mtnjohn ... I hear ya with these 150's. Personally I'm just as amazed as you man. This is my very first time using a 150w. :yoinks:

Suga  thanks man. OB1's look good but man. the Burmese are not lookin good at all. :badday: I fear the worst at this point but have them under the lights still.

Black Ra1n.. Thanks man. I'm stoked with this tent. I'll post weight for ya when I know. Make yourself comfortable. Smell is Citrus/Turpentine/tickle your nose ...best I can describe it with my smokers nose. Heady will be down next weekend. He's got a better pallette than I.

Thanks Red  ...always nice to hear from ya.

Lime...thanks Dog. :joint: How's the pimpster doin these days anyways? I'll live vicariously through you today as I look out my window at a fresh layer of snow. Thanks for the props on my garden man. Always Nice!! How's your beverage?

Hey Q :joint: ...gnarly indeed...freaky I think. who da thunk from a 150?

Dr Dog  ...thanks for stoppin in man. Ya, I'm as nice as can be, till someone says, turn and cough :yoinks: ha, stop by anytime man. Thanks, Cheers

Well folks. .. Think I'll start working on a drying cabinet. Gots me a week to see if I can put something together. lets see...should have enough left-overs of everything I need. Might just take a few extra brad nails is all. and some duct tape.

Peace

well i just made a cuppa tea and a joint :joint: and read through ya diary... and what a diary!!
I love the setups u have, great stuff  and i would say a few words about them :D

The veg area, i love how u have fluoro tubes on the side, so u have light from the bottom of plants to the top, thats great stuff..
The two flower areas, thats great too, gives options like if u wanted to make some seeds, and get some bud to smoke u have two areas for that.. And of course to get some diff kinds of plants to grow also ,in the diff areas..
Im really surprised at how nice those buds are in the 150w, they look pretty fat to me :yummy: .. u are using cfl as supplemets i see which is cool, means u can get light to the areas further from the 150 bulb, i personally take the rating of the cfl bulb rather than its equivelent value when stating my watts :D and yr tent is very impressive for the watts in there for sure

And before i ramble on and on lol.. the 400 (430 watt to be exact ? ) cab is very smart, looks like u built a nice setup in there, im hopin myself to upgrade my cab to a cool tube 400w hps, and seeing your cab i cant wait to get that up n running, the buds in there look might chunky and frosty, and your use of the SCROG method is very good.(i use LST myself and never tried the screen method, but seems either way is good :yummy: ) And when i got my cab upgraded i hope i can get results like yours, would be nice if i can get my yields up a bit, and hopin the 400w will do that for me :D
:lurk: well done i say BG , well done indeed!

430w cab update

430w cab update

Hey folks

Zeus :joint: This ones for you buddy! ...ahhh I miss cuttin wood....well sorta, I miss the smell of it. Ever since my buddy showed me how to cut would using an excavating hoe and a splitter, I'll never cut wood the same again. I don't think I used the ax once that day. Truely awsome to see someone use one of those machines when they really know what they are doing. 100' x 300' lot cleared, split, brush burned and stumps burried ready to build the house in 1 day. Never seen anything like it.

I just had to tell that story just in case he's out there lurking...ha.

Kooki .. so glad you stopped in. Such kind words man, thanks. Seems like you got my system figured out. me too ...just. Still dialing it in but I feel like at least I'm in charge now. Yup it's a 430w Hortilux Eye and 430w ballast. if you were asking. As for getting your yields up with the 400. absolutly you will...however...I'm just as amazed as y'all with my 150 tent. seriously. Thanks again for takin the time to read through my diary and get to know things/me Kooki. Respect right back at ya man. for sure. Y'all should check out Kooki's cab.

Stoners memory...Suga was it you that just recently shut down your 400w cab because your 150 does good enough for you right now?...think it was you. Papa Bear Cab?....so many of you awsome growers out there.

Alright...less talk more pics.

Here's how things looked in the 430w cab tonight with the LUI.

First shot is the cab

Next shots are soon to be harvested. Cloudy Trichs a few sparce amber.

Next few are around 38 days I think?

And here's the Super Skunk x Kush getting trained in the scrog prep area.

Hope y'all had a great Easter Weekend no matter what your faith is.
Peace

Fantastic foxtails B! :yoinks:

Your photos are always crystal clear  of course your models are hot as hell too :yummy:

You're right...the only way to tell when a plant is done is through a loupe. I too like my buds coated with amber trichs. I have noticed you can wait forever with aome strains and still end up with few. My Blueberries trichs actually turn dark red/purple...very easy to tell when it's done.
I love the couchlock Indicas

Howdy Folks.

A little bad news this morning but nothing I can't deal with. :badday: Turns out my buddy was right and I do have thrips. :yoinks:

back in the fall I took him a few clones and we were talking again a few weeks back and he says...hey you bastard you gave me thrips!!... I says..not me man, no way. I haven't seen one and surely I would have seen some by now if I did. Well?????? Sorry my friend...looks like you were right. :badday:

Things are pretty bad here but it seems only in my Veg area. (Buds are ok...phew) I'll be makin a trip to the Hydro shop today and give everything in my house including house plants a dose of organic pest controls. Maybe I'll deal with the few Gnats I have at the same time. ha....like that ever happens. I always have a couple of those flyin around but they never bother me much...never out of control with those, as long as you use neem and sticky traps every now and then.

uggh...it was inevitable....Thrips is a first for me though...mites and gnats is all I ever had in the past...

Hey anyone keep a lady bug or venus fly trap in their grow space? :chin:

Thanks for stoppin in everyone. I really appreciate you guys keepin a close eye on me. I think I'm on top of the issue at hand but feel free to scold me if you see where it may have stemmed from. :pointlaug or if ya know any good ideas to combat future infestations.

Peace
BG

Recycled soil = no no.....:badday: Not cooked enough, I guess.

The other puzzling thing is the life cycle is short (7 to 22 days depending on the temperature), so I can't see how you've had thrips since fall and now you are just noticing them.....perhaps the thrip infestation of your friend was a coincidence and you've just picked them up recently from outside somewhere.....

This is the benefit of a microfiltered intake port to your plants. The filter will keep out many pests and pathogens.

I plan on using the best 3M furnace filter I can to filter the incoming air of pests.

Good luck and we'll have a look-see this weekend.

Unfortunately beneficial nematodes will not help as Thrips do not spend any time in the soil. Outside they overwinter in leaf litter on the surface. Nematodes, however, will clear your soil of many other kinds of pests, any that spend part of their lives in the soil. Fungus gnats are particularly vunerable, as are molds, bacterium and other pathogens in the soil.
