Got a pack of bogbubble and bogglegum about 3 years ago off Gypsy and grew out the Bogglegum , finding a wonderfull keeper from the seven females.

Question is am i likely to find anything better in the Bogbubble or is the question too subjective.

Am i correct in thinking that Bogbubble is not the best variety offered ?

too subjective in my opinion. personally, im in love with bogbubble, and i wish i still had MY bb mom, now that ive moved. :(

But thats just my .02.

Seems like BOG's genetics are very solid with good consistency. Great breeding stock IMO. But who really knows until you try.

foomar i had a bog medley pack from over 4 years ago that had bogbubble and bogglegum in it... i personally thought the bogglegum was better having more head to it, whereas the bogbubble might have been slightly more stoney, it was just relaxing not very high being all indica. has a spicy sweet smell n taste though. not bad but too weak for me.

btw as far as staple for breeding, that's entirely wrong... you do not use white label seeds inbred further, as a start for breeding. make some seeds, sure, breeding, i hope not.

peace n green thumbs all

man, last time I spoke to Bog he said that he didnt even know where he could get his genetics as alot of them are already gone and he wont be continuing his work, I would atleast keep em as they are beautiful strains that have taken many years to accomplish and you may never lay your eyes on em again, all the stuff I had I wish i stilll had but you know the saying, out with the old in with the new...

Time to take some lumps...lol. Thank's KingRalph. I'm definitely not a breeder but dabble in seed making and realize there is a difference. Breeding is something I haven't spent much time understanding so off I go to learn more.

People I know that have played with BOG's genetics in seed making have had excellent results.

I liked it, good smoke, good flavor, chunky nugs with a northern lights flavor, frosty too.

BOG mothers

BOG mothers

I still keep around my Lifesaver, Bogglegum, bogbubble , and LSD moms.. The only ones that get very much rotation are the Lifesaver and LSD..But honestly all of em are such fun to grow I can't get rid of any of em.
I would recommend bogs seeds to anyone.. :pointlaug :yoinks:

I've grown out both Bogbubble & Bogglegum, and consider myself lucky to have a excellent Bogglegum mother in my garden :joint:

I definately prefered the Bogglegum, although I had more females to choose from. Plenty of people have grown her from my clones, and have all been more than happy with the results.

And lets not forget the Bogglegum bubble :yummy:

Yes, I love my Bogglegum :canabis:

OK...I feel pretty stupid as I'm not familiar with the term 'white label seeds' used this way. Only time I heard it was with some stuff Sensi Seeds sells. Can someone please elaborate?

Thanx...

Took pollen from a male from the original bogglegums should still be viable enougth.
The male was the first to show sex and was very compact not perhaps the best choice.
The keeper female was nearly discarded as growth rate and final yield was low but after a months cure was an outstanding smoke.

Lots of tweaking has got the yield better but still low.
Dont know enougth to tell if crossing the two would be rewarding or a freakshow.

Nobody i know wants to swap everyones sick of bubblegum flavours round here but i can smoke it all day and function normally, more flavour than strength.

Considering growing out the bogbubble starting in a few weeks or sooner and will document it if there is any interest.

Would it be better to grow them all together and let nature take its course or be selective in parents ?

Certainly need advice and guidance on selection of plants and can take high quality photos to help in this , grown for decades but new to selected breeding in cannabis.
Dont even know how many seeds could be produced in one run or wether many would want them.
Certainly have no intention of makeing money from this in any way i know anyone could do it and if anyone else intends to then ill not bother.

Would intend to distribute via seedbay as i assume thats safely anonymous for everyone and sold at whatever price you decide but dirt cheap

preserve them

preserve them

For heavens sake!!!!!!!!!

Either grow them and make seeds or give them to someone who knows how to make alot of seeds.

You will not get these seeds again. EVER.

There are NO BOG SEES ANYWHERE.

I wrote to Bog and he says NO SEED SELLER CAN POSSIBLY HAVE HIS SEEDS ANYMORE.

And he WILL NOT BE MAKING SEEDS AGAIN.

Peace

Bog's Bogbubble was derived from White Labels Doublegum which should be a good substitute for most in the absence of Bog's Bogbubble and at a decent price too.

In regards to the original poster if it were me I'd grow 'em out or at least sit on 'em 'til I felt the need to grow them.

I agree with the rest, grow them and take clones, save pollen or take clones of your best males as well, make sure to take plenty, then pass them on to some of ur trusted friends and so on.Someone needs to save his genetics, ive heard so much positive things about his genetics, its sad to see them in extreme danger of exstension.Would be great to see some of his genetics hittin the scene, but if some1 did suceed, how would they be distributed,i dont know him personally, but i seriously doubt he would want some1 selling his genetics.then again i could be completely wrong, like i said i dont know the dude.definately give them a chance,im sure ull be more then pleased with them.hope everything goes good for you, peace,,,,,,EDIT.not to start anything, but i read a thread on here(cant remember which)but it basically stated that u could not make f2's from bogs genetics because they were poly-hybrids or something.anyone have any more info on that?

I have made "f2's" with his genetics. You just have a LOT more variety than with other strains. I am not a breeder by any stretch of the imagination. But I have been very lucky with some of the seeds I've made.
