuco with brown colored buds that reminds Coconut and it is a strong plant with strong cerebral high that is so hard to stand for that cracks your mind in two and that is called in portuguese as rachar but the guys from Bahia spelled it wrong like raxar. The flowering time is around 16 weeks. Gets a heigh of 3 meters.
paraguay hash sativa:

Paraguay Hash Sat is the new generation of sativas coming from Paraguay (the biggest MJ production in South America). SHe is a bushy sativa of highest order, very fine smoke, brown colored, after drying and curing, sweet aroma but very strong morrocan hashish taste. She starts slow in the vegetative stage on the first month but develops good side branches at the bottom. Flowering time of 12 weeks.
Paraguay has a sedaive high wiht nice thc resination wiht glitering glands and strong potency of a sedative high but a very fine one.
mango red:

Mango Red is a sativa from Pernambuco something like another version of the popular Manga Rosa
^ i don't know how many beans of each he received of the above strains.

my prize from luiz is chocolate chiba . i've just completed one strain preservation seed run and am finishing up a small second seed run. my sample buds tasted like chocolate but i ran them with way too low fert. levels. my second run with med-heavy ferts. looks much nicer.

^ original pic. is very frosty. this is luiz's pic. sent to me re chiba q's.

here's luiz's description of choco chiba:

About the questions of chiba I didn´t understand which are the q´s? I´ve got this Chiba from a lady who was the wife of the trafficant
who gave us the seedlings and some seeds. Choco Chiba is a dark green leaf plant full of side branches but a narrow sativa which came from Colombia but got stablished in Paraguay long time ago. She has powerful full of thc buds that smell like guava in teh start of flowering but becomes to change and to get resinated in the end of the flowering. Mine isn´t the Choco fudge I know that one and it´s hard to find pretty rare. These one is related to Choco Colombian.
Chiba´s high is very narcotic one but enjoyable, long lasting and mind blower.
edited for content not pertinent to strain descriptions.

Yep that is correct about Choco Chiba. The high is trippy like a good old school sativa is. For sure a psychoative high
here's zamalitos account of how luiz sourced the choco chiba strain:

In Brazil we obtained a cutting and some seeds of a variety referred to as a chocolate sativa from an woman whose husband was a well reputed member of the paraguaian mafia. They told us this variety was actually a colombian Chiba that they'd been growing in paraguai for quite some time.
To get the strains pure you almost always have to get it direct from the grower and over the last ten years growers have gone very far underground and are extremely secretive. Fortunately the old native guarani woman who gave us the cutting and the seeds really appreciated the strain and refused to hyrbidize it when growing it for her own personal stash. I couldn't meet her in person. In order for luiz to be permitted into the compound an armed escort assigned by the mafia was required. These were obviously very sketchy people.

Hi Idiit,

luiz is still getting some very interesting seed samples from his grower friend sergipe.

I would really love that Choco Chiba, but.... I thought Luiz was closing down, I looked at the website, it still says he is closed... Are you in contact and still getting things from him somehow ?

It was really nice to see those photos from our friend Hazy Lady up there, sad she is not posting anymore, I was very happy to see her work is still appreciated.

luiz can still be contacted at his email addy. he is out of the seed biz. but still gets almost impossible to commercially source strains (seeds) from his friends.

my manga rosa selection for strain preservation was poor. I ended up with some manga rosa with lower potency than the ones I started off with from luiz.

it brings up a big problem; male selection from seed stock. we don't know how a male's performance as stud is until we test his progeny.

many of us work in small gardens due to leo. we don't have room to grow out lots of plants and do the multiple stud route.

Idiit,
This is why we use multiple males, even two will increase the diversity within the next generation as compared to using one male. I'm sure you know this well though.

^ correctomondo. problem is with 10 seeds I didn't have but one male germinating to use. I only had a few seeds germ on lots of the strains from Luiz's bottom of the barrel sale. he was very upfront about low germ rates.

as you stated ctg there should be genetic diversity in repros. this was a good reason why.

not to stir up too much "chit" but i'm really really interested in sativa dom no mercy santa maria bx. lots and lots of doubts, controversy about everything on this line.

I lost most of my santa maria sat dom hybrids this year run out doors. I was really looking forward to testing them smoke wise.

will be top of the list next year's out door personal smoke strains.

it's the santa maria hybrids i'm enthused about. i'm not looking hard at straight santa maria nld phenos. they call it the synergistic effect in hybrids that I strongly suspect santa maria sat dom from no mercy bx has.

Probably its fake manga rosa, no one in Brasil smokes it anymore, almost impossible even to smoke manga rosa around.
