Well my man DHF i do appreciate the advice. Knowledge like this is invaluable. Im blessed.

I do have a question though. How many watts per room were you running?

1800w.

DHF has been my right-hand man for this build. I've put my own spin on the 1800w light column, but Heath and Freds already had the parameters laid out. I just had to build it.

Oh yeah Bobble. Before we moved I grew in unheated basement for 5+ yrs, great in spring and fall, way too humid in summer, nice in winter with a little liquid filled heater for lights out, but I did not and could not worry about temp flucuation. Man some days it would be so cold before lights came on. Good luck it all looks great. Still hoping you get that vacation sooner than later. lol

Trust me, I'm gonna get a nice vaca... I'm going to have more money available for the vaca b/c of the time I've been putting in. If I'm lucky, Freds will have me down in Hell, and Red's House of Love is a must! I've never been to Cali... I'll stop by your house too Mega! ha ha...

A perfectly dialed environment isn't necessary to grow some buds... But if you're going to take the risk, I feel that you had better do it right. Dialing a room to stay within 3 degrees lights on/off is insane... but 10 is easily doable.

Bobble - Not a bad idea about the space heater. I took off out of town for a few days last month, and I left the space heater on (in the room itself, not in the hut, .. about 10x10) all weekend.. Came back and was relieved (for real) to see my house not-burnt-down.

After that, I felt like I'd gotten away with something and didn't use the space heater, .. (Instead, I switched to a big flood reflector and a heat lamp bulb - probably not much difference in terms of safety).

Anyway, that's a good thought about the space heater. Maybe I could turn it on LOW for just a short time (20, 30, 40 mins) at a time, during the dark cycle, ..
I've got a feeling that once Summer gets in full swing around here instead of this horseshit (rain rain rain rain rain rain rain rain rain rain rain), I won't need any of that, .. And instead, I'll probably be trying to work it the other way, ...

I'm happy to hear that it's working out for you. I know they make space heaters with digital thermostats... You might want to invest in one in the future, probably next winter... cause like you said, summer is almost here. Make sure you're keeping you're humidity up to 70% during the stretch, and cut it down below 50% the last 4 weeks...

lol... My guess is heat, humidity, and LEO... I have it narrowed down to 2 states... but I'm going to keep my thoughts to myself.

FYI, there is also a Hell, Michigan. No joke.

We're fresh into the experiment here, .. About 2 hours after lights off, temps are around 72.. Will have to check high/low tomorrow AM.

Thanks Bobble!

9 days... Couldn't make it to 14 w/o sharing... ha ha...

Temps are holding around 71-72F lights off, 75F lights on.

I made 2 changes at once... Adding 50/50 RO/Tap water, 5mL a gallon cal/mag... and the plants are loving it!

The Purple Skunks are the biggest/bushiest so far, but that was anticipated... I think the Grape Kush and Sour Diesels are going to take a little longer to really get moving.

As noted in LL's thread, I didn't have to hack the backs off my plants. I put up horti-trellis, and trained the plants through...

good to know it's working. i think we have the same municipal water system and i always cut 50/50, but never had to add to any cal/mag to the GH 6/9 recipe. i'm going to try it out, i have some leftover from my last nute regime. some some strains have had a rust spot or too and purple stems but others look perfect.

i can't help but look at the floor and see a lot of space for more plants. i can picture 5 scrog sour bubbles down there, and an extra half pack to the total. i know you need some room to work, just shift them around as you go.

i've been battling humidity lately. it's in the 70s% but so far no PM or mold. more plants and using smart pots have really spiked my numbers this year even with my dehue running 24/7. how many gallons a day can yours pull again? mine does about 5-6? i need more power!!!

looking good bobble, let them fill fill fill fill :):):)

cheers brotha

Yeah buddy! I can't wait for the next 2.5 weeks to go by so I can see what I'm really working with... I know the Purple Skunk are going to be great... But I have no clue how the Grape Kush and Sour Diesel are going to stretch. I'm hoping that the Grape Kush is HK based, but who knows... MIway?

Very impressive dude. You're gonna have straight up walls o' reefer!

:tiphat:

Thanks brotha! :) only 10 days in. We've got another 20 days of explosive growth... Followed by swellage.

Rust spots and purple stems are deficiencies... So I would say you should give those strains cal/mag w/o a doubt... As far as your other strains not needing it, this is what I have to say: I don't NEED 1.5g of protein per lb of lean muscle to grow... But if I want to get the most out of my workouts, I need to give my body what it needs to recover. Cal/mag might not be deficient in all of your plants, but that doesn't mean that they can't take more... Try to feeding them a little extra and see what happens.

You're right about the floor... but I just don't have the extra plants right now. My veg tent is loaded though, with roughly 15 plants to take clones from, and lots of seeds getting popped for the tester room. Please believe that in the future, the floor will also have plants. I could put them on casters, so they roll around... :D

oh man, you should definitely get a bigger dehuey! or at least another one. My dehuey is rated to pull 25 gallons a day out of the air... and let me tell ya, it does the job. Just last night it pulled out 2.5+ gallons... I have a DRIZAIR 200, I got it used for $450. I had to take it apart and replace some old tubing that had cracked and was leaking. The new tubing I put in there is of much higher quality than the material they had years ago when the dehuey was built... so I don't anticipate any problems in the future...

If you need more power, is it possible to upgrade any circuits from 15A to 20A? or do you have a slot to add a circuit? :D I upgraded a 15A circuit to a 20A for my tester room, AND I added a 30A circuit... For the dehuey and accessories.

Yeah, I have no doubts about the SourD! :D I've never had my environment this dialed... I don't think many, if anyone has... So I'm expecting lots of good things.

I've been noticing some flies in my room... I thought they were just some fungus gnats... So I get on ic and start searching how to kill the little guys... and I find this thread:
https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=159960&highlight=fungus+gnats

It turns out I have root aphids. neat. I was warned about this actually, but I didn't really know what I was looking for. After reading through that thread, I now know that RA is what messed up my last grow, not pH. It's why my plants aren't growing any faster... I'm lucky I caught this when I did. I'll be applying Imid tomorrow.

Hey brother... Lookin good!!!

The GK & the SDs1 didn't stretch that much... stayed squat & wide. That grow wasn't dialed in... they had more than a few issues, so I'm guessing your gals will look better than what I've seen in the past.

One dude got both of them to yield out at 1 per light, again, undialed... and horizontal, so...???

If you want a stretcher, I'll get you the cut of the ECSD that I have... now she stretches! Maybe for a heady run on the side...? ;-)

BTW... look to the new Bayer Complete... Imid + a contact killer... no foods & seems to hold the pH better vs the Tree & Shrub. Root drenches went well w/o stress. Peace bro
