You guys really are artists with this stuff. Hearing comments about flavours and aftertaste certainly makes me see just how far this can be taken.

I have some (probably) very newbish questions if I may.

My oil does not taste or smell very good. Its like a menthol taste and it is very rough to smoke (burning the oil in bowl of weed). The uncured plants had this and this is why its come through.
But I am wondering if there is a way for me to get this tasting a little better. The buds are now cured and dont have much of this taste/smell anymore. So I think maybe if I purge with butane and then evap off the butane very slowly...then whip it afterwards... this would help the taste?
Is that right?

My starting plant material isnt great. But for me it is fine as a first try. I would just like to try to make the oil taste better.

2nd.
Are these special oil-burner-pipe-attachments you use available online? it sounds like you all get them specially made? am I right to assume that its an attachment you buy that fits into your current smoking receptacle?

Thank you! Once I have some solid plans on making this next batch better, ill post pics.

i'm not sure you can fully enjoy all the flavors of oil unless you're smoking exclusively oil off a hot plate, topping bowls is wonderful but unfortunately the taste is severely degraded. i would opt for an oil-only piece for tastings.

for tasty oil the starting material needs to be of good quality, generally flowers or very frosty shake/trim. the less broken down it is the better flavor you'll have

heat and chlorophyll are the greatest enemies to flavor
