Rather than spend hundreds on plastic trays, I typically build my "tables" into the floor, and plug a drain at the low point.

Like I did in my veg room? It cost me about $30 in wood, and I can walk all over it.

I build my tables waist high, because human ancestors have only been walking upright for maybe a million years and our spines have not yet evolved to handle the load. Back pain is real. You will get older. Plan accordingly.

bend at the knees? I agree if I was gardening into my golden years this might be a concern... but I'm not even 30 yet and I've had the arthritis cut out of my body. I'm good to go! Gonna have a real career soon.

Bobbles......This is my last post in public here so I`d like to address a couple things ok ?........I`ve NEVER seen more potential in someone that could absorb the knowledge I preached and put it into action more than you over the yrs , but .......

You chose to do your own twist on everything with the way "you thought" would improve and dial shit further , AFTER I told you repeatedly about both in your thread as well as in pm what was written in stone that I`d dialed during that "trial and error" period to make sure shit would produce consistently run after run , and you negated it , not to mention rootzone critter constant drawbacks.......now......

EVERYTHING you`ve had shortcomings on leads back to "hindsight bein 20/20" as in you can always look back and see what`d make things better , and if "you`d done weed doughnuts" with less plants and longer veg times , you`dve been solid and in a whole lot better shape than as we speak.......

And then here comes my suggestions about blumats that all my old head growbro`s are killin it with at my private medsites , and........I make suggestions as to try and help your maintenance schedule cuz schooled yas to be a 1 man show , cuz yas were even havin issues with your DTW setup , but....again......

I feel like I lead yas down the wrong path when all the while you wanted MORE faster and perpetually , but........shit happens with increased plant numbers if the redundant feed and environmental control system don`t take care of things when you aren`t around.....

So.....Still bein the survivor , yas start figurin shit out on your own to adapt or perish , and I`ve been proud ever since with the perpetual use of different setups that once dialed will most definitely produce and pay the bills....moral to the story.....

I preach "verbatim" on what worked for too many yrs ...but...Folks will do what they will and haveta learn from their "own" mistakes till they figure shit out on their own and dial accordingly cuz it`s human nature , and I understand that , but...

Anyone that ever followed my shit to a Tee is STILL yieldin accordingly without the thought of upgrades cuz my shit works , and simple is as simple does.....that said.....

Look at BST`s shit WITHOUT the corners angled and as close to what I did in my last yrs before shutdown with "flat" shelves , instead of angled racks with all the plants pointed dead at the stacked bulbs......anyways.....

Bobbles.....It don`t matter whether yas run horizontal with parabolics after learnin the rules bout environment ......I totally understand bout hedging yer bets for consistent returns , especially since your cutoff date`s gonna be shortened.......but again...

Yas can HAVE your real world tax payin setup , and STILL do shit on the side ta build retirement portfolio`s since yas know waaaaay too much knowledge and experience ta waste it on "legal" yearly income , ta quit cold turkey IME when yas alluded to "that professional" license option yas have access to.......regardless.....

Dude I'm not attacking vertical racks or you... All I said was that the increased yields had eluded me in this location. I think you're still worked up over the 20lb thread. The first one that got deleted. I didn't bother reading the ones that followed. You wouldn't get so frustrated if you would just take this shit for what it is. Stop taking it so personal.

I said I just didn't have the time to build another rack room with all the other shit I have going on. Also that I wouldn't have to work as hard to dial it in to get 6lbs out of my 8x8 if I just paid the bill for more lights... There's a lot fewer cuts to make and screws to drive building one big flood table... Or a few big flood tables. It just has to get done now. That's 1 room. I didn't say I'm gonna go tear down my octagon after this grow... lol it's already built. I'm gonna run that bitch till August. I'll probably build another square vert SOG as well when time and money permits. It doesn't right now, and it makes sense to do what's guaranteed to work so I can afford to screw around later.

At no point did I say DHF straight up fucked me and sold me on fantasy. Was I sold on something beyond my skill level? Absolutely. I learn best when I'm thrown into the fire. I sold myself though and asked a guy who's never posted a picture to help me out... It is what it is. I didn't have pics to go off of to know "exactly" how you did things. BST has a completely different feed system from anything you've ever suggested. I would say he's taken your idea and modified it as well. The difference being his modification worked. I've incorporated the micro-sprinklers in my design and everything is going well. I've even said that if I did another build it would be square like you suggested.

I hope when you come back ( and I know you'll be back cause this is only the millionth time you've taken your marbles and gone home) you've found yourself a new hobby out in the real world so you can get away from the forums more often. I know when I'm at my grow I eventually get in a rhythm of working and I forget about all my other stresses... and just focus on the stresses of growing. lol... Going and working alone for a couple days really helps get my mind off things that have been bothering me throughout the week.

now i see jbones is banned and DHF is out. I checked the jbones thread and he sure is banned.
if i had to list my top 5 people that i respect/love/follow/hear they would be in it.
i cant imagine either of them doing anything negative or derogatory or aggressive. They are both here ONLY to help and share and support.

I can't speak for Jbonez cause I agree he was mostly civil. It could just be temporary, idk. As for Freds...in recent history.. First Veg N Out and then Groovee got into trolling wars with DHF going back and forth, both called him out on reading things in other people's threads and passing off the information gleaned as his own. Now, I wouldn't have a dog in this fight... Except who goes around touting blumats are the best thing since sliced bread when they've never used them? I don't go around bragging about what someone else has done... I speak from real experience. Having read DHF's posts the past 2-3yrs straight, there are inconsistencies. Read my threads post by post and you'll find them... Like when DHF told me he used to trim 6lbs by hand in one day, and reset a room. Seems pretty fucking impossible in mine and any other real grower's experience. I don't care if all the plants are donksicles, that's a lot of weight to trim. Down south though, the trim job can be pretty rough because they're used to smoking brick weed... But still, wholesaling for $2k a lb 4 years ago in a non-med market? How? Or rather why? Lol When I got the bonsai hero to speed thing up, DHF said that he was too paranoid to have pot trimmers shipped to Hell. More recently he claimed to have used the testarosa model of the bonsai hero. If this was true, then why the fuck wasn't that shared with me when I was bitching about how long it was taking me to trim? I'm not saying DHF was never a real grower... Because I don't know that... I do know that DHF hasn't always told the truth. Whether or not it's to protect himself idk... But I don't like being lied to, and it's hard to tell the truth from the lies once you've been deceived. If you haven't been growing the past 4 years and you're happily retired, then it's time to do something else and move on. Nothing but dissatisfaction is going to come from hanging around weed sites wishing you were growing. That time would be better spent forming real world relationships... The thing with most of you 'Muricans is, that all that backslapping bro shit stands in the way of real communication and truthful input. What comes to DHF, I don't really care if he has grown a dime worth of bud in his life. blumats fucked me. Ive been one of the most outspoken anti blumat people here IMO. It really cost me. Ive really worked to make them work when it was clear to blind freddy that they wernt gonna.

i take advice from alot of people, both on and off forums. And i make my own decisions.
I rate DHF as one of the top 5 positive influences from this forum. even tho i dont take his advice all the time. I have told him this before.

as an adult i take alot of advice on board and then make my own decisions. and then I take my own consequences. And then i fuck things up and then i learn. And then i fuck things up again. This happens about 5 times before i make any progress.

I love people (anyone) that has an opinon (even if it opposes my own). If you have read my threads you will see i have crazy opinons about shit that fly in the face of "common knowledge". I will continue to do this. I make no apoloigies. Neither should anyone else.
