There's a lot of problems that plague America. For instance, meth use is very high in the rural midwest. In those areas you have a high % of obesity, heart disease, etc. Those things create strain on our healthcare infrastructure.

It's not a revelation that the highest population density has the highest volatility. Not to mention poverty plays a huge roll. We have a lot of work to do for the citizens of this country and a lot of problems that need to be addressed.

Unfortunately, police budgets are bloated and police officers are over utilized. Our government prioritizes the military budget and tax cuts for the wealthy over mental health, healthcare and education.

A lot of socioeconomic problems stem from poverty. If citizens earned a liveable wage and had access to quality education and healthcare, you'd probably see a decrease in gang violence and death. Poverty breeds desperation. Lack of education creates a self sustaining downward spiral of those effected.

Democrats are not without flaw. A lot of the establishment Democrats can fuck right off IMHO. Managing cities are not an easy task without the right tools. Criminal prosecution does not stop crime. Attacking the symptom doesn't do anything except keep prisons full and bloat police budgets. You need to go after the core problem. Poverty and education.

Gun control works in every country that uses it. I'm not saying ban gun. Most left leaning citizens don't want to ban guns. The problem is, as grow legal stated, what good does gun control do in Illinois if you can drive an hour to Indiana?

You need to plug all the holes in order to stop a leak.

Again, the gun violence problem in major cities will not stop by "sending in the feds". It's a societal problem.

The gang lifestyle, along with nothing but dead end jobs. Banning guns will do little to stop it when we have more guns than people, many guns being unregistered. I think bringing good paying jobs to inner cities is the best we can do to help.
