So it sounds like you have found the “happy medium” in regards to nutrient levels and Blumats. Mind sharing your EC levels by week of flowering (calmag/base)? It would be very helpful for anyone still trying to dial in their Blumats.

I run about 1.6 EC from beginning of flower until the last couple of weeks when I start tapering the EC down to where I'm at around 0.6 EC or lower at harvest. I don't use any calmag. I use calcium nitrate, a micronutrient blend, and monopotassium phosphate. All highly water soluble salts which is likely why I've never experienced any issues with clogging.

I've always run a low EC and I feel that the nutrient levels many feed at are are much too high and unnecessary for robust plant growth.

Gotcha. Do you change the ratios for different phases of flower (pk boost?) or do you keep the same mix going the whole time and just dilute at the end?

I keep the same mix throughout flower. I don't use any PK boosters. I have in the past added potassium sulfate around week 5 in flower for a few feedings but I haven't done that for quite awhile and never noticed any difference with or without it. I've found in the past that adding excessive amounts of any nutrient can cause nutrient antagonism and actually cause deficiencies while feeding at a lower EC throughout the entire grow eliminate the potential for that to occur.

Nutrient feeding is a very contentious issue with some like myself believing in a lower feed throughout the grow while others are convinced of the need to modify feedings throughout the grow and the use of multiple additives. I myself stick to just base nutrients at a lower EC than many feed at.

I use a calcium nitrate that's 13-0-0 with 18% calcium. The micronutrient blend I use is 3-10-20 and includes potassium nitrate, magnesium sulfate, potassium phosphate, and other micronutrients. That's what I use during the vegetative stage. I add a very small amount of additional monopotassium phosphate 0-49-29 at flower and that's the extent of what I feed.

I'm basically feeding a similar formula to Jacks or Masterblend. Simple formulas that provide everything needed for healthy growth from most plants including cannabis. I like to keep it simple and it works. It doesn't need to be complicated.

Good stuff Cmoon.
I just remembered that I also did use drip clean.

Iv not used much thats gone slimey in the pipes but obviously the worse case senerio, as iv stated before regular drip systems get the same problems and simplicity with nutrients on tank work best...does not mean you cant handwater things like superthrive(veg) or blackstrap mollases(bloom) for example whenever, the blumats sit awaiting the opportunity to come into play:dance013:

What did the OP choose??? Blumats here for like 7 years, occasional issues but almost always my fault. I grow amazing plants with almost zero effort.

Looks like the Florflex has nicked it, strange I cant find a successful completed grow using them but can link you dozens of blumat triumphs inside and out from new to experienced growers, why is that?

FloraFlex is newer than Blumat and you see a lot of people using them on Instagram.

Over 4 years old and on the biggest canna grow site in the world we have 5 threads relating to floraflex (search engine)

but no buddage:tiphat:

Blumats for the win. Not too mention their Surface Blumat which regulates capillary mats for mothers, clones and plants in early veg!

Can’t speak for blumat until after this season I just ordered a 12 pack of the tropf for my outdoor living soil this year. I use floraflex indoors and absolutely love them

You are using a third grade vocabulary when high school should really be a requirement for cannabis cultivation. Blumat is in Europe from what I understand, English a second or third language for you maybe? The green plastic looks like plates from discount grocery grossly overmarked price. Try organic soil, recirculating your water/reservoir feed, and increasing container sizes for growing media to reduce water food power and money consumption :)

INTERNATIONAL Cannagraphic. As in not everybody speaks English. I think you're a dick. Don't bash somebody and then try to help them.

Sounds good, you must get some reasonable figures without complication.

Im looking at this systen as less complex but simular to the rain makers entering the market which are very costly for a large grow, be nice to see some pictures of the roots and stem the floraflex can produce.

i dont really have any complaints thats for sure! as long as you clean the heads and elbows where the water lines connect to the heads between crops you are golden! i havent used the trays much but i do like them and they disperse the water evenly fairly well but i use the stake sprayers. pictured is some root mass from a transplant out of i believe a half or 1 gallon bag using flora flex

Another trick from my secret, private Blumat chest of tricks and tips is to put the end of the drip line in a plastic straw (good luck sourcing one these days) which then you insert vertically down to about 2/3 overall depth of your container.
This way it will start wicking through the medium from the bottom, an area which is normally not properly watered, especially in deeper containers. Bam!
