Maybe. Maybe it was mishandled through gross negligence and until there is a vaccine the only solution was to follow some common sense tactics.

maybe it isn't anyone's fault and maybe there isn't any solution until the vaccine is available?

How does Trump not own his response to the pandemic, which was to act like it was no big deal?

South Korea and U.S. both got their first case 1/20/2020.

South Korea has 30 per 100,000,
U.S. had 1,650 per 100,000 infections as of a couple weeks ago.

U.S. has 4% of World population, 25% of COVID death.

Sounds like Trump was worse than useless, criminally negligent and indifferent is closer to reality.

What’s the point of having a federal government if they can’t respond to a health crisis at all?

Here's a general rule for trumpism-
If it's good - it's solely because of Trump.
If it's bad - it was 100% not his fault.

This is the first rule of cult like behavior. Hypocrisy does not exist with the cult leader. Trump has tweeted over and over again about Obama's "mishandling of H1N1" where ~20,000 people died in 12 full calenders months but takes no responsibility for 250,000+ lives lost in 9months.

He takes responsibility for the accomplishments of other and rejects any responsibility for his own failures.

Maybe it is someones fault and people should be held accountable.

242,000 deaths so far.

CDC should have handled this and reported updates to the president. CDC had a plan and a Pandemic response unit that was cut and crippled by the president. The president hasn't had a covid briefing in months so Nothing was done on a federal level to fight this virus. He played golf.

Now Biden has a plan and trumpers are crying about it. If we had done this in the first place we would have many fewer deaths and not be in the deep shit we are now.

Did you know that Biden is only winning the electoral college by 140 thousand votes and that is why he's president elect Biden?
the 5.1 million adavantage in the popular vote doesn't matter imagine that
trump virus is fighting hard because he knows he's really only losing by 140,000 not 5.1 million and actually he needs less votes to win the electoral college he would not need Nevada so damn 104 thousand votes are determining this election

South Korea didn't have tons of idiots out protesting all summer long either.

“Thousands rally against South Korea’s Leader despite virus Warning.

Thousands of anti government protesters, armed with umbrellas and raincoats, marched through the soggy streets of the capital Saturday, ignoring pleas to stay home, amid a surge in coronavirus infections.

It appeared at least a few were detained after scuffles with one of the more than 6,000 police officers who were deployed to closely follow the protesters through the streets near Seoul’s presidential palace”

How do you distinguish between your fellow citizens, and “tons of idiots”?

Didn't mean to rep this. The data is fairly clear that mask wearing protesters increasing covid cases is negligible. They wore masks and remained outdoors.

Now take the Sturgis motorcycle rally and compare lol. The Dakotas are now a hotbed for covid.

The main difference is these countries masked up. They didnt have half their population complain wearing a mask was a Marxist ploy to throw you in a concentration camp or whatever these idiots believe.

I seen plenty of protesters not wearing a mask. America is much bigger than South Korea so the comparison won't work for me.

The population density in South Korea is 527 per Km2 (1,366 people per mi2).

USA 2019 , the population density was approximately 92.9 residents per square mile of land area.

The comparison between South Korea and the USA really hits home when you look at population density. South Korea has 13 times the population of the USA per sq mile and they knocked covid out.

Too bad we had a president that cut and run from covid while countries like South Korea took it head on.

Of course it was spreading among protesters that's not the point. It's going to spread regardless. In many states that had protests and also social distancing guidelines, the uptick in these areas were negligible.

If protests and riots were the main spreader of covid I'd think Portland OR would be ground zero.... But it's not.

Jesus christ Absolem you went straight to the jugular. That's why states like NJ/CA/NY were hit hardest first. Not only are they area of high commerce and travel but also have high population density.

South Korea crushed their response and USA wasnt able to do it because of lack of leadership and poor intelligence levels. A lot Americans simply don't care about one another.

Think about this. If we shut the country down to the bare minimum-absolute-essential-only for 3 weeks and had a comprehensive stimulus package immediately we could've cut the numbers down to almost nothing and been back to work in April or May. Prob maxed out at 30,000-40,000 deaths in a year. Employment levels wouldve remained the same, people wouldn't have been evicted and/or lost their jobs, stock market wouldn't have crashed and Trump could've sailed into a solid victory. BUT MUH FREEDUMBS!

It's a smaller country so easier to control, I'm sure they didn't keep the sick in nursing homes and have stricter measures not possible here. Either way I don't really care I'm too young to worry about the Chinese virus.

You missed the entire point I made. Not surprising.

Why is it always about you???? Young bones turn old. Then the young can laugh at you when you are old and sick and tell you they don't care about your life.

I'm a Gen'xer and do care about the older and younger people around me. Not in my nature to be a selfish person like yourself.
