Its fairly interesting taking a look at the divergent takes on the great reset idea. I have seen mention on both sides, with entirely different takes. I'm a bit suspect of the folks opposed to the idea that aren't millionaires, they might have been sold on some bullshit. To me, society isn't really working for a bunch of people resulting in what we see now. I think that's going to continue and accelerate. Manufacturing left in the 80s, tech towards the end of the 90s, finance/insurance 2010s. There just aren't that many opportunities out there anymore and lots got the rug pulled out from under them. Sows chaos and some shitty people look to capitalize.

When people get desperate they burn it down. Maybe like 95% of us can work it out before then.

The wealthy rug-pullers are the ones who shaped the shit show that is currently playing out. You trust them over others, well...trust that they will only seek to add to their wealth and control.

And I have a right to judge her as piece of trash that I’d prefer to not know irl

You don’t have to share my opinion... but anyone who enforces the drug war can kick rocks as far as I’m concerned.
They’ll find nothing but merciless disdain and mockery from me.
I have no compassion for those that would cage another human for ingesting drugs or selling drugs or any other “crime” that doesn’t have a victim.
Sorry, I’m kind of autistic when it come to this..
I’d say more but I think I’ve made my fuck the govt. stance fairly clear.

Al Capone was a victim of the times. Greed never entered the picture. No need to look further. Prohibition made him do it.

Fentanyl for all. My drug dealer would never fuck me. After all, it’s all about the love. Send cash.

Fuck them greedy bastards. It’s all about the money. If the shit was legal, they’d be robbing liquor stores.

When our economy is based on restaurants and Disneyland, something ain’t right.

Absolutely. But it's more bad systems that are the cause of pain.

Up here, at 18, they cut them loose. On the street with no skills and very little support. It's a god damned sin.

Street and system kids are treated as you describe but [in BC] most developmentally disabled folks receive ongoing support. I worked with both.

Physically disabled are still treated with a sink or swim philosophy. Here is your $800/900 per month - now go rent a place and buy some food - or worse.

My bad.. I missed the context. (Good thing I’m just a hammer swinger and not a professor at a diverse university)
Ur 100% correct.., the bigger the beast gets the more it must eat.
We have the biggest most expensive government in the history of the world.
And next year it will be bigger, and the year after bigger still.
They will tax and print and force our currency onto others at gunpoint until it all come tumbling down.
(Or at least that’s what the economists that I listen to predict anyway)

I'm the vulture with investment in other currencies waiting for that US cash crash just like 2008-10.

I think the powers that be need to do something to keep the bread a circuses going. Or we all buy the 600 buck guillotines and get down French style.

People are and have been losing the ability to achieve that proverbial American dream. The rabble needs to get mad enough to do something about it, or they need to be placated. My guess is the folks in power have an interest in placating the people to maintain the status quo.

Biden said he would bring back jobs/manufacturing to the US, just hold his feet to the fire and make it happen, same with legalizing weed! :sumo:

Literally the power companies not wanting to give up power.

Low cost green energy in the deserts of Arizona stretching towards L.A. A new industrial technological belt dependent on local power generation. Free the power.

Bill Gates knows.

If we actually ever have infrastructure week, valuable jobs will be created.

Weed won’t be legalized. Biden and Harris are promoting decriminalization. I’m not sure how that would effect very much.
