Thanks BT. Back to the drawing board. I'm guessing the idea is to roll the spent water into the res through the water fall action and cause oxygenation to the de-oxygenated water rather then recycling oxygenated water over and over? Peace to ya BT,2buds

Thanks Bro!!!

Thanks Bro!!!

Long time grower and lurker here....Just droppong by to give props to Big Toke....

I've been through a number of different growing styles and setups, but so far these Bio Buckets are surpasing them all in terms of growth rate and ease of use

I'm currently running a software controlled sealed room
4x1000 Air Cooled HPS
24 Bio Buckets built to Big Tokes Specs
Strains are Critical Mass 47 (AK-47 x Critical Mass) and Soda Pop (A limited run of Cotton Candy x Big Mac)
Water temps stay at 70f via a Chiller
Air temps 84f during lights on
Humidity 70% veg dropping to 50% for late flower
CO2 1500 ppm
GH nutes with the addition of Floralicious Plus

Here are a few pics from week 3 of veg

Again just wanted to drop by and give props to Toke for the guidance and inspiration....Thanks Bro !!

Welp, Ive been convinced to set up a little bio-bucket sytem, after all of the raving reviews. Just a few questions:

Im going to have a cabinet thats 37"W/39"D/75". Do you think i will be able to set up a 6 bucket system? I was thinking 2 5 gallon pots across, and 3 deep. with 37" across I should have enough room in the middle for the retun pipe? Waht do you think? Its going to be under 600 Watts HPS.

I know I think I read that you put your clones straight into the bio buckets, but I want to veg in a seperate cab to decrease the time between harvests, what do you reccomend vegging 6-8 plants in that would easily transport into your bio buckets? Preferably something that doesnt take up to much room, as I would like to keep the veg cab as small as possible!

Thanks for all of your help bigtoke, youre very helpful!
:joint:

edit: Im planning on keeping the resevoir outside of the cabinet, so that wont use up any of my room.

Also, whens the DVD comin out?! :canabis:

Sup herm,

Have you read rayguns bio-grow cab yet? If not here’s a link to it http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=17536 this could be very insightful for all you growers that are wanting to go bio-cabs……….

………..I’ve never grow in a cab before but that sound about right ~ I would think about two weeks would be enough time to Veg in one and then to move to the other and start flowering………if you put freshly rooted clones 3” to 5” into Veg-Cab in two weeks they should be between 10” to 12” that would be a good time to move them into the Flowering cab ~ as a norm, most MJ plants double there size in the two week stretch and you should end up with 20” to 24” plants, that should leave you with plenty of room to spare for the flowering………

>>also, whens the DVD comin out?<< soon my friend very soon….lol

Hey thanks for the tips. I was wondering though, what should I actually veg in? Meaning, im going to be flowering in the bio-buckets, I cant figure out what to veg in? Is there small hydro set-ups that people use to veg in? Small bubblers or something?

............well seeing that I Veg and Flower in the same Bio-System I wouldn’t know, but it would make sense to use another hydro-system of some sorts that would make it easy to relocate your plants with………….keep in mind that your only going to be using it for about two weeks three at the most!!

………..everything can be down sized because of the time that your going to be growing in it……..sooooo should be a farley simple project……….good luck Herm.

Is there a mini system you could make for cab growers? i am starting to understand what you are doing and its pretty exciting. I just dont have the room. I could fit an 8 gallon res with 4x 2gallon pots inside the cab.

Those plans are in the workings but I’m just not there as of yet………but long story short yes!! The Bio-Buckets can down sized to be made suitable for the cab growers.

Ps……….use the same link that I supplied BigHerm with to familiarize yourself with what it will look like………Raygun has done a great job in adapting the Bio-Buckets to the cab.

Supp BigHerm ~ …………growing to achieve a perpetual harvest is tricky to say the lest and expensive also, one has to double everything!! This is one of the reasons that when I do a grow that it is large, this way it would be the same differents as growing twice.

Schneider your cracking me up dude; yea the DVD/CD will be packed FULL of everything Bio-Bucket’er would ever dream of, I have been working very hard on developing a Bio-Bucket/Design/Nutrient Management Program that’s going to be killer!! I completed beta version of the program about a month ago and it works great!! It has been in the testing phase by some of the local peeps that’s been running the Bio’s for a wile now…….as of now it is still in the working format of a spread/sheet program as to make it easy to work all of the bugs out and to make whatever modifications and upgrades that are needed before it’s release. Seeing that I am doing ALL of the programming of this application it is uncertain when it’s exact release will be, but this is a good thing in a way because it just give more testing time of the already working program………..there will be a CD with the program of the working application, plus I have already written a PDF manual as to make it supper easy to follow and understand, the DVD is packed FULL of every grow journals plus photos of BigTokes documents and much more……I am thinking of putting some live footage of some grows not for sure about that yet…………as for the asking price I have not come to that part yet…lol

As with ALL of BioTokes stuff when it becomes available it will be exclusively thru ICMag………..as to in some way help support this site that has given us sooooo much!! Thanks to Gypsy/Ducthgrown these two are the boom and if anything of mine becomes available it will be thru them!! I hope this is enough intel for ya.

Hi big toke,
i love the idea of the DVD/CD on bio-buckets.
I know this might be a bit early but do u have a rough idea how much u're going to sell them for?

No not as of yet……..there is still so much that one must look into, shipping/handling and advertising/hosting……..but no matter, there is nothing like it and it will be worth every penny!! When it is ready I will let everyone know and there will be a new Bio-Program Thread to discuss about it.

Hi Bigtoke

I'm almost finnished my bio sytem and I have a question for you.I have a choice between 6" & 10 " baskets, which ones should I Buy.I can't find 8" except on line and they would cost 2 times as much compared to buying the 6 or 10" baskets.
Thanks

just keep an eye on that one inch drain coupling but in those big tubs I don’t think your going to have a problem.

ocanabis, if it were me I would go with the 10”……….good luck bro.

10 inch net pot? is it round or square? i have a 10x10x6 square net pot i was thinking of using but i thought it would restrict water flow.
mabe i should swap them before my roots establish into my 6 inch net pots?
