LMFAO........Best deals are in volume as long as they don`t precipitate and fall outta suspension from being used in a timely manner.........but....

No worries with SM-90 , and as long as you`re rotatin stock and using that amount regularly then it`s all good......

As a rule nutes don`t store well , but I used 4 yr old GH3 part with out even knowing it till I got done with the 6 gal jugs and went ta toss em with no discernable difference in yields or quality......

Bro....Clone rules are simple but really strain related......so...

Higher temps and humidity ftw , like 80/80 with domes and that dampin off shit means your medium`s either too wet or not aerated enoughta dry out sufficiently for callousing and lateral root formation......but...

My Cali growbro convinced me yrs ago to start usin clear solo cups with coco and puttin cuts in well hydrated/flushed /moist coco and let the shit run under t-8`s for a week before addin any more diluted juice.......

Everything I ran had roots after 7 days except that whoreass Chem D , but she did root sooner or later....with the clear cups you could see the early rooters and get em under t-5`s for pre-veg sooner and pick the cream of the crop for the rotations....

Proud of yas my buddy.........Never had no butter.....shit looks toxic.....

Handle it.....Freds.....:ying:......

I used to use cups, and then transitioned to trays cause I could get more cuts in the same space, just had to transplant them sooner. I had almost 100% success every time. Now it's like everything I try to clone dies. 80/80 huh? I bet that's a problem... cause I have been cloning outside the veg tent, and humidity is low. I never used to run a dehumidifer! I bet that's the problem. Back when I had PM, I could take 100 clones no problem. :D

I'll go back to using a few cups too... See how it goes. Gotta pull out the drill and make some holes... :smokey:

D

DHF

I learned long ago ta take big cuts....that way when I scraped/scarified and sunk em down in the cups covered in rootone powder , they had several inches of stem area to form laterals......

Get the drill and make extra holey cups cuz puttin em on top of the cups/cuts gives em their own individual humidomes.....

You`ll get it Bro......I murdered 10`s of 1000`s of cuts in the pursuit of Nirvana over the yrs.....

Keep it simple....Freds.....:ying:.....

aero cloner ftw

nothing against other ways of cloning because i have had great success with pucks and powders and i have also had my fair share of probs with my aero cloner but from experience 99.9% of all probs in aero cloners are bacteria realted and some rooting solutions cause more probs than others

the pucks are reusable, no domes, i never met a strain that my cloner didnt have ready to transplant in under 8 days and some in as little as 5

they are expensive but you can build one pretty easily, but i dunno you dont seem like the DIY type lol. the initial investmnt is more but in the long run it the cheapest and most effecient way to clone, and taking as many clones as you do it seems practical

just my two cents, anyone who owns/built one would agree

you shit is looking killer bro keep up the good work

wanna try me some of that sour double bubble it looks awesome is that your own cross?? what kind of characteristics did your Sour bubble have

On the contrary... every large grower I know... and I've met a few now... Has quit using their aero cloner and gone back to simple "set it and forget it" methods... Like solo cups, as DHF has suggested...

I bought some foggers though b/c they should do the same thing as an aero cloner, but even more simple... I'm still waiting on the power supplies though, cause I ordered from China... lol

Anyway, I bought humidity domes for my flats and so far I have 100% survival on all new cuts! YEAH YEAH!!!

It's looking like Menage-A-Trois and ECSD are going to be the next 2 crops... lol

Super Sour Double was found in some seeds I grew from Lolagal... they were her Sour Bubble Mix... and This one is definitely a mix, cause Sour Bubble doesn't grow like Super Sour Double. It's heavy on the sour lime from the sour bubble, but with a hint of fruity fuel from the SSSDH.

IDK if I mentioned it... Super Sour Double, Sour Amnesia, ECSD, and something else that I haven't picked yet will be my monocropped strains. Each one will get it's own room. :smokey:

week 7 update... Cutting the micro after 4 weeks was too soon... and I probably have root aphids again. These leaves shouldn't be so yellow this early on. I did mess up the feed though on a few plants. Anyway, I only got 2 shots off before the batteries died...

Bro ..I just use Clonex, rock wool and a tray with a simple dome on it, gro-bro just took 50 USD cuts yesterday, and my Tang cuts are already showing roots, I so believe in KISS.....Aero cloners in my opinion are just a waste of money, just my two cents and I understand some really love them, but I'm cheap and I'm getting literally almost 100% success.

Love the Pods!

Stuck in Lorado, TX until tomorrow, today is Mexico's independence day and NOTHING is moving here lmao!

I always had no probs with pucks but it wasnt really set it and forget it for me i would have to water every couple days and spray the humidity dome and such. I never used dixie cups though which prob hold more water, only the expand in water pucks .

but if i took clones in pucks or cups and something happened where i couldnt visit for two weeks they would prob dry out and die but in an aero cloner they would just be extremely ready for transplant

Not trying to convert you just throwing it out there i used to dog on people who wasted their money on aero cloners back then too, and i agree with mega even knowing how well they perform i would never buy an EZ-cloner i built my first aero cloner cause i pretty much had the parts lying around. I am glad to hear you are having 100% success

I noticed in one of your rooms you are using stacked sterilite containers which is pretty genius is there a reason the wooden bobblepods are better

btw congrats on being stickied

The bins are nice for a pre-made stackable system.... But custom made racks hold more plants and are the exact dimensions I need for my space. The design is still subject to modification... But far superior to the bins. The bins are just easy to setup and tear down.

