I see the value in green energy... really, I do... BUT... Who here is 1. buying or already owns their house. 2. Has the credit for the financing, or the cash laying around to buy the hardware.

Anyone who can say yes to both of those and isn't already working on it is probably a tight-assed republican and doesn't wanna spend the money on the initial investment, despite the long-term benefits.

:)

EXCUSE ME???!?!?! SOME..of us Republicans have VERY loose asses..OK??? (foot tapping madly)

I DID look into solar unfortunately my home does not get enough direct sunlight to justify the cost BUT if I did, it would make a HUGE dent in my power bill and I would do it in a minute NOT because I am some tree hugger loser Democrat, but because I love money!

Where I am at for three months of the year there is nearly no use for solar. We just happen to be getting about 160 inches of snow. It is one of the worst areas in the country for solar. I looked at it and realized that for 3 months I get no power and for another three months it is almost nothing. I just in a bad spot for solar.

On the site Build it Solar they have links to federal government logs of solar gain for each area.

Don't be a stranger... We miss you too bro. Waiting on bigger and better things from you.

A while back I said I was looking for a full-time job... Yeah, that's not happening. :D Sometimes I get a little overly ambitious... After some conversations with some experts in the cannabis and health care fields... I'm staying put, growing full-time, working part-time, and going to school! I'm great at what I do. I'm going to change the world one day. :blowbubbles:

In other news... I have about 35 Dirty Girlscouts germinated... I'll probably end up with around 40 after the laggards germ... I had a large chem d mom getting fed with blumats.. but it just wouldn't grow right... The leaves keep turning yellow and spotted... I've never had this problem before... So I check the runoff... 3.0 EC!!! Holy shit. I had to leave that plant under the sink for like 5 minutes to get it down to 0.7 EC. The moral of this story, is to check the runoff when using blumats! My poor baby...

I've been super busy... haven't been back to the grow.. but I trust everything is working as it should be. The plants have plenty of nutrient solution. :D Heading back tomorrow to do work!

Ok, I haven't been around much lately... School was kicking my ass! I don't just roll over and play dead though, so I turned around and bitch slapped school. I've got my foot on her throat choking her out. WHO'S YOUR DADDY!
For real though I was concerned about getting kicked out. I have to maintain at least a 3.0gpa, and grad school is way more challenging that getting an undergrad. I guess that's how it's supposed to be.

I haven't been able to spend the time I would like to at the grow... I've pretty much just been popping in, making sure everything keeps humming along... I have a few ill plants, but I haven't killed any in a minute now. :woohoo:

Here's a pic of the veg room... I upgraded from 400w to 600w lamps, and the plants got a little heat stressed... So I attached some fans to the hoods and raised the lights. Those hoods really do reflect heat down onto the plants... Gotta pull air through them to cool the hood more than anything! ha ha... I think I see the advantage of batwing reflectors now... Or maybe just paint the ceiling and strap the lamps a few inches from the top... Oh well, not currently a concern... I'm not vegging trees just yet. :D I really want to flip those bushes on the right ASAP.

and my clones... they're finally rooting... a few are well rooted, but most just have bumps. Just gotta keep cutting more and more... next thing you know that octagon is gonna fill back up...

So back to that Chem D mom I was talking about, with the runoff EC of 3.0... I think I've figured out how to use the blumats with my particular mix of coco/perlite/hydoton! lol... Totally on accident. I used to have 2 moms on this one bucket... but I accidentally killed one, and stuck it's blumat in with the other mom. I wasn't happy with how the one blumat was performing... Checked the EC, found out it was high, flushed the shit out of the roots, reset both blumats to a cling... and they're dripping in tandem! Amazing! I must have needed 2 per #5 the whole time to make the damned things work. 1 does the job... but I normally have to open them up little by little... I haven't touched these things in over a week, when I initially set them up. Absolutely wild.

Anyway... Here's the mom... Recovering from general neglect. I just made a PVC trellis and got some pussy pink string to tie her up and pull her open. :D

Yeah, anything over 3 gallons i use 2 blumats per pot. only thing I would change is place the ends of each 3mm tubing at different sides/ends of the pot. But really, I would never use anything bigger than a 3 gallon smart pot, unless i was growing pound trees. With no Veg my sourD and ChemD's yield 3-5 oz's easy. 20 3gal plants under 2K horizontal or 20 2gal plants under/around 1200w vertical.

holla holla holla holla holla.
