BOG Seeds Sour Bubble.

Have had the SourBubble BX3 (now very inbred)and the LifeSaverDiesel. The LSD was very good for me in terms of 'daytime' effects and the growth was certainly better than the SB. Would have loved to have kept the LSD, but she wouldn't reveg for me, so lost her. Would have been nice to have had more beans of that.

SourBubble ...stout little beast! Always wondered what could be done short of chemicals, that would encourage her to stretch in veg, a little bit more. Maybe i would try trimming the lower branches to force upward growth. Maybe distancing from the light source?
I would suggest trying Tony’s ‘05-‘10 Sour Bubble IX or the Weighted Blanket, there should be branchier higher stretching pheno’s in them.

I keep her around 93 mil miles away from the light source haha. I personally have never grown her under indoor lights. Would be interesting to see what happens. I will say , when grown outdoor and in the ground, she takes about 6 months, june to end of oct in most cases

Those sound like great crosses but they also sound like a lot of work! After seeing pollen the last three years I think it's too soon to consider making seeds on my end!

I still have some bx3 s1 that might pop.

I miss that lime!

@Hammerhead You think you'll ever do a sour dub s1 or crosses again? That was the best tasting weed I ever grew.

Not SDUBB S1 . I let the clone go many years ago. I could only make more S2 and beyond. I still have a good seed supply of both S1 and S2 seeds. After I get done with the haze work ill see what I direction to go.
Im making these now
DBMH s1 (NEM CLONE)
Corey x DMT) x THHx P41
BOGSOUR bubblegum x White Larry F8)
Afghan78 x P420A
BOGSOUR BUBBA x Animal piss x WLF8

Reversed females

Got a few sour bubbles going myself, but the first round is stunted. The 2nd round of planting was only about half a dozen but they're all up think! Can't wait!

Looks like a good lineup for the future Hammerhead! Where did you source that seed?

How are your Weighted Blankets coming along @Redrum92 ? I just started half a pack of 'em alongside CSI's Bubba Kush S1 and Babu (Pre-98 Bubba Kush x Katsu's Bubba Kush).

Of the two I popped first, I got one runt and one lovely female who is going to get flipped in ~2 weeks. I think it's about 7 weeks in veg, and healthy, but not particularly huge, as you would expect from SB progeny. Has some other subtle SB personality/look in veg, like large, slightly blue fan leaves. I regret not starting more seeds earlier, but my limited space forced my hand. Have started 3 more WB since then, so stay posted!

These are 4 weeks old, and maybe a little on the slow side, but very healthy looking. Not surprised by the slow veg considering SB is known for it. The chem91xSB are more vigorous and lanky, versus the compact WB. Here's a comparison:

20230424_143424 - Copy.jpg

3 Chem91 x Sour Bubble on left, 1 Weighted Blanket, far right. Hybrid vigor versus inbreeding, exactly as you would expect. All of them showing that SB tendency to be a lot of main stem, and start side-branching on the late side.

WB#1veg8wk - Copy.jpg

The winner female Weighted Blanket looking disheveled after heavy training and defoliating, but make no mistake, she's a beauty. Topped only twice. Extremely bushy. Color not at all accurate. Better pic tomorrow.

Thanks for asking. Hope yours come up as well as mine did!

Also, obviously a little early to judge, but so far does exactly what it says on the box, so to speak. Thanks @Tonygreen

i went for his sour strawbs ... 13 seeds in a pack of regs.... ive got 5 seeds left

had 3 females
1 male
2 no shows

just germinated 2 more... i sometimes find that when you get a twisted leaf on the 1st set 90% of the time its lead to a female .... but tbh id take 1 of each male and female..

respect to bog and his work.... 🙏🏼

How's the stretch on them in general? Seems compact but it's always tough to tell unless you're there. The more it looks like Sour Bubble the better as far as I'm concerned.

Next to none. The first 2 weeks from seed was some of the most vigorous height gain I've ever seen, but once it started branching and was topped, was almost all lateral growth. Absolute bush for sure.

His Sour Strawberry are incredible!!

I did a repro run and I have to say I'm beyond impressed. His gear is and will always be top notch but BOG really did a great job on the Sour Strawberry Kush.

There's very pronounced dominant/recessive expression in most of the more worked lines of his.

If you like what you find with that twisted (or wrinkly, as BOG referred to it) leaf, then keep any male you find with that trait.... should you find it, and the work shouldn't be that difficult to secure for true breeding (IME).

Keep us posted and let us know.

Branchy as all hell... that's definitely interesting.

Thanks for the sharing, I'm enthralled.