I'm with mega on this. I started out with a home made bubble cloner and I had good results with it, but if I forgot to change out the water every few days I had slimy dead clones.

Now I'm using "jiffy seed starter kits" which are available pretty much anywhere (home depot, lowe's, target, wal-mart even the local grocery store had 'em in spring) and they are $3-$5 for a little tray that holds 36 peat pucks with a lid AND the pucks. I bought three of them (less than $10 total) and was able to take 108 clones. Without clonex, without doing anything to my tap water (no ph, no additives, literally nothing) it took two weeks for 70 of them to root and in the last week or so since then almost all of the others have also rooted. 3 of them (so far) died on me or didn't produce roots at all.

I also didn't have a heating mat under them or do anything special. (I literally set them on the lower tier in my colosseum table and misted the lids once or twice a day.) As DHF is fond of saying, "baby shit."

(I am also ferting with the KISS method - i.e. using GH Maxibloom at 7g per gallon with a 1/2 tsp. of liquid silica per gallon as a PH up.) You can tell the difference the silica makes after only 2 tiny waterings in the strength of the stems/branches of the newly rooted clones.

I'm sure you'll figure it out Bobble. You're a bright fellow.

aero cloners are a little bit more finicky than bubble cloners but you should have been able to use plain tap water to root in your bubbler and virtually never have to change your rez if you were having probs if you didnt change it ever couple days then there is something missing

even in my aero cloner i use clonex and they are completely ready for transplant in 7 days then i take another batch and use the same rez water then seven days later i will change the rez and repeat. every 4 batches of clones i will run bleach overnight, every coupe months i will buy new neoprene. that is just to be cautious when i first built one I didnt clean it for 6 months before i had probs. I have rooted with plain tap and plain RO before.

it is all depends on a persons situation too like you said you were able to take 108 clones for $10 but if you are taking 108 every week you will spend $520 a year. you could buy 2 EZ cloners or build like ten that will last a lifetime. I am taking about 40 a week but i take 2x more clones than i am gonna need

I would highly approve of seeing a Bobblehead Menage a Trois grow!

As far as cloning, I get just about 100% success with rapid rooters. I keep them in a cool bathroom under a T5, no dome, with a little less than 1/8" of plain tap water in the container they are placed in.

the early bird gets the worm...

So I've been preparing for expansion... even though I don't quite have this spot dialed in yet... it's coming. As soon as I have the cloning thing fixed I'll be in business... So I've been collecting equipment again.

I picked up 3 quantum digital 600w ballasts for $110 shipped each on ebay.

But this is what I'm most proud of... my SECOND DRIZAIR200!! BOOYA!! This one only cost me $350 (if you know anything about dehueys, you know that is the armed robbery with a grenade launcher), and it's been powdercoated and rebuilt. It runs better than the one I have now... Quieter, generates less heat... so before I setup the new spot, I'm going to have the other dehuey serviced.

Now I just need a cheap aqua logic chiller... :smokey:

Cant beat solid equipment for cents on the dollar.......Killer find Bro......

Best news I`ve heard was someone`s finally gonna designate production rooms for 1 strain/variety to dial fuck out of em and squeeze the bitches as far as they can go.............Respect.......

Root aphids again ?........Surely not.....I never cut my micro that early either BH......

Got an Aqua-Logic drop in probe chiller in the barn never been used......Merry Xmas...

Just gotta get back to the farm.....Drop in probes create no heat in the rez cuz the unit`s not inline it`s outside on the concrete floor and the lung room takes care of the heatgain off the unit.....but.....

Why do you need a chiller .........Inquiring minds wanna know......regardless..... it`s yours with a big red bow on it.....

Anyways......You`re on yer way with the good , the bad , and the ugly......Handle it.....The road to Nirvana continues.......

Holler....Freds......:ying:.......

I found RA in my veg... I saw them with my own 2 eyes... But no flyers. I figured if they're in the veg tent, then everything is infested. I just have to give regular Imid treatments at every potting to make sure I knock them out... and hydrate the bricks with Imid. I'm using the SM-90 @5mL a gallon, so it probably is just the lack of micro causing the yellowing... but then again some plants are still green and look perfectly fine. Same strain getting the same feed, I think it's bugs... I'm not tearing the roots apart for another 2 weeks.

I love you bro! :D It's for the cooling system at the new place. I don't really need it till next summer... I'm gonna perfect what I started here. I've been looking into mini-splits and this and that for cooling... and then I read something about how water is way more effective at removing heat than an air cooling unit, and the chiller is more efficient to run than an AC. So anyway, I'm picking up like 3 55gal drums to keep as reservoirs, gotta have a chiller, and radiators.

Cost efficient rooms... I don't just want a room that gets 2-3lbs per 600w lamp, I want to spend less money per plant to grow the thing. It leaves more room to pay the bills and buy truck and houses... and power tools! I'm gonna need a 6" hole cutter and a drill that can drive it... lol

I'm buying my house at the end of next week... :D

Congrats on your first house! Exciting times for you right now. I hope to have something to post in the next month, no camera and lack of anything interesting yet. Soon!
