Big plants dying suddenly

I just lost a huge tree to fusarium and another one is on the way out. It's devastating. Every branch begins wilting and comes off at the main stem. The veins within the branch are blackish grey where it meets the main stem. Nothing can be done.

Peace

I have hard pack clay/Jack hammer soil/broke an auger on a tractor soil with rocks the size of bowling balls.
What happens is the water sinks to the bottom brewing molds and then the top roots will get no water.
We used 300 gallon smart pots, because I had a neighbor get root rot .

On a test hole we dug one hole and filled with water and it NEVER DRAINED EVEN AFTER 3 DAYS!!!

The soil is like solid metal buckets.

You can try to Speer the soil tops with bamboo so it kind of goes in the roots better.

The best way to survive this or feel better is plant 6 small plants in every hole.
Small = 2 foot.

Someone you know has to many.

Water less every day in small amounts morning and night?

hello i have ben around some great growers this summer that grow big trees like you.
they are telling me that if you are gona grow big trees you dont start the plants in small containers coz when it gets "Big" the roots have ben throwing its roots trught one and another and it with the time eventually strangle herself, i got told that it is one of the most important things when you "big" plants never get the roots to bend, my guess is that it strangled herself

you can break the ball up and or make an X with a razor blade and make a line with a blade down the sides. Generley plants do NOT LIKE 5 gallon bags. All mine are 8 footers now and 20 foot around and all from 4 gallon bags and Ill never do that again because you have to use root accelerator and all manner of vudo to get them from the root bound.

Hulu pots are ok but im going with 15 gallon tree pots.

I still think he has rotted water below, I know becase I have the same "hard pan" or "DG" soil, its like volcanic dust.

Did you check drainage in the holes before backfilling? There's a great thread on here about the disaster that can cause, it's sort of like planting in a huge pot with no holes.

Whoops, I'm a slow poster XD Wandered off for a smoke. Basically was JayTrinity said sounds bang on.

When the dirt in the pots dries a bit, take a shovel, and whap the sides of the pots with the backside of the shovel.

This fractures the dirt and lets a lot more air into the soil down deep.

Im so sorry for your loss

Look, problem on just a half a plat showing you to problem isnt in the groung at roots but above ground in stem or branch.

Similar problem I have almost every year.
All what I find is moth or some other shit what left larva in the branch. Its all ok for some time, but somewhere before flowering branches start to die.

If you look careful you gonna find small hole in the branch or steam, cut branch or stem and you gonna find larva/worm in it.
Sometime on this way I lose half a plant, when I cut sick part she ofc continue with growing and finish well.

Still do not know what is that and how to fight with it.

cheers

Fusarium or verticulam

Avtinovate makes Actino-iron....that could also help. I've had both issues over the years. I'm sorry ur going thru this :(

Had this happen to me...

The fix? Mefenomax 2 AQ, couple drops in the res that you are watering from, clears that shit up almost instantly!

G`day Krunch

Did you read the MSDS ??

Quali Pro Menofoxam 2 AQ
Hazardous decomposition of product .
During a fire irritating and possibly toxic gasses may be generated by thermal decomposition or combustion .

Can decompose at high temperatures giving off toxic gasses .

Thanks for sharin

As with any other products like Avid, Eagle20, you use sparingly in veg only...

You use literally drops in a res...

I`ll pass thanks ...
That is greed in my opinion. Using poisons and selling the product for cash .

Krunchbubble's go to method is to reach for nasty pesticides / fungicides that aren't rated for use on consumable crops...RIGHT on the label it says TURF and ORNAMENTAL lol !!

His classic response is "only use it in veg"

Bro , are you loading a GCMS standard for these pesticides and fungicides and testing to see what kind of half-life the have in cannabis or if the even work themselves out of this plant as there is ZERO testing on it to see if its a safe interaction?

I feel really bad for your 'patients'
