CDC should have handled this and reported updates to the president. CDC had a plan and a Pandemic response unit that was cut and crippled by the president. The president hasn't had a covid briefing in months so Nothing was done on a federal level to fight this virus. He played golf.

LOL, it's a virus, raise you're fist up in the air, shake it and blame that Bitch, Mother Nature or some foolish lab tech in a Wuhan lab.

Almost every American citizen with access to the news had at least 3 mos. advance warning that this was coming and people in China were fighting it with masks, gloves and social distancing.

If trump had followed the CDC 'plan' or shut everything down he would have been labeled a fascist dictator by the left, just like Biden will experience when he tries.

...... and now that it's been mentioned, I don't recall hearing ANY squawking about the great masses of highly pre-organized #BLM 'peaceful protest' demonstrators, rioters and Antifa used to win an election.

That was OK 'cause most of them were wearing masks and they were politically useful!

.....Now Biden has a plan and trumpers are crying about it. If we had done this in the first place we would have many fewer deaths and not be in the deep shit we are now.

Who sez trumpers are crying about it? The plan is so new that most folks aren't even aware of it!

...... but as soon as they find out it will become a bi-partisan issue I'm sure!

......... and as far as "the deep shit we are now", no one knows how deep it's gonna get.

Like I said, it's a virus, a new, unknown corona virus that had already mutated by the time it came to USA from Europe and has now mutated again and become even more deadly in minks.

So I won't be blaming Biden or trump if plans/no plans don't work out, some things are bigger than anyone's 'plans'!

Let's just hope that the coming immunizations are effective.

Part of being charge is that you are responsible when things go wrong under your watch. You are very correct that the dems would have bitched about whatever, I do have to make the point that sticking it to the libs has been a central theme of trumps presidency so its going to be a stretch to say they had much impact on his response. Trump didn't do much early on as it was hitting liberal cities first, thats unacceptable from whats supposed to be the leader of a country.

We have a small army of doctors and scientists in the CDC. This is their job. If the Orange Dictator had shut up, let them do their job, and listened to the professionals then there would have been far far fewer dead Americans.

Instead, We see him not wearing a mask and holding rallies with "millions" of people wearing no masks. Guess what happened. They got sick and probably some died as a result of being there or infected by some one who was there. Trumps family and entourage got sick as well. Outside trumpworld everyone else views this as stupidity.

Now, just like Bush leaving a financial disaster for Obama to clean up, trump leaves a big mess for Biden to clean up. See a pattern here?
