sweet , didnt know the sweet sativa made the the cut

It's not the most potent bud, but it's got a funky sweet taste to it, yields well and is a hardy plant.

Wow!!

Wow!!

What an awesome thread Blynx. You really have the micro cab down. I believe I am going to have to build a CFL flower cab so I can get some cfl buds also. I also train my plants instead of using a screen. Except instead of letting them get big and then bringing them down, I start the training when they are very young. I train the plant all the way around the edge of the pot its in then let it go up. I'm gonna have to give your method a try sometime.

wicked micro cab!!!

Here's the 11" x 11" CFl cab shortly after it's fourth week of flowering. I missed taking the week three flowering shots.

Just Awesome

Just Awesome

Nothing but props to you Blynx. As a new grower, I want to be able to do what you do - small boxes, CFL's and a steady supply of bud.

I noticed on some of your grows, such as you last C99 x Shire (SSSDH) grow, that during flowering some of your leaves yellow, curl, or turn purplish. Do you do anything about this or just let them grow?

I'm asking because im on week 6 of my first grow in a homebox mini (30x30x60cm) and i'm seeing the exact symptoms that your C99 x Shire (SSSDH) was showing, and I'm all freaked out - been reading up on problems for the last three days, and I can only say that my plant is suffering from EVERYTHING possible, and as I am in the 6th week of flower i dont know whether to flush or feed more (my pH, EC, temps, humidity are A-OK).

So do you do anything about this or not?

Also, how late into flower you supercrop - I had to supercrop 3 weeks into and was also worried.

Would love to see how you got your mother/veg room setup - cause I want to be doing exactly what you are doing here.

Once again - awesome stuff. Gonna keep following.

The leaves are supposed to go yellow (or purple, depending on the dominant pigment in the particular plant's genes) later on in flowering. It's what happens in nature, as well, and we call it Autumn. ;)

I'm not trying to answer for blynx, but I thought I'd chime in anyway, until he responds. Also, if you are concerned you can always start a thread and post a picture or two asking what people think about your plants. But yeah, in general, plants start losing their green when their genetics dictate that it's time to start focusing on the flowering or fruiting stage of its life cycle. It's because the plant itself stops taking in so much Nitrogen. If you haven't changed your nutrient formula or strength, and the plants just decide one day to start looking yellow, it's not because you suddenly stopped feeding it the same amount of N, see what I'm saying?

If you are concerned about your plants, you need to make sure all the usual stuff is in check, like the pH, the humidity, the temperature, so on. If all those things are fine, then there is nothing to worry about.

As Hush mentioned, color changes in the leaves later in flowering is normal. Cooler temps can bring out the colors too.

If you are planning on chopping around week 9 of flowering, I wouldn't be giving them any nutes/ammendments past week 6. I go by the rule of no food for at least the last 3 weeks of flowering.

I've super cropped up to week week 4 or so. Super cropping while the plant is still stretching just causes the growth to slow down for a little bit while the plant recovers. If the plant is done stretching, then super cropping just 'moves' colas to a different location because you basically just bent the branch.

Thanks for the input, i did check pH, temp and humidity, and they all seem fine. I dropped the pH slightly, it looked close to 6 on the color chart, now its a shade darker(redder?) on the test so i assume its around 5.8 I guess i'll just play the waiting game now. BTW posted pics of how it looks in the infirmary thread, but no responses yet :/

Plus I'm growing bag seed, no idea what strain, and what genetics, its my first grow so i am taking into account that i may f**k it up, learning a lot though.

In my experience, red color is too far. If it's actually showing a legitimate reddish tint instead of an orangey-yellow, your pH is too low and you are locking things out. Here's the color swatch, if you are using the universal indicator solution that is typically sold in stores:

Don't mean to hijack your thread, blynx. Back to topic! :tiphat:

Thanks for the love Blynx. Your micro-micro cabs continue to prove and re-prove the incredible bang for the buck CFLs provide in limited space grows. Keep up the good work.

Oh, and I challenge you to run Ace Pure Purple Haze (for 22+ weeks) in one of your cabs. ;)
