Didn't have time to read the whole dc thread, but I checked it out a little. I would hope 4 nodes would mean higher yield? DC is kind of a weird leafy sort of plant to test this theory, so maybe mine will be a better test?
You suggested in the DC thread that out could be the result of inbreeding. If that is the case, then that would be a testament to how closely the digi and your blueberry are actually related? Could just be a fluke I guess, but it's more fun to speculate on heritage!
Another thing I picked up from the DC thread was that out didn't show on the first few nodes. This didn't either, which is why I'm just now catching it. I really hope it didn't grow out of it, and I get some double sized berry smelling colas!
So exciting! Thanks again for sharing these genetics with me!

hey Gil. congrats on the quad! certainly makes for some fat buds. whether its a desirable or fixable trait is kind of debatable but they are fun for sure. if you can clone it and it stays quad then that would be fairly unusual.

look for the long thread by GMT called 3 plus 3 or something like that. hes gone the furthest to breeding a trifoliate/quad line. he knows his stuff

Thanks VG. I checked out that thread. Way too long and technical to actually read the whole thing, but I skimmed it. One thing I did pick up, is that he has deducted that the trait usually comes from dj's blue line. Specifically the "Oregon purple Thai" I think? I would say my quad totally supports that theory! And probably shows that the digi was also descended from dj's blue line. I'll be taking cuttings from all of them, so we'll see if the trait stays. They're getting too big, too fast! I've got clear out my flower room in a hurry.

Hey all. Just time for a quick update.

Plants are coming down on Thurs or so, which puts me at 12 weeks. #1 bulked up nicely. There's a chance I'll let her run a bit longer yet. I'll decide when I'm chopping the others. #2 is light green and the frostiest. #3 has purpled and foxtailed. Aromas all seem fairly similar but I'll check more thoroughly when I chop. They're all very berry though.

I chopped a couple popcorn buds off #3 a few weeks ago and dried them with my food dehydrator. They tasted blueberry with a biscuit-sorta flavor, kind of reminded me of blueberry pancake or muffin batter. Nice high as I recall, too, for being an early popcorn sample.

I'll get some pix up in the next day or so. Cheers.

Sounds awesome! Can't wait to see the pics. Were your nighttime temps cool enough to bring out the purples, or do you think would have come out regardless? I'm hoping I get some that will purple without cold nights. My temps don't ever really drop below 70.

Basement temps but I doubt it ever gets very cool inside my cab. 82F right now according to my cheapie hardware store thermometer. I'll try to remember to check it tomorrow morning before lights on.

It's not super purple all over but there's some here and there. Foxtails are funky. It looks nice. #2 intrigues me a lot, too. I've read reviews of bb that say the green ones are better smoke than the purples.

I've got cuts of #'s 2 and 3 but #1 didn't make it. She needed more time in veg but I rushed her. Oh well. I've got a few seeds left. I want to find a nice male and keep this line going.

Thanks JD. Throw some pics up when uppity get a chance.
I probably got in over my head by running the whole pack, but I wanted to really find the keepers.

Hey John Deere, got a quick question for ya.

Is that 12 weeks from the flip, or from first sign of pistils?

I got one in the cab right now, been 10 days from the flip. still no signs of pistils or balls. Keeping my fingers crossed over the next few days. But the stem rub is pure blueberry, so I am hopeful for a female, as I have no room right now for any males. Thanks!

sounds very promising JD!

fwiw my blueberry cut completely ignores 12/12 for at least a week and keeps growing like mad... which means it doesnt stop stretching for about 4 weeks.

i'm just about to send a batch of BDB seeds into the bay along with a few other bits.

I guess my nose doesn't work right, because so far mine all just smell like stinky pot. I'm sure when they start flowering I'll get some complex smells, but the stems are just normal pot stink.

I have 6 bluedigiberry f2 females in a 185 liter tub under a 92000 lumen 600w digital HPS. things have gotten a bit out of hand but lets see what happens anyways.

OK I am literally picking up the camera and the car keys right now. I will be back later with pics.

Honestly, with in the digi lines, I've never had a single question as to what plants were going to have a heavy blueberry influence - a simple stem rub in veg and it was OBVIOUS. I'm surprised you guys aren't finding it to be more pronounced...

Thanks dank frank for pointing me to this thread. I am gonna follow along to party hope I am not that late. I am also a lover of the blueberry. Been chasing that old school blueberry funk smell. Not the water down Dutch versions. Except for Dutch passion. Franks been saying great things about this digi so I can't wait to see some results. Peace mike

That last pic is of the super stretchy sativa pheno. I'm guessing that's more of the moms influence. The shortest one with thick stems smells extremely sweet and tart-fruit with a stem rub. The rest all smell quite nice but not as powerfully aromatic.
