Why and how much do you give epsom salts Stan?
I am also feeding my plants with the same Biobizz products, but I need to go buy more Topmax as I just finished my bottel.

The epsom salts are used to prevent/cure Mg deficancies. It's pretty much accepted that Bio-Bizz is lacking in Mg, although the problems are more so when using their Allmix soil. I've stopped using it, and have found a cheaper alternative that seems to help, but I still feed epsoms half way thru veggin & also @ 2 weeks 12/12. Another dose 2-3 weeks later can also help if there is a noticable problem. I feed with nutes @ 1 Table spoon/gallon, first diluted in a little warm water. Foliar feeding is also an option during the vegative stage, but I've found using the above schedule works better.
Bogglegum is notoriously Mg hungry according to our old friend, but other strains may be less so. In which case lower doses may work just fine, just like so many aspects of growing it's all about dialling in to the strain you're growing. I think Soma's comments in his book about growing a strain multiple times are so true, as otherwise it really is a little hit or miss.
I'm sure you'll agree that my current run of Bogglegum looks much healthier than the previous grow did @ the same stage, 5 weeks 12/12 that is

Thanks Stan for you clear explanation. But how do you know that your plants are MG deficiant? What are the signs?
Please look in on my grows and check them out. My grows all seem healthy and happy. But as we are both feeding the same nutrients, then perhaps I also need epsoms.
But my soil is different to yours, maybe there is enough MG there and thats why I dont need extra additives like epsom salt.

To be honest my girls didn't really have a chance to show any signs of deficany as like I said I hit them with a pre-emptive strike 2 weeks in, but in the past it's become noticable late in veg, and then got serious as they went into flower. The first signs are a lightning of the fan leaves between the veins, the veins themselves stay a nice green. Of course I'll drop by and take a look ' your girls, as it's always a pleasure

Feeding time meanz piccy time
Dead on 5 weeks 12/12 today, so shouldn't be more than another 3 until the festivities begin
Changed the feeding regime today, cutting back on the Bio-Grow, and upping both Bio-Bloom and Topmax to 2ml/litre. That's quite a strong brew for such small plants which is why I cut back on the Grow. Didn't want to push my luck, even though the Bio-Bizz schedule reccomends using it @ 1ml/litre uuntil harvest.
Anyhow enough talk, here's the goods

Had to water/feed the girlz this morning due to the excessive temps of the last few daze, so I thought it best to apologize for boring you with more bud shots in advance
The last week has really seen them pack on some weight, and resin
I'm using Topmax bloom stimulator, and although many think it has no use I'm sure it
prolongs flowering, allowing bigger budz with some serious resin build up. We'll soon see, as they're only 10 daze away from Bog's latest predicted harvest, yet still no real sign of them turning. I reckon they might go as much as 60 daze

Been admiring your bg grow - very nice, that mom should really yield for you! The blooms sure are packing on the weight - I use topmax too.
My lifesavers finish a bit longer than predicted too.

Had to feed the girlz again this morning, and as we're ' almost 45 daze thought I'd have a peak thru the dope scope. Almost all trichs are cloudy, with just a few clear. No sign of any amber heads yet, so we'll be keeping things just as they're for a week or so. I like to see a few amber babes before harvesting, but not too many as I find the Bogglegum to be heavy enuff without waiting for a majority vote
As you can see there's not much change in appearance, a few more brown pistils, and a little more size. I'm thinking another feed sunday, then plain water up til harvest sometime toward the end of next week
Most of the new clones have rooted now, and mum's in need of a trim before going to flower mee thinks
Anyhow, I'll do another kwik update next week, and then it'll be hubble bubble pics

mums only been outside since april, and although she was showing many pre-flowers has really just got on with veggin out. It's the first time I've really had any plants outside, so I'm no expert. I guess the reason she hasn't flowered is doown to the lenght of the daze at the moment, although I'd expect her to start soon as of course the daze are getting shorter now the solstice has passed us by
As I've said on many occassions, I'm also looking forward to putting her under the 600w hps. She's quite a monster already, with so many branches that are just gonna be swelling with bud within the next few months Seeing as she too began as a clone from my last grow I guess it'd be rude not to continue this thread with her progress

just built another room and ordered another 600w digital hps that makes 2x600 w and a 200 mm fan and carbon filter
room /is 8 feet long 4 feet wide 8 feet tall will that fan and filter be enough or do i need another ?
