LMAO At the collage boy not liking the labour intensive work involved

I did just build my stadium from scratch so I know where you coming from, had 9 cuts each section 10 sections then the shelves them selves lol

Keep at it bud will be worth it in the end.... Gas nail gun is a good call!!!!

lol, I didn't say that I didn't like the work... But I'm certainly not used to it. After having my thumb chewed up setting screws, I realized why they're stripped right below the head... To set them duh! lol Nail gun FTW!

I just keep envisioning 64 sideways growing bushes... :D I'm gonna be proud of this setup when I'm done.

I know most of you have been following me in the 1800w coliseum, as I've been dropping teasers about the new setup... Well, I'm finally building things, so here's a peak... :)

I love the setup. Ingenious! Pulling up a seat for this one..

im only pullin ya leg bro :biglaugh:

i do see now that with them pods even in a line in my room i could have them straight down either side with 2 lines in the middle back to back so twice as much room as i have now efectivly....

envisioning 64 sideways growing bushes thats just one tho isnt it and your building 2 ancha? :D

Made a post in another thread about the backs of the angled plants not havingta be hacked out after proper underneath and interior pruning/shaping ......

The absolute reason Heath came up with the angled racks was from the stadium plants backed against the walls doin nuthin but growin flarf and stealin important plant energy from the fronts and tops of the plants......

Just remember......Don`t allow any plant side by side , above or below on each level ta choke each other out from competing for light and environment......

64 "bushlet`s" sounds more appropriate my brutha.....LOL.....

Handle it .....DHF....:ying:....

Well in light of recent earthquake events going on in the world, I'm glad you used a screw gun cuz; THAT BEOTCH AIN'T MOVIN....lol of wait your in Michigan and I'm in Cali.....guess that's not as big an issue for you heh! Nice work man, the more I looked at your pics the more I think I can build your version of Heaths design. I have an idea of also staggering the Pods holes (opening where you place the pots?) so that (as DHF suggested) no two plants are "exactly" next to each other. I don't know if you get what I am trying to suggest but I have a picture in my mind and I think it would be a slight tweekage to your design, anyway THIS will be fun to see how it produces, yields, ease to maintain (Trim that damn larf away) and watering issues.

Btw your not using dripper's correct? I need to find a thread describing shut-off valves so I can better understand how to incorporate them. I know I don't want to hand water but we had SUCH problems with clogged drippers we are going back to hand watering this next run.

Keep building college boy..you can doo eeeet!

The force is strong with this one! ha ha... Once I the concept through my head, there was no turning back. As far as numbers... I'm going to veg my plants under a 400w mh for 4 weeks, as opposed to smaller plants vegged under t5 for 2 weeks like DHF and Heath. I'm medical for now, so I'm gonna play the number game... Initially though I have 64 purp x grape skunk seedlings to get started. I figure 1/2 will be males, so that will take me down to 32 within a month. At that time, I'll be firing up the next pod, taking 8 racks out of the other room and putting them freshly started room.

I read what you wrote. Good stuff. Eventually I want 32 3-4oz bushlets per room... You were so right about the ChemD being a bitch to root. I have 3 ChemD moms as opposed to my 1 StrawDD... But I'm having more success cloning the StrawDD.

Bring us a shrubbery!!!

The goal is to be up and running by the end of next week. Wish me luck...

:kos: -Hell yeah!!

oh yea! I'm in!

You don't want the plants finishing up even close to each other, that way light can penetrate all the way down to the bottom of the plant. That's what DHF is saying. You can' have them lined up one above the other, but there needs to be space between the 2. You can't just have a wall of indiscernible branches. I'm either gonna do chicken wire on the ceiling and string to support the branches, or horti-trellis... The horti trellis just seems like the best route honestly... I have to let the plants aim straight at the lamps to allow for maximum penetration. :D

DHF used inline shut-off valves between the levels to help compensate for water pressure at various levels... They're like $3 at the hydro store. I took this idea, but with with mini inline shutoff valves that will attach to the drip line. I can adjust feed specific to each plant this way. If a plant should die, (it happens from time to time) I can shut the feed off completely.

ok guys, here's a bit more detailed tutorial on bobbleracks, my take on Heath's Vertical Racks.
Each rack consists of 4 2x4's, cut to 7.5', and 20 1' sections 2x2 fir strip.
My first step was to make a template board. This board is used to ensure universal measurements on each 2x4. I made sure to mark the front face top and bottom, along with the back face top and bottom, to be sure I didn't get the 2x4 flipped around. Remember, measure 2x, cut 1x.

On the front face of the rack, I put the first bar 1' up, and the following three each 1.5' above the other.

For the back side, I but the back bar 2" below the front bar.
picture.php

So you end up with something that looks like this...
picture.php

Now it's time to build the back side of the racks. I used the same marking on the template as the back bar for the face, but the bar is attached on the other side of the line. This puts the bar on the back of the rack, between the two bars in the face of the rack.
picture.php

So now you have 2 sides...
picture.php

So put them together. I connected them between each of the bars in the face, and lined up with the bar on the back.

Now that the racks are built, they need to get painted... with white, mildew resistant paint.

Bobblerack flip pods......Now that`s a copywright waitin ta be trademarked......:dance013:....

Stayin busy Bro ?....LOL.....Love your enthusiasm.....Not wantin ta bust yer bubble , but Kilz is a primer , not a sealer even though it says it on da bucket......shit`s watered down paint , unless yas use oil base........but....if yas keep puttin more coats on it MAYBE you`ll be aight.......

That 5 gal bucket oughta go a long damn way......Guess I wasn`t specific enough bout the "Ultra-Flat" white "bathroom" mildewcidal paint Krusty usedta preach to us about that wouldn`t allow molds or mildews to penetrate into wall or ceiling surfaces be it wood or sheetrock....

That`s why I sealed my racks with pondliner on the insides , and reflectix on the outsides.........When`s yer birthday.....cuz I`m gettin yas a compressor and nail gun if yas gonna keep DIY`in........teehee....

Gotta luv da Bobble`s......He`s SO gonna nail this shit.....Handle it Bro...

Peace......DHF....:ying:....
