Blue Ray Vs. High Definition Drives? who will win?

HDMI is able to output 1080i, as well as VGA cables.
Why is the xbox360 unlikely to do so? mine does, using either hdmi or vga connectors
vga is actually superior to hdmi because it has digital (optical) audio output built in as well.
regardless of that, blu-ray has won, and they'll soon be flooding teh stores. i for one, am excited.

BLUE RAY will win. Security is better and some major movie labels will be going with Sony soon for the blue ray technology, i heard a techy lady on talk radio swear by it...
Bottom line:
If you want to watch ALL movies you'll need both. But internet WILL be a HUGE part in the end because all of that HD content can be downloaded and played on a flat panel. And wait until they blow your minds with 1440P and UHD.(Ultra High Def.)
There's going to come a point. Are we going to spend thousands of dollars on expensive sh*t that makes things seem and look and sound realer and realer? Like, "Wow that mountain looks so clear I feel like I can touch it!" Or, "Man, I feel like I'm right there swimming with those fish on the reef!!! It's so clear it blows my mind!"
Do you know you can ACTUALLY go on trips, climb mountains, go diving, and REALLY do things with that money? And have memories? And be sure to bring along a disposable camera to take pictures of all the things that you see that people will spend thousands on trying to get really clear pictures of.
Is this fu*king with anyone else's mind?

i cant stand two formats, and like alot of others im not buying untill theres one format.
i prefer blueray for its larger capacity. nothing else.
i hated the DVD+ and DVD- BULLSHIT and wont tollerate anymore.
^^ yea im leanin towards blue ray...i like having choice..but man...the choice out of two is harsh...like now me & missnycdiesel are searching for an mp3 player....we are lookin at the creative labs zen 8 gig... still not sure? i want it to be able to play pirated music and video(of course id never do it..of course its all about capability) lol...
